Popular Post Stark Posted December 11, 2015 Popular Post Report Posted December 11, 2015 Hi folks! Approximately two months ago I was invited to Moscow Novice Legue of Malifaux. That was the second time when I faced the Malifaux. First time was eeehhh... 3 years ago, I guess. And then I was thinking: "What the awesome rules, let's look at the modeEEEEEEBLUAARGH!!". Nothing remember after that. Imagine how surprised I was when I saw absolutely delicious, gorgeous and awesome models at this time? Add to it the fresh new game mechanics and very interesting background - soo I couldn't fall for Malifaux c: Difficultys began with the choice of faction. I didn't know much about world of the Breach (honestly say I just finished reading the Core Rulebook), so my choice was based on view of models. Who can guess what models I liked best?)) Thats right! The Death Marshals! Seriously, what could be cooler than the sheriffs with burning skulls riding on coffins?? I think not many things xD And then when I came to the course of affairs, I realized that the Guild I like most. For their motives and the strict state-bureaucratic apparatus)) So let me introduce my Death Marshals. It was my first expirience with light effects and I almost satisfied, what I can't say about photo. Occasionally I will update this topic and will show the new members of the crew) 22 Quote
Viruk Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 You have a very interesting painting style, I really like the effects. Definitely hope to see more from you in the future. 1 Quote
Vinncent Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 Nice style, I really like how you painted the cloaks. Congratz!, and big from me. 1 Quote
Popular Post Stark Posted February 1, 2016 Author Popular Post Report Posted February 1, 2016 Hi wyrdos!) I brought you The Judge and a little story about him) The judge is well-known in Malifaux as the right hand of the Lady J. People know him as equitable, but harsh and skilled warrior, mentor of Death Marshals and ruthless fighter against the undead. But few know that before he went through the Breach - the Judge was one of the first London punks. Even now, the Judge puts on the old red pants on the most dangerous missions (so God forbid he not buried not in them). But seriously, I don't like this model. Its too simple, too boring, no small and delicious details, ant this stupid pose... /_- So I decided to add dynamics to the composition through eehm... "jumping from stone". For this purpose I changed the position of the foot and resculpted right wrist. I also tried to sculpt the ... "Bang-Bang effects" from the gun-in-blade. I have no sculpting experience and will be grateful for advices) After all I'm almost pleased with result. Only exception is OSL effect of the firing. Never painted smth like that before. And it was really hard to catch all the dynamics of the composition. Oh, and while I'm painted, my friends show me the VERY popular video (in .RU Internet). Its really plague for brains but its very haunting song (I didn't find the eng-subtitles) =___= So thats why my Judge "wearing Louboutin and the f*cking awesome pants". Sorry, this is peculiar joke) P.S. Wednesday I'll show your custom deck, which did not have time for the competition 14 Quote
Popular Post Stark Posted February 3, 2016 Author Popular Post Report Posted February 3, 2016 Yay! I just take my fresh Fate deck from print)) I absolutely love these cards! It was painted by amazing painter EllirhShaan! I have no words to say how I like this deck)) Unfortunately, we did not have time for the competition of Fate Decks, but I hope you will enjoy it as well as me)) P.S. I know, I know - my photo sucks. 10 Quote
Popular Post Stark Posted February 7, 2016 Author Popular Post Report Posted February 7, 2016 Sooo, since no one gives advices, I finished the last model from my The Guid's Judgement box. I didn't show you the Scales of Justice, because it was commissioned by Ringil and I'll show it later with general photos of the crew. Lady Justice was very interesting to paint, thanks for delicious details that I like. But it was also difficult painting, because LJ is so tiny in front of the other members of her crew. And her hair... Oooooh that hair. Two words: RED and toowellsculpted xD Also I had a thought to create an action-sciene on the base, where LJ shredded two zombies (from the new Zombicide BP, they are perfect scale), but my friends said it was too much. Its true - visual overload. So I made a simple base. I hope your enjoy c: 15 Quote
sigmar3 Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Really great work. I can't give you any advice because you are already near the top of the pile when it comes to talent! 1 Quote
sigmar3 Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Love the colours reflected in the swords a lot by the way. Excellent 1 Quote
Stark Posted February 7, 2016 Author Report Posted February 7, 2016 sigmar3, Thank you, it's highly pleased to hear, but you're too kind) I have a lot of "bugs" here... Really. With OSL, with bases, with properly allocate highlights everywhere... By the way exactly with the sword of Judge a lot of questions, because I am not good with doing reflects and highlights in the right places, and not pleased with reflects) But Wyrd miniatures are so awesome, so I want to try my best on every model and each new model teaches me something new)) Quote
Popular Post Stark Posted March 2, 2016 Author Popular Post Report Posted March 2, 2016 Hey wyrdos! I just finished the Lone Marshal. Here I first time try to sculpt flame to replace horses tail and mane aaand it has turned out badly and sloppily, but I got experience and it's good)) And I will upload some WIP photos with separate horse and rider. So I hope you will like it) Spoiler 19 Quote
RustAndTheCity Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Very cool I like the light effects on the chest of the rider. 1 Quote
Jeramie Privett Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 what material did you use for your bases? Quote

Popular Post Stark Posted March 27, 2016 Author Popular Post Report Posted March 27, 2016 So, I've just finished my work for the Iron Painter Entrance. Theme was "pretty pink", so you could ask me: "Peacekeeper - the most deadly creature of the Guild? Seriously?" and I'll tell you short prehistory. In the service of the Guild are many terrific servants whose main objective is to enforce the laws of Guild. And without a doubt Peacekeeper - is the most monstrous of them. This enormous expensive mobile bastion has thick armor, four deadly hands and is lead on the battlefield by power of dozens soulstones. It's unstoppable, knows no fear and strikes it in the hearts of enemies. Production aimed at maximum efficiency and is not intended to decorate these deadly machines, but there are always exceptions. Governor-General has three personal Peacekeepers, which act as bodyguards while he has a trip to the dangerous area. And for his unrivaled vanity these constructs were decorated by the best and most talented blacksmiths and jewelers, which were specially brought from the Earth. So its' value is far beyond the imagination. But there was a glimpse or a legend about the fourth Peacekeeper. The Governor-General had a daughter. Or so he believed. And for the safety of his little girl he ordered to make a very special bodyguard with very special protocol that modulate consciousness and appropriately decorated. Very few saw that creature but no one - the daughter of Governor-General... It was a huge challenge for me, because it's my first time participating at the painters contest and in such a short time. Also I've never used so much freehands, so it also was interesting. It took me 36 hours of pure working time and it was my record - in such a short time to do something this large. Thanks Wyrd for that opportunity to upgrade my skills)) At first I wanted to create a large base with chary blossoms but realized that I don't have time for this. The main idea of this composition was the question in which the subject can be both a bird and a peacekeeper) About the bird - on the second photo it's terrible, I tried very hard to depict it realistic, but it blinked like a piece of ... pink. pink of course) I hope you will enjoy this model like I did while I painted it)) P.S. GG on the top - is "Governor-General" 16 Quote
Franchute Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 I love your peacekeeper. I hope he has love to give to the rest of the world too 1 Quote
Popular Post Stark Posted April 1, 2016 Author Popular Post Report Posted April 1, 2016 Finally I was made the general picture of my The Guild's gudgement crew c: A little bit later I'll post the new and good photos of the Judge, Lady J. and the Scales. Also that Scales was painted by amazing painter @Ringil 15 Quote

I probably would have just given up and cried when it came to transporting them. 1 Quote

daniello_s Posted April 9, 2016 Report Posted April 9, 2016 Looking here... Looking at my stuff... Looking here again... Damn, I hate my models... Great job, man! And that thumb... 3 Quote
Stark Posted April 11, 2016 Author Report Posted April 11, 2016 @lusciousmccabe @daniello_s Thanx dudes Yeah, that thumb xD Also, folks, I need your frendly help and advice. The next roject on my list after the Starer 2Ed is Ortega family. I want it like the Spanish Inquisition - they are born for it (especially alt Francisco - his natural Cardinal) and I know how to stylize all of them, besides Perdita. I think about it over the last two weeks and totally no idea(( I have both of Perditas models. So thats why I'm asking for your help)) By the way, I noticed that alt Perdita is out of scale and don't match the crew. She has tiny-tiny peacebringers, boobs and.. whatever. And it look really bad compared to others 2 Quote
