  1. Other than the turn they are summoned, summons can do every part of leylines. They just can't interact with strategy markers. Strategy markers aren't interacted with in leylines - you interact with the token.
  2. Quick reflexes just requires you to target a different model (not 'one that you haven't targeted before'). When it is declared and when it resolves, you're currently targeting model B (the take the hit model), so I would think you can go back to hitting model A (the original target)?
  3. The VWS (unofficial) has ruled that it only applies to the second part (aka, movement to base contact doesn't count). I don't think this makes any sense, but it is how it was ruled in the series. I think you can argue it either way, and there is no official ruling.
  4. Wondering about this more, any idea what sort of list you'd take or what sorts of schemes you'd go after? I know Ikiryo/lost love can be a potent hidden martyrs combo, although often I just ignore Ikiryo if facing that combo.
  5. My (uninformed) impression of Guild is it is a reactive faction overall. It tends to concentrate more on shutting down enemy plans than delivering its own plan, as often its own plan can be quite weak at scoring points (like on symbols)?
  6. That's a fair point! The templating is super weird, but what isn't? xD
  7. Placing the marker doesn't count for these purposes anyway (even dropping a hazardous marker on enemies doesn't ping hazardous). The issue is if you take an action where any part of that action you are in base contact with hazardous terrain, you take the hazardous.
  8. I've just started playing Neverborn Chimera in a grow league, and have a few thoughts to add. Myranda is at a fraction of her strength if you don't have Bandersnatch and/or Rougarou to transform into. Her ability to just suddenly burst things for 8-9 damage is just insane, but she needs those forms to do it. I'm not sure you'd ever hire a Rougarou over a Cerberus, but people swear by hiring Bandy and Adze. Overall I think Neverborn Marcus really leans into the extra beasts, so to some degree if a player wants to play budget Marcus they should consider just grabbing the core box + Cerberus box and playing Arcanists until their collection grows. EDIT: or you can be like me and plan to convert some models for Myranda to transform into xD Feels silly to buy a whole box so Myranda can spend 1/5 of a game as one of the models in the box. Or Gadzooks may have them.
  9. One thing worth mentioning about Rougarou is the 2/4/6 damage track with three different ways to have the damage flip cheat able (rams, focus, or mask). And can even cheat against double negatives! It can be a bit card hungry, but I'm loving it with Chimera at least. Not always relevant, but the ability to go "right, you take 6 now" is hilarious.
  10. For reference, this is the 'starter' list I want to try.
  11. Sorry if I missed it, but I haven't seen much discussion on how easy it is to hit for 6 (+1 with IR in this crew)? Cojo can easily hit for six by getting two positives to the damage flip (focus, charge through, puncture from card or discard an upgrade). Or can burst for 12-14 in the godlike scenario, even against henchmen or hard to wound. Myranda can shapeshift into a Rougarou as soon as you see a high mask or ram in your hand and do a similar trick. The potential to just burst for 7 damage in multiple ways just screams "respect my crew's damage potential or die." Does anyone abuse this? With the huge card draw in the crew it seems like something that can be abused?
  12. Von Schtook also seems stupidly good in this pool/map. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and learn him 😜
  13. Another bonus for Molly/Yan Lo is that the Eternal Servitude box is fourth on my list of boxes that I suggest buying for Molly. So some good model overlap. The others are Molly's Core Box, The Lost (Archie & Crooligans), and the Dead Rider.
  14. Strategically, you get a few heals: Incidental healing - catalyst and a few other options. This just tops you off a bit. Burst healing - nurses and blood poisoning. These tend to be your option when you need healing NOW or the model will die. These can help ensure you live til end of turn. End of turn - poison ticks at the end of the turn, so you want as many models as possible to stay alive. With 2-4 healing per damaged model, you can heal an insane amount if you can keep your models alive at the end of the turn. So a lot of McMourning is managing the different heal timings and making sure each model lives until its next heal.
  15. Awesome Such a cool crew!
  16. Wow, I did not realise Scorpius is stat 7. Throw in that armor 2, and seems like a suped up Necrotic Machine xD Definitely have to try this! The inhuman reflexes on Initiate over Myranda wouldn't have occured to me either. So I'm keen on trying your tech!
  17. Well, Ressers are taking a bit of a beating this round. I don't think we've had any other wins yet this round, although we still have Pergli and one other person to go. But I'm starting to think about Round 2, so here's what we're looking at: Map Floodlands Wedge: Symbols of Authority Hidden Martyrs Detonate charges Breakthrough Vendetta Spread them out This map has a huge amount of severe terrain. And while you can work around it, generally it is a LOT easier to play this map with stuff that ignores the terrain. Leap is pretty good, but there's plenty of awkward spots for leaping. Flight and unimpeded are absolutely golden. Dead Rider, Student of Viscera, and Yin all seem very good on this map. So naturally, for me, it is a Molly pool 😜 It is a very scheme-marker heavy pool, and these are two of the kill-y schemes that Molly loves to see. I would also be pretty comfortable taking Reva into this pool, I think. Seamus also seems okay, but it'd be quite easy to keep the symbols in really difficult to reach places. But Seamus with the Dead Rider/Yin combo probably could pull it off? Experimental would just cry about all the severe terrain. Big bases with no unimpeded. So don't think this is a pool for Experimental. Would love to hear other people's thoughts!
  18. It should be noted Dreamer has crossover with Pandora (Teddy and Carver, although I think most people don't like Teddy in the crew even though it can fit into it). Nekima's Black Blood Shamans are probably one of the most common out-of-keyword hires, so you do get a bit of crossover with Nekima. But yeah, both those crews do tend to be pretty keyword focused without as much to share around the faction. Personally I think that's one of the draws of the faction. Every new crew you get will feel super unique. In Ressers I often feel like I take the best models in the faction into many crews xD
  19. So my game plan was: Kill his small stuff. Get near the silurid, hit it once with archie, use a crooligan to finish it off. Get halfway up the board turn 1, then kill the Bokor early turn 2. Drain/steal his stones so Francois and First Mate can be dealt with. Then just tie him up as he has nothing left to score with. Part 1 resulted in Archie and Manos getting too far up the board. Archie got single-activationed by Francois turn 1. But a few black jokers against him and a few red jokers for me put me back in the fight. So I proceeded with the plan (used a Necrotic Machine to get close to the silurid so a crooligan could teleport and finish off its last three health). Yin killed Earl pretty easily. And various models got the Iron Skeeter low, then it eventually died to poison, so it couldn't scheme after that either. At that point all he had left to move markers was First Mate and Francois. Bokor drew a billion cards, and then I just activated Molly after the Bokor whenever I could, so he was powering up my card draw as well. Although he had just some awful luck with his draws (although I think I had two turns where my highest card in the initial 6 was a 10). Manos kept just running away from danger to regen, and thanks to those two black jokers he just barely failed to kill Manos each time. Needless to say, my two stones were not enough to protect him and I had expected to drain more stones turn 2, but Francois used up all but one stone by then. So some lucky breaks coupled with capitalising on those lucky breaks handed me the win. 5-2 to me, although feels a bit of a hollow victory since it was one of those rare games where the jokers just completely saved me at every turn. Interestingly neither of us managed to red joker a damage flip the entire game either, but there were a lot of black jokers xD
  20. I guess it should be noted that summoners can be hard to start with because you need so many boxes. Molly can be viable with two core boxes, and I think Nekima technically can run a crew with just core xD but you'd want at least two boxes I imagine.
  21. Five boxes I think: Core, stitched & daydreams, insidious madness + Serena bowman, widow weaver + bandersnatch, Teddy I reckon. At least, that's how I ran the crew.
