Popular Post Stark
Hey Wyrdos! Behold the most ambitious project of mine! The first brick of whole diorama for Ortega family. When I started to create this miniature I know that this crew will be the Spanish Inquisition style and I was thinking "Where they can be?". And then I decided that the bar will be great. Brawl in the bar. I should finish it for the 2 July, for the Moscow Skirmish Day. That will be my best work for now (actually just painting part, diorama will be crafted by the true master). At the moment you can enjoy the Perdita Ortega!

Stark
I feel uncomfortable because of long unupdating my topic, but I'm working hard on the bar for Ortegas' crew. Here's a little teaser - finished Cardinal Francisco and WIP senior Inquisitor Nino

Popular Post Stark
Long time no see, wyrdos! I know, I promised the great diorama, but I didn't finish it for competition on 2 July (approximately 60% done) and since then I can't force myself to painting( But I took some photos of my finished ortegas. Today I show you the Cardinal Francisco, and try to finish the bases for other members of the crew. And I first time use the black background, is it better? P.S. Please, somebody force me for painting somehooooooow >_< #lazyass
Popular Post Stark
While being on vacation I finally finished my starter! I think you remember my scion of blood, but since I returned to World of Warcraft two months before the Legion release, I was pretty much inspired by Eredar chaosborn. They looks almost as my nephilims with black and cracky wrists and foots, but I was not satisfied with the result. Something was missing. And then I realized - that's it!! A little bit of the Fel and voila! And I change rifles barrel, because it was not a weapon of sniper, it was a ridiculous toy. And the whole team)

Stark
Hey Wyrdos! I have plenty of new works for you, but I'll take an example from ravenswood and will post one image every friday) At least I'll try)) First model will be the Austringer #1, or Mr. baked-Potato-face. Next week I'll show you the second one and the most time-consuming project I've ever did. But I'll post him earlier in my Instagram if you interested ( @grey_kardinal )
Viruk
Everything looks great here but I particularly like the pattern you've painted, adds a lot of character. I didn't even notce it was there while I was working on mine and painted it like a normal shirt lol
Stark
@Viruk Thank you) I recalled that the Native Americans wore the hair-pipe breastplates, and since the prototype for this grumpy man was clearly the Indian - I decided to add some ethnic elements) Moreover that adds nice colors
Popular Post Stark
Friday is here and here is my second Austringer! It is really the most difficult and time-consuming project I've ever did. When I first time saw this model I decided that it needs a special base. Like my Judge. Because both of their poses are also highly dynamic and stupid in real life (seriously - what man will fight like Judge? He's what? The ballet dancer?), so that Austringer should definitely sit on some kind of the cornice, the ledge of the cliff, tree or smth like that. In such a place his pose has sense and it's blast (or looks like BATMAAAN)! So I began creating the tree, but the simple tree did't fit, because too large for standard base and has the wrong shape. The only tree - is a cedar. So I first tried to scratch build. It was fun, so I'm a little carried away and create tree, the cliff and first time worked with water effect. And all of it - the first time and I'm very pleased with the result)) The only trouble was with the crown of the tree - you have ever tried to create pine crown? No? It's hard. I'm looking all over the Internet and found NONE of the good example of cedar trees. NONE, KARL! Only fir from the brush for washing bottles. The most close to the cedar needles was the artificial pine needles for floristry, but it's too large for my cedar( But I found a way out! If you want I can write the short guide how create this tree) And of course the painting. The man was easy and nice to paint but his winged friend... At the beginning I had a plan to paint it like the other one - the bald eagle. By the way, since my early childhood - this is my favorite bird. At the my fathers ornithological center lived some of that gorgeous birds and I always liked to watch them. Much later I learned that they are symbol of the US and they're called in english the "bald eagles". The ornithological stuff, I know. But it's sucks. They are called in Russian - "White-headed orlan". It means almost like "white-headed eagle", because in Russian word "eagle" = "orel", and "orel" is very close in sound to "orlan". Sorry about that features of Russian pronunciation)) So even I like bald eagles very much and he fit in the scene, but... I had never painted white birds, and since I always try to practice something new on every miniature, I decided to try white with crimson) It was VERY hard, white is the devils color you know? xD And in the end the eagle looks more like a parrot, and not quite fit, but I'm pleased)) This is the little diorama and I like it, I hope you also enjoy!) P.S. Sorry for my bad english, I know there is a lot of mistakes)

Popular Post Stark
@Butch Thanks)) Okay, I'll post it in the second friday, because at this I have a Nino to show) At this moment I'm finishing the very large, very urgent and very nice project - a birthday present for my closest friend) Here is the little preview)
Stark
Hi people! I know most of you are currently on the other side, but here in Malifaux - it's friday! And I want to show you the young Cardinal Nino from my Ortegas crew. His base is REALLY huge and uncomfortable to play, but I almost never take him to the games, so he is doing what he is meant to - standing on the diorama) Enjoy
