You're effectively asking them to 'show your working'. I find that an incredibly entitled attitude. They don't have to explain why they make their balance adjustments, it's their game. You're not their teacher to sit there and say 'you're wrong, here's why'.

I was originally going with Commander, Gibbering Hordes. After the pledge manager opened, I upped to Dual Commander with Cult of the Burning Man. However, I realized there were few Cult things I liked, and those actually work well with Gibbering Hordes (ECB Black Ops and Doomseekers, both adding ranged attacks). Also a friend decided they wanted to buy in but late, so I simply swapped the Cult over to Abyssina for him. The last week or so hype has been hitting ridiculous levels, and I decided I wanted one of everything for Hordes. Also I wanted all of the UV treated cards. So I added it all, and he decided he wanted one of everything for Abyssina, and all of the UV treated cards. So since the kickstarter, my pledge has gone from single commander to dual commander with everything for Gibbering Hordes and Abyssina. Plus I added 2 more Egg Clutches since you only get 1 in the Commander pledge, and two Eels since they can replicate.

He does have a point though. Since it became official there’s been an attitude shift which hasn’t been overly pleasant.

It was used on Pandoras new Limited upgrade, Woe is Me. Lets her summon Woe out of faction. Right now that's just Field Reporters, but they're pretty great with her using that upgrade, easily spreading conditions to summon off. Also Seamus new upgrade Aka Sebastian Baker got an expanded Infiltration called My Lovelies that lets him hire 4 non-Totem, Living showgirls and makes them Undead. Honestly, if something makes it to an M3E I hope Mercenary availability is toned down a lot, dual faction goes the way of the Dodo and Infiltration is used to get out of faction models. But that's mostly because I really like in-theme lists.

There’s already a mechanic for this - Infiltration. Hire up to 4 models with keyword X. They just need to use the mechanic more.

One of my main points of issue is the short stories. Published in a PDF feels official. In a blog entry, no matter the source, will feel like fan fiction. Also easy to lose if the blog ever stops getting supported and the pages go offline.

Fun idea but the Nightmare box this year goes to the Gremlins.

Wyrd have never really let historical accuracy get in the way of their designs. After all, in Wyrds world Cyclops, a Greek myth, are Fae. Also Bultungin, South African Lycans, are Fae. Also, Oni are actually a type of Yokai. In Wyrds world, Yokai are a specific type of Oni. I wouldn't be surprised if Kimon ended up being a melting pot of Asian demons/monsters/etc in general.

Honestly I wouldn't be a fan of staggering game releases over years. Infinity really suffers from only one content drop every 2 years - it's hard to maintain a groups interest when there's a year with nothing new. Then if they push some releases forward to build hype, they reduce the new content in the book (like CB releasing the Druze army list before Uprising and USAriadna before Human Sphere) and need to do it again with the next book and it turns into a cycle of needing to drop the next books content before it's release to maintain hype.

Played Pandora at a tourney on the weekend and used Aeslin in my Woe if Me build. Wicked Silence hits particularly hard when there's a few Sorrows around, took people by surprise. If there's just 2 Misery auras nearby you're looking at 4 damage each time, and with Casting Expert that can easily hit 8 or 12 damage. No one bothered trying to kill her before she charged in. After she charged in they couldn't really retaliate with a dead model.

She was pretty easy to build once you figured out how the head that her feet attach to plugs into the ghost neck.

I'm not a blog reader either. Also, not meaning to be rude, but the 'same content but spread over 2 months' is the kind of promise heard so many times in this hobby, and rarely delivered. It's easy to accidentally miss a few blog entries, but a deadline keeps you honest. edit - i realize Chronicles is entirely free, and I greatly appreciate what's been done with it for that price tag. I'm just not a fan of blogs.

Well they also put a question mark over the spot that usually says M2E. No point doing that if Monday is only for Malifaux previews, kinda gives it away. Also TTB gets previews on Monday too. I’ll be thrilled if, not for Sandmen, it’s a preview for the Neverborn book.

Stick A Thousand Faces on it and run up a flank. It can destroy any usual flankers or circle around into the scrum to help out. Swap A Thousand Faces for Malifaux Provides if you need a health pack or Retribution’s Eye if you need to crack some armour. It’s handy to have a Lilitu around as well (though it’s handy to have a Lilitu anyway, so you’ll probably have it there already). She can drag it into position for a charge if need be. It’s got a surprising 10” reach off a charge that also ignores intervening terrain so it can catch people off guard if it hides then a Lilitu drags it out into charge position of an activated model.

I’ve never been disappointed in the Mature. A bit less survivable than Nekima, but his built in positive is nice, makes him more self sufficient than Nekima who can easily eat your hand. I think he needs his Wing Buffet changed to a (0) and could use a 1ss drop in cost but he’s by no means bad at what he does. Anything I’ve pointed him at has died, which is the point of the model.

I’m hoping for a Titan sized Chompy Commander but even then this guy could be a champion or adjunct. Or even just one model in a squad. Fits the ‘sandmen’ theme if it’s related to the Weaver who steals dreams.

Something for TOS. Sandmen are going to be the games first generic syndicate, and are Nightmare themed. This would make a perfect Commander, Champion or Adjunct.

Yeah, as I said, we've all seen that. But, I think Wyrd would know. They know that picture has been circulating (it's come up here a few times) and they're also making the game. They've got nothing to gain from lying about it. It could be a number of things. Maybe it was intended for Bayou Bash and they decided to use it for something else (maybe to keep the box cost down), maybe it was a sculpt they had lying around and thought it would fit in BB but decided otherwise and come up with something else, maybe it was just put in the cabinet with the rest because it looked cool with them. Whatever the reason, it's obviously not for Bayou Bash anymore, if it ever was.

Peaches is still a pig, as per the M2E rulebook.
