D_acolyte
So this is not really just about killing Izamu, but rather any enemy with armor 2 or better. I normally play acranists which have a lot of anti armor in there collection, from ignoring it to just not caring. How do the 10 Thunders kill models with armor 2? ArcticPangolin
McCabe's Glowing Sabre is dead handy for all sorts (including armour), and can be given to any model in the crew; Archers, Luna, Guild Hounds, Pathfinders, Wastrels, Riflemen, Izamu, just whoever happens to be in range to administer some Critical Striking, 1" glowing justice. scarlett fever
Glowing Sabre defintely. Otherwise I like taking both Swordsman and Samurai(melee).
dgraz
10T is pretty broad. What master are we discussing? My answer would be different based on that
Bloodrush
High doses of burning, or poison from range can whittle him down over time and try to eliminate any of their healers. He's slow so try and shoot him up a bit with some conditions before he reaches the front lines
Cunning
Samurai, Lone Swordsman or Bishop
MasterDisaster
Also... Never forget the Mercs are our disposal. Ronin can rip through him as they have the same Armour ignoring sword as the Samurai. Taelor and Johan can really put the hurt on something with their Relic Hammers. Bishop has a trigger called Penetrating Strike if memory serves which he can bake in via his Adaptive ability which ignores Armour, etc or take an Armour +2 beasty of your own! Lazarus can easily soften him up at range and the Strongarm Suit is a pretty good match for Izamu as well. However the previous 10T suggestions are the best way forward if you're not prepared to use Mercs. McCabe and his Sabre make anything with damage reducing / preventing abilities squirm big time! Especially as you never really know who will be carrying it. Samurai and Lone Swordsmen in melee are also solid options. Burning and Poison will help but don't rely on it. You can spend a butt load of AP stacking burning or poison only to have the condition removed which means you've just wasted loads of AP due to one or two condition removals. chris_havoc
Models with high Armour also tend to have lowish defense so weight of numbers can help a lot in this regard. Mei Feng is obviously good at that because she can chain attacks like crazy. The Foundry crew also has access to Hard Worker which allows them to discard a card to ignore Armour and Hard to Wound so as a whole Mei Feng and company deal very well with Armour. Bloodrush
Izamu isn't a construct so relic hammers wont get their buff though
MasterDisaster
Izamu isn't a construct so relic hammers wont get their buff though Doesn't really matter. They are always 3/4/6 Damage and Taelor's can Ignore Armour with the Crushing Blow Trigger. Even without the bonus against Tyrants and Constructs they are badass. As Chris_Havoc stated most High Armour models have low Df, Izamu for example is only Df 4. Relic Hammer users tend to be Ml 6 minimum with Taelor being 7. There's a damn good chance you can cheat in or SS the for Crushing Blow and still get a high card to cheat damage. Izamu doesn't like Moderate of 4 or Severe of 6 ignoring Armour

Math Mathonwy
Pine boxes work well.Good old Boxes made of Ten Thunder Pines, the finest there are! As for Izamu, you could always lock him down with Brewmaster. Or an Izamu of your own. Or kill him with Illuminated or with Lynch. Or a Stalky Misaki.
TehMik
Ugh. My bad. Didn't see this was in TT faction discussion. That'll learn me to post pre-coffee in the mornings. Sorry for the inadvertent trolling.

Sorry for the inadvertent trolling. No need to apologize! Guild McCabe is still technically a 10T Master as well and when he's rocking out the Sabre and Death Marshalls Izamu will be pooping in his undead armoured panties for 5 full turns!
zFiend
Pine boxes work well. Surely going down that route I would have been yelling Expunge at the very beginning of this thread.

MasterDisaster
Lynch - show him a hand then show him some aces and watch him cry. Nice! I missed that one. Hitting him with Final Debt then wasting him with a tonne of bullets also works quite nicely.

daemonkin
+1 for Hard Worker on Rail Workers - with their (0)Implacable Assault getting on attacks and damage and with 2/4/5 (I think) they are tough models. 1 brought down Howard with a charge. Inquisitor Wall
Lone swordsman is my favorite, since many models with high armor also tend to make good targets for the sunrise action.
D_acolyte
It sounds like other then hitting it multiple time with hard hitting attacks 10 thunders have only a few things that ignore armor. I can not wait for the Lone Swordsman to come out.
