    So the Jury can add masks. Santiago can get extra attacks from mask triggers. What I was wondering, is whether these new attacks counts as ‘new activations’ or whether they just expand upon the initial attack, so to speak. In particular If Santiago declares focus, then shoots and adds a mask, would he then be able to use the bonus from focus on the triggered attack?

    Get the app - and some models that makes you want to paint. And know, that you’re way more competitive, if you play a suboptimum crew, than if you run on training wheels.

    Thanks. The leathers do look really great IRL I haven’t really timed the painting, but I’ve been mostly batch painting doing leathers one day, and metals the other - but on average, I’d guess a couple of hours per mini. When it comes to looks, then I think, what is most important is getting the contrasts right, and in minis that means exaggerating the shadows and highlights, to really draw out those Tine shapes, when they’re seen at arms length. The gradients do however allow you continue marveling, once you pick up the model for a closer look

    Thanks, although blowing them up in this size really brings out my sloppy painting and impatient technique Hopefully with the next batch of models, I can improve and bring out some smooth gradients. I’m waiting for : Lady Justice Death Marshall Recruiters The Jury Executioners The Lone Ranger Brutal Effigy Guild Hounds - for these, I think, I’ll work a little more on painting the base for the water fx, and get the models done before slapping them on.

    So I’ve just started this wonderful game - and now I’m finally ready for my first fight. I’ve gone with the Ortegas and tried playing around with still water fix for a swampy theme.

    For a Wishlist; it could be amazing, if you could make it native for tablets too and take advantage of the bigger screens

    The lone Marshall doesn’t seem to be a popular model, how come?

    Best advice for starting out any model game is to find out which model you want to paint the most and then work from there. So a more relevant question to ask would be: "Which guild master made you choose the guild?". Then follow it up with: "How do I support that model the best?". And then keep your pokemonitis in check, when you put in the order. So you can just concentrate on getting enough models painted to start playing, and through that find out what mechanics and playstyle and models would actually suits you the best in the long run – it could easily turn out to be in a wholly different faction.

    As I'm working to expand my model collection – having absolutely no understanding of the game and just working under the assumption, that it'll be a hoot, once I get to play it – I was wondering, whether people have any general principles to work from, when making a list – e.g. what's your head count? do you max out on soul stones? how much upgrading do you do? Etc.? Etc.?

    Trouble is, there isn't a game definition of those words, and in plain english, they're basically synonyms. So until a point, where there is made a clear distinction, chances are, that saying otherwise will only label you as 'that guy', 'obnoxious git' and/or 'rules lawyer' in the eyes of other players. So there really is no point in being 'right', when all you gain from it is endless discussions, and opponents shying away from playing you. Of course, this can be all well and accepted in your local meta- but chances are, that when you go beyond it ( like a tournament or online ), this 'house rule' will only give you trouble and bad games.

    So I've gotten my Latigo posse, a peacebringer and some austringers, and are about to get them ready for the board. Any recommendations on where to go next adding to the collection?

    I'm looking at getting a box of raptors, possibly greenstuffing some robo-bitz on them. Thought they would go nicely with the austringers.

    So I finally placed the order. The latigo posse, peacekeeper and austringers, and a deck. Those were the stuff, I wanted to paint, the rest will need to get proxied until I find out, whether this game is the thing for me Another question: all those upgrade decks, etc. I guess, they're practical - but what are they really? And what would recommend to get - if any?

    Thanks guys, I better get myself a little time to wrap my head around the rules and understand the lingo, and then get some games under my belt. So I have a better understanding of whatever, you're talking about But the gist I get is, that in the list above, Papa loco is more of a gimmick, that is likely a waste, but can have a big payoff. That Abuela would be a good substitute, but what if I wait about getting her and use one of the other two guys in the starter set? From trawling the internet, I get the feel, that Santiago and Nino aren't as popular?

    And I guess, the extra synergy from getting the peacekeeper into the family helps with the movement tricks, that they can do? Or why?

    Sure, but it makes sense. The Ortegas are good at shooting, so austringers and pathfinder wouldn't bring much new to the game as opposed to a big bruiser, like the peacekeeper. And the hounds, I guess, are throwaway distractions, that I imagine can be a big nuisance. And if I understand the role of the effigy, then it is, like the nephilim, supposed to be a force multiplier. So a list could be something like this?: 50 SS Guild Crew Perdita Ortega + 7 Pool - Trick Shooting (2) Enslaved Nephilim (3) Francisco Ortega (8) - Wade In (1) Peacekeeper (11) Papa Loco (7) Brutal Effigy (4) Guild Hound (3) Guild Hound (3) Guild Hound (3) (exported from CrewFaux)
