izikial
Hello greenies, I'm planning some gremlin purchases, and I'm just getting a little concerned with wp. It seems low accros the faction (which makes some send), I'm just wondering how you combat heavy wp attacks, jack daw, Pandora, some Seamus. ratlingraider
If I sense a WP attacking force coming, I usually throw in Liquid Bravery.
wizuriel
Old Cranky is also pretty helpful
Vorschlag
Liquid bravery + Skeeter'sOrMcTavish + swampfiends (cover vs everything but melee).OrBeat them at their own game with brew master and moon shinobi...(note I haven't actually tested this). Clement
Also some gremlins (Burt and Francois off the top of my head) have actually really good WP stats.
Dogmantra
Pigapult and Zoraida both have a staggering 10 Wp, but one is expensive and can be unwieldy and the other's a master so you can't stack her. Also, Moon Shinobis/Som'er/Ophelia all have push Wp triggers, with the first two being after resolving, so you can get a lot of extra movement out of Wp attacks. To add to the list of really good wp stats that aren't 10s: Wong has 7Wp, the same as Burt and Francois. And Lenny can be good vs Wp, only if you're against condition-heavy enemies or lots of horror duels (without Pandora around). Obviously damaging Wp attacks are gonna take him down quickly.
Math Mathonwy
Pandora, btw, is completely shut down by Merris and Pandora herself can't do anything to her. It's quite funny.
PraetorDragoon
's aren't 's, as my Freikorps friend learned the hard way.
Math Mathonwy
's aren't 's, as my Freikorps friend learned the hard way.In case this is in reference to me suggesting Merris, she protects from both (unlike Freikorps Armor). She also lacks a damage track for her attack so can't hurt herself.

Though it is true that she cannot be attacked by Pandora.

I even checked the card since I have it with me but still read it wrong. Sheesh!
zFiend
No wonder your Gremlins are so tough.
Math Mathonwy
No wonder your Gremlins are so tough. Not to mention my Mei Feng! (OK, that misreading was maybe actually a cuddle to her but still).Luckily this Merris thing didn't affect the Pandora game much as I "realized" Merris' power against Pandora so late in the game.*sigh*

I keep forgetting stuff like Big Target, A Legend to live up to, etc. Maybe this is why our games don't quite work, I debuff my models on my own, while you buff yours?
izikial
ok thanks guys, my main opposition loves sceary stuff so I have to protect against wp stuff alot.the most consistent feedback there seems to be burt and Francisco with a little liquid bravery on some people.ok, not sure if grems are for me, but I have most other stuff
Dogmantra
If it's primarily horror duels, models with Bayou Two Card are great. It's essentially just a to simple duels, which can help to counteract lower Wp.
izikial
well that's genius, I didn't think of that, hum, swaying me back to the swampy fools

Dogmantra
eh, I ain't cheating a bayou gremlin's horror duel unless I really desperately need to distract or something, it works out as a in that case
Mean Green Killing Machine
Merris against Pandora? But to me she uses fears given form, which is neither a pulse or an aura, isn't it? Although, horror duels are the same, so what does Merris besides countering the sorrow/pandora extra wound due to lost wp duels?
