  1. Some people on Wyrd Place (the facebook group) got their books already. I remember reading a few posts of people who either got them or got their tracking number. I fail to get angry at Wyrd for most things because I have passing familiarity with small business and know how mind-bendingly hard it has to be to compete in such a niche market. There's a good amount of customers in the Minis industry who act very entitled and incredibly selfish and tend to start calling out a "doom spiral" asap when something doesn't work or look they way they want. Apologies for the knee-jerk snark.
  2. I totally agree that it's completely stupid to have a Wave 2 book with rules for the existing Wave 2 metal models without having all of the Wave 2 plastics out. I agree that I and everyone else shouldn't be able to use any of our Wave 2 models while Wyrd has production issues. The obvious choice is to not play the game at all then play with, gasp, old models. Geez, Wyrd, stop being such a small business! /sarcasm + hyperbole Through the Breach shipped out 1-2 weeks ago for KS backers (with bonus models due to the delay), though I'm not sure ALL the orders were done. I think the ones with Hannah didn't go out yet -- maybe. Denying everyone else the ability to buy TtB because some orders -- that had non-book-related extras -- didn't ship out would be financial negligence on Wyrd's part considering how big a market Gencon is for them. Patience. Models will be released. I've heard their business relies on it or something to that effect.
  3. You copied the second sentence perfectly, but why not the first one?
  4. 24 and below = Henchman 25 to 40 = Henchman or Master 41+ = Master EDIT: After playing my first 50SS game recently, the higher stones you go, the more balanced the game is. You just have a ton of choices and a much better chance of surviving losing specific pieces. It really opens everything up and also dampens the power of strong small game abilities.
  5. Immediately is not a requirement for a trigger to give you another Action inside an Action. Any of the "after" triggers will work fine. For instance: (Ram) Who Wants Some?: After damaging, this model may lower its Adrenaline Condition by 2 to push up to 2" and then take a (1) Ml Action. This works perfectly fine if it is triggered during a charge. You'd do Declare Charge Move Make first Attack Deal damage and effects of Attack and finish Step 5 of Attack 1 Hit Trigger Make Trigger Attack Resolve Trigger Attack First Attack finishes resolving now that the Trigger attack is done Second attack etc Charge Resolves To address the original question, unless a rule allowed you to take Actions while another Action is resolving, you cannot take any Actions during other Actions. So No, Charging (and other Multi-Action-generating Actions) doesn't resolve until both attacks are made. You cannot take a (0) between Charge attacks, nor can you take a (0) after declaring the Charge at all until it finishes completely.
  6. Changes are the top hat to googles (bad move here and I hope there's a top hat on the sprue), reduced the cleavage, stopped showing her underwear, and swapped the tiny jacket with straps. She's still wearing a corset, you can still see hints of her thigh high boots / stockings, and she still has minor frills at the end of her dress as a callback to the above picture. The more players you get, the larger portion exists that doesn't want fan service. This is a move to make the model acceptable to more people, just like how the new Zoraida isn't letting her assets flap all around. She looks like a professional now (1900s-era magicians dressed in formal suits), but they could've done a little bit better showing her actual job through the plastic. Her new fluff (you can read it in the picture) doesn't mention her doing burlesque at all, just sleight of hand magic (that's real magic, of course). EDIT: Her gloves changed to cuffs too.
  7. Ironsides is a player character from one of the first Through the Breach sessions. Her look was entirely made by that player.
  8. They went with a more professional magician look this time instead of the 1920s magician aesthetic. I don't really have an issue with it myself, but then again, I actually like the Rooster Rider's rooster and McTavish's gator.
  9. Has anyone considered that her fluff and subsequently the fluff for the Showgirls may have changed a bit since her 1E model?
  10. As Bengt said above, you would have to test 3 times for the Horror Duel since you didn't pass it in the first place. I did completely miss that part. The RN swing is Once Per Turn though, correct? Drinking Contest doesn't care whether you passed it once already or not, so doesn't really apply here.
  11. Dawn Serpent is fantastic with McCabe and Mei Feng, Shenlong too. There are better options for 10SS in a Misaki crew.
  12. Lenny never becomes Paralyzed though, as Paralyzed is a Condition and Lenny is immune to all Conditions. He acts normally after failing any Horror Duel, but will hit triggers that require the failure of a Wp or Horror duel. Edit: To make it clear, Lenny cannot gain ANY Conditions, ever. This includes Focus, Defensive, Cursed Object, Distract, Poison, Burning, Slow, Fast, Paralyzed, etc.
  13. Correct. You pick which Attack to use your Focus on, if you want to use your Focus. That's how Focus works across all Actions that generate multiple Actions (like Flurry, Rapid Fire, etc). It's in the FAQ/Errata. If you want logic for that, the Charge Action (as does Flurry, Rapid Fire) itself does not make any flips, so Focus wouldn't apply. Charge instead generates two Attack Actions that make flips instead, each of which you can choose to stone / end Focus for independently.
  14. You cannot gain two of the same Ability unless the Ability has a value, like Armor +1 or Hard to Wound +1. Edit: So in OP's example, the second instance of CATV would just not be gained.
  15. Charge Action Attacks are explicitly not separate from the Charge Action. The Charge Action doesn't resolve until both attacks and all triggers they declare are resolved. Edit: I don't have the rulebook on me, but I know it mentioned that Actions which generate Actions do not resolve until all Actions they generated are resolved. This is why you can't use a (0) in between Charge Attacks. He declares the Action He fails the Horror Duel. He Charges, swings both times. Action Resolves. RN swings now since it requires the resolution of the original Action that caused the WP duel that failed.
  16. Correct. As long you don't move vertically, you're fine. If you start moving vertically, you have to measure that too.
  17. It's an Avatar Wave Generic Upgrade.
  18. Why was Bodyguard on models you both knew would be fighting hard / dying? Protect Territory seems like a safe choice here, esp revealed.
  19. Here's a pertinent piece from the FAQ about abilities that ignore terrain -- I'm not sure you'd even be able to make the charge to begin with since you're going HT3 to HT0 to HT2.
  20. When laying out Blasts, the model the Blasts came from (Fuhatsu, in this case) cannot be damaged by them. Models underneath one or more Blast Markers take stepped down damage. Note: that's not per Marker -- if a model is under two Markers, it only takes one dose of damage. Each Blast Marker is the originally stepped down damage -- 4 for your example. Think of these Markers as happening in roughly the same instant as part of the same explosion, with the original target (Fuhatsu) being the origin of -- and included already in -- the blast itself.
  21. Black Joker is explicitly 0 damage. It's not given any other category, nor can it be construed as any other category. The question is strictly in regards to the "Severe + Weak" clause for the Red Joker -- whether the Red Joker counts as Severe when Severe is mentioned by the rules. There is no correct answer until an FAQ.
  22. Argued back and forth to no actual outcome, but yeah, now that I'm looking at it, it does more imply that dealt is separate from suffer. Dealt still makes things strange though. Armor is "Reduce all damage suffered by this model by +1, to a minimum of 1" not "Reduce all damage dealt to this model by +1, to a minimum of 1" which would be much clearer. "Suffered by" and "dealt to" are not naturally synonymous phrases, so I'm wondering why Malifaux uses them in such a way. EDIT: I believe I remember Justin mentioning that using "suffered" across all the rules makes things sound awkward and adds a lot of uneeded text. While I agree, a nice breakdown in an FAQ of terminology or at least a phase list (like damage is flipped, reduction occurs here, damage is suffered here, blah, blah) would be nice.
  23. It'll happen. As players get better and know what things do, games get a lot closer. Big tip: if your opening hand is all below 9, use a soulstone to draw 2 more cards and discard two cards. A lot of beginning players don't yet understand how important having a decent hand is, esp against Rotten Belles. If you play Infinity, it's like the first time someone Airdrops on you: you get melted because you didn't expect it and you didn't think of dealing with it (stupid Diomedes). When I was starting out in Malifaux, I accidentally got a friend who started with me to quit the game. He took Pandora, while I had the Ortegas. He dedicated his entire crew to Paralyzing Papa Loco, which he did. Then I used Perdita to explode Papa Loco anyway, twice. 17 damage to his entire crew. He quit pretty much immediately, but after playing a few games over the next few months, he's come back after realizing it was his tactical error combined with a lack of rules understanding. We've had a ton of amazing, close match-ups since, though he has decided that Pandora is not his preferred playstyle and switched over to Lilith and Von Schill.
  24. As far as standalone models, Fuhatsu is a massive firebase to add to a box that doesn't have really any great ranged attacks. Just keep in mind how slow he is. I'll second Toshiro too. He's solid and brings in some buffs and summons to a crew that does neither.
