I dunno, Dan from Before We Begin says they're the best thing since sliced bread and so I hunted those puppies down and have been using them to great effect. I like them quite a bit. They have some good options. Any enemy interaction is great with them. Necropunks I like for breakthrough as they can heal up and get further away than a crooligan can. Puppies are great, but I usually flank with two and then send them into the fray after dropping one scheme marker. I like the crooligans for the cover they provide. Also for the mortimer 'fresh meat' target on round one.

Moving to leave LOS while Engaged
doctorlucky replied to Dante42's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
im going to continue to play it the way I mentioned until/if wyrd says something. Look at it - "Hi, I'm zoraida, don't mind me I'm just going to walk over here and lose your line of sight right around this wall. You can still reach me if there wasn't a big a** wall here right? Well there is and you can't see me so PEACE I'm out." That does not sit well with me. If my opponent walks out of line of sight, im getting that attack to stop them. -
Moving to leave LOS while Engaged
doctorlucky replied to Dante42's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
I'd say that is a disengaging strike. However if Juju moved to block LOS to Zoradia, there would not be a disengaging strike. -
Hey! We played 7 player enforcer brawl after our regular games. It took about 1.5 hours. KillJoy Howard Langston Teddy Rail Golem Nothing Beast Burt Jebson Baby Kade It was super fun with everyone freaking out as Baby Kade survived at one health for 3 rounds due to 3 people flipping black joker on damage against her and another failing to manipulative. Nothing Beast won with his discard of upgrade that stopped Killjoy's red joker damage and then his counter attack for every turn against anyone who attacked. Rail Golem did nothing for a few turns, just went defensive while gaining burning and tailoring his hand to be all 4 books +. Had four burning, used it all, attacked nothing beast, got a trigger for more burning from the defensive trigger on the counter attack from nothing beast, and kept going. I think he had like 7-8 ap in one go from it. Awesome. Really fun and would definitely do it again with a few beverages if we weren't at a gamestore.

It was really fun- I was constantly second guessing what I should do and how much damage I should put on something.

Yeah nice articles all around- always happy to see a new chronicles! Can't wait for NASM, I've yet to play a Wyrd Games game that I didn't like- be it board, card, or mini. A fantastic games company with really neat mechanics, themes, and unique IPs.

This is amazing. Will have to play with it! Edit: Just looked it over a lot more. I really like it. I think it would be helpful if there was a spot to put comments on the game. Something that pops up when clicked. Is that possible? I don't know a lot about excel.

Sorry to not be in the know, but who said it was a problem? I quite like it- some dynamic character to it. I've seen some 'fixes' that people have done that look good, but I like the original best. Looks great on the table without consuming a bunch of space that I have to navigate and pretend "this is where my punk zombie is but can't fit because your stupid wings are in the way" through to kill it.

Doctor Lucky was a better moniker than Carcassonne, Mr. Jack, Dominion, Power Grid, Tigris, Euphrates, Carson, Catan, etc.........I like boardgames....

Ginger hair looks real nice! Looking forward to the completion.

Wait wasn't this whole thread on being too sensitive to comments? Also my advice for people who want C&C- I've asked a couple painters for input privately and they've been super nice. People are super busy! I am elated when someone spends the time to comment on something I've done-- they took time to write something to help me out. Be careful how you word things though, because it is hard to ask the right questions if you use the wrong lingo. I was really worried that I was intruding by pm'ing a couple people on here and they responded with comments on areas to work on and some tips. They may have time to look at it, or they will reply a quick- "hey thanks for asking but I'm really busy" note.

"New" Mailfaux Podcast: Mistakes were Made
doctorlucky replied to EntrepeNinja's topic in News, Reviews, & Discussion
Liking your podcast so far! Congrats on 5! If anyone hasn't gotten a chance to listen, these guys are laid back conversationalists with a fun challenge and tons of bat reps. Give a listen! A suggestion from me- For your games discussions- maybe try to pinpoint where in the process you felt you made one mistake and how to rectify it for the future. You guys talk about it a little bit but I'd enjoy it if you delved into that a bit more. Crew selection vs certain factions, initial placement, poor scheme selection and why, etc.. Your podcast covers bat reps more than the other podcasts and I think you could expand that niche.- 6 replies

This game has me hooked! I am either playing, painting, reading, researching, playing vassal, reading forums, etc.. every day. I think a lot of people at least check into the forums or A Wyrd Place on facebook. It is a low barrier game that gives high reward to people playing it. The neat models and art, great variability, fantastic community, and awesome company make me love Malifaux.

You don't need a condition removal, it is an interact action to remove burning. And it would be all of it, because it removes the burning condition. It doesn't lower the condition by one, it removes the condition.
-
pg 33 large rule book: if the attacking model's duel total equals orexceeds the defending model's duel total and any TN associated with the action (which may include suits), then the attacker has won the duel..." So wp duel. If you win with at least a total 12 you succeed. If you win with anything less than a total 12, you fail, because you didn't reach the TN To be more clear, they are NOT separate flips.
-
If you know the rules, do yourself a favor and look up something anyway. You get burning on you- you remember all burning goes away at the end of the round and does damage to you. But maybe you forgot that a model within 2" can reduce the burning condition by one with a (1) interact action. Just reference the book as you play even if you think you know the rules for the first couple games. Get a sticky note on important bits.

Dreamer has coppelius as enforcer- his hench is LCB. Somer does not have a henchman in his box. lenny is enforcer

Oh- it's still pink Mako- they just decreased the saturation. They know how much you like to play with colors and tried it out themselves
