Next game up is seamus so exception from the rule I read that shockwave more as a pure heal which can have beneficial offensive capablilities anyway I think i can sell him for a high Bloodtoll, just vs Titania it's hard. She can displace the brawler with her trigger and then moderate 4 dmg (5 with trigger) you relatively easy once your hand runs dry. I won anyway so *shrug* It's just that Glory of Ridle seems super key for the Rest of the Crew, so you can Spam all the triggers you want most of the time. If i would play against Anya, Sovereign would be prime target. I guess he can survive in a brawl if you put him next to the Brawler or Emissary. It's like with all Models of that kidney, they are going to die, the question is how high will be the pricetag on it for your opponent to take them down The thing is, my one game with Anya was vs Fae Wedge Deployment which was a round 1 All Out Fight until round 4, so not supertactical if i have anything to say Sovereign and Anya are going to fly over some building and murder their backline anyway

Yeah okay with a bodyguard the bird may live, but otherwise i don't see him past round 3, anything with severe 5/6 can crack him open with one Focus. Yeah sorry i am with them on the whole theme, i nearly never lose a samurai in any game Your wandering River Monks are Stat 7 DF with Chi Token have Stealth and Butterfly Jump, they are super hard to put down. if you eat severe DMG thats bad luck but if you hide them properly, you opponent shouldn't get to them easily. Maybe you should use MORE TERRAIN, if you do 40% of the map as suggested there are so many places to hide a ht 2 30mm Model. You are describing your matches as follows: Your opponent always has initiative, always gets his attacks in first. Your opponent alway hits. always has cheatable flips, always has Rams as a trigger and always can cheat in Severe to kill all your Models End of Round 2. That never happens to me, so i guess you are much more unlucky than i am, or we are bending the truth at this point to some degree Good luck nevertheless!

Okay several things, I wouldn't do Silent Protector on Charm Warder only for the hard to kill, he isn't tanky enough ---> put on Samurai, LJ can't put a samurai down if he has hard to kill and you heal him up proper. Put the Low River Monk next to him I would not take 2 Low River Monks, because they are 1 hit and you do not need 2 of them, they don't get you points (TBH i often play without them) I am not sure why you would take Desper laRaux in this keyword, you get two wandering river monks instead. You could actually take a third wandering river monk, he then can't really stop you from scoring with that mobility. anyway, if you lose again, LJ is stupid, take the moral victory

I still feel like you should not lose every game, like any symbols of authority should be yours by right. what lineup do you usually bring? as far as my experience goes, as thunders player i would take Yan Lo for the fight intensive Missions and ShenLong or McCabe for more Scheme Marker Heavy pools and just don't really engage her Jacob Lynch is depended on how smart your opponent is, you can take a samurai with silent protector and if lady justice gets into your bubble she dies pretty much everytime. Sadly since the nerf of trained ninja you are pretty prone to getting shot in the face with lynch, and her wp 7 can deny you some dmg. Misaki is extremely horrible against LJ because Jury and Death Marshal recruiter will destroy you. And Misaki staying on the table the whole time is no fun at all. i have no idea how Youko or Asami will work, guess asami might do well in ley lines, but i don't play those, as well as mei feng, not sure if she's a match for justice ( i guess not)

  9. Spread your Backline out or go heavy on versatiles, like samurai, fuhatsu, and if you attack her try to get as much irreducible dmg from shen as you can. Those Lady Justice Players rely heavily on soulstones to keep her alife. Give Shenlong distracted +3 or higher (via the aspiring students) and than give Lady J distracted with shens tactical, she can't do anything about it on herself, so she will either do nothing that turn or burn 3 Stones, which she cannot afford to. If you use concentrate, give yourself chi tokens to beef your defense to 7, so you can at least block 1 of her attacks by cheating in a 13 , 2 if you are lucky, also if you concentrate for focus she can take it all away. Take 2 Wandering Rivermonks with trained ninja and get all the points, she can't effectively hunt them both down. It gets shitty if your opponent takes the Pale Rider and the lone Marshal, because that firepower shreds your crew soooo fast. Not the best Matchup for Shen i think
  10. I feel like giving out injured +2 and than giving Focus +2 to fuhatsu is nothing the thunders really needed imho but i'll take it. I feel she's kinda like hoffmann but to be honest not nearly as good. Mei seems to be a Style Master after all. Until the end Phase, poison and burning happens during the end phase, so no protection there I am pretty sure it's one of those masters where i can't see how it works til someone kicks my butt with it on the table though

  12. That gwisin looks really good, but i don't know if i would play it in Keyword. My Hiring Pool ist already quite full with models i cannot summon, and when i summon i think Drowned or Shikome give more value if i am maxed out on Goryos already I don't see them as a an antischemer too, because they are too slow and have no other uses when they are in the backfield. Imho, they are pure tanks, if you can establish them as a front line with your goryos and Ikiryo to soak up Hits and give back 2dmg. Although i feel that this is super card intensive. Kirai herself doesn't need them per se because she has got protected already. ---> its another thing with her title Card, there this could be insanely important to protect Kirai+with into mist and a seishin nearby it will be unbelievable hard to take down for 6SS. I think it will be stapled to the Title card build, also because kirai loses protected there and works best if she forces as many duels as possible, so she is not as card dependend as her summoner alter ego. The Chained Spirit ... i love chain gang, but i think seishin are overall a better hire for their cost with the healing aura in addition for moving stuff around. I think Spirits will be the go to model for Join us summons because: The Aura. As Maniacle mentioned, you want to focus versus incorporeal and vengeance so guess what you wasted your ap on last round? Now those are revealed i am getting more hyped about Kirais Title. I think a 3 SS Versatile non insignificant model with incorporeal is also good to just drop that one important scheme marker, although i think ressers are swamped with good models, they can't appreciate it properly

True but giving out injured 2 to something can seal the deal on hat models fate... worth taking 1 damage imho i don't know , the comparison only ever comes up if playing Parker Barrows, apart from that we don't get to choose between them. i found that the smugglers fill a completely different role, because you can actually get up the board with them to scheme and take those tasty scheme markers with you to either appraise or have them eaten by maddog to go fast. (or worst case: score research or detonate or else) Prospectors are more for sittin back in the deployment zone and laying eggs. Either one will die if your opponent wants them to

She seems to demand to be stuck in but needs the brawler to not die instantly. Does anyone take the Riflemen over Operatives? And... has anyone ever see Sovereign make it to Round 4?

I can't decide which Bayou versatiles are worth their salt and don't want to give crappy advice, because i myself do not play bayou, so if some of you could get me up to speed on the subject? Cheers

As i have played this matchup a couple of times: they really needed antiarmor, it was super embarassing that vs hoffmann you could merely rund around and win through movement heavy Schemes (and he could still beat you to it) Now that i have taken a look at the Card, Kenshiro is kind of broken for only 7 Stones. Fleet of foot is such a match-deciding skill in both crews. I mean you can trade 1 Yan Lo AP for a 10!! inch Movement for anything else in Round 5. You can sneak in some many schemes that way
  20. Still, Malifaux is the game into which i could introduce the most persons, mainly because of the diversity and complexity. It's that everybody can find something they like in the World of Malifaux and because the fluff is very good in my opinion. On a gaming level, the two of us who played tabletop for a longer time had to hardcore limit ourselves in crew selection and list composition to keep it engaging and still kinda fun for the other players. So in that regard, Malifaux is well over the too much Information threshhold to begin with (which i personally love because it gives me information to tackle). Question i ask is: what would be the other option at this point for a miniature Company ? a) bringing out the next edition to sell everything all over again - i personally would like to stay here longer b) Letting everything come to a standstill, so everyone has two years to catch up on the rules. Got to be honest, i don't know any players who would be happy with a tabletop game that did that c) releasing more models for the existing masters.... which would blow up the game and complexity at the other end of the scale. I think bringing up the number of master versions is brilliant, because it changes the key feature around which everything else revolves. It will just mean, that when i go to a tournament, i will have to read up some things on the spot because i can't memorize everything anymore. Which more or less fits in with the crisis management / response way you have to build your crew anyway. But then, i see my games and Tournaments as a learning experience i don't really crave the Podium
  21. Yeah... if causality was so simple there would be no necessity for rules anyway. It still feels kinda vexing when i kill someone with Jakuuna by using the Mask Trigger on my Melee Attack, movin the enemy model through my hazardous aura...and don't get the credit
  22. Sure it's super objective i feel the one on the bottom right looks like you shoved someone twice the assumed age into the Goth-Fighter Outfit and then shot her with the Makeup Cannon. And while, and i emphasize this, this is perfectly allright, it just does not match the mental picture i had when reading all those fluff Stories in the various books. I Must add that the M3E Viks weren't super spot on for me either. Concerning the new Model, maybe i'll just wait for the sculpt and see if the faces can be tailored over with a brush. I am not really sure i want to cut them from their base given the method of attachment. I hate to ruin my own Paintjobs, mediocre as they may be
  23. I guess i can make Pictures of the finished Base. I attached them to their bases with milliput, so i have to do something which attaches the original bases to a 50mm Base. Should be fun though
  24. Reads to be like they can engage one round and next round go where it really hurts with diving charge. But i am going to miss the 10 Attacks stat 7 vs DF double activation I am not so hyped about the artwork on the card right now, they look a bit on the granny sidešŸ¤. I am already measuring stuff to make a Magnetized 50mm Base for the old models.
