I can agree with that, it just didn`t sound like that before - they are different, and we where talking about placing the blast markers I don`t quite get that part - her range does not increase while attacking burning models? Sure, she get`s to ignore LoS and cover but I´m at a loss why her 3rd ap should be able to place markers any further than her 2nd for example.
  3. So, what is Mech Riders Def trigger using instead, if not the stacking mechanic? But the same holds true for any other blaster, right? Misaki is still the most flexible "blaster" in that sense
  4. See, I´m under the impression that every double faction TT is better in TT than in their other faction, save maybe for Yan Lo^^

Don`t think so tbh, but we`ll see Personally I think that`s a problem that should be discussed with your TO`s as it`s very hard to counterplay an empty table - there are still options but there`s nothing special we could help here, I think everything has been said. If these tables are the norm at your place you`ll always have problems with super alpha strikes, but that`s not the games fault

And I understand that, but I have to say that`s a bit of information that would`ve helped very much right from the start So, Imo, the list is not the problem, it`s the tables - very much like Perdita used to dominate a lot of the early tournaments because open tables allowed you to just kill everything, with no place to hide - many players and TO´s adapted to that situation and so it changed @Ludvig but there are many companies out there which produce crates and stuff like that, rocks and small walls are easily built, shouldn`t take much more than a weekend for several tables
  7. Hey guys, thank you very much for the quick response I´m at work atm so don`t have much time but I the tournament tables look like they could use some more scatter terrain at least. Also, something like the big "train station" building could be placed more centrally to force both players to play around it more, it`ll have virtually no influence at the game at the back of the table. The (I guess) private tables don`t look that bad to me and some flame walls, def 8 or 9 models, stone pillars or disguised whatever could block the pigs charge lanes pretty effectively. Some of it still depends on terrain declaration (the bushes for example, are you able to go through, see through?) and of course only hiding won`t do you much good in many scheme pools, but I think there are options to block the cahrge and counter attack Edit: you could also ask the TO beforehand and bring a box of your own terrain with you when you play? some scatter and small buildings don`t take up too much space and should improve the gaming experience on these tables drastically^^

  9. Also @Ludvigs terrain question - could you guys put pictures of some of your tables up in the forum? As several "solutions" revolve around proper positioning of stuff (models and flame walls mostly) some pictures could be very helpful to explain how others might approach playing against that list rather than us only concentrating on listbuilding which only gets you so far
  10. Agreed, I'm all against tailoring a list against a very specific master unless I'm absolutely certain I'll face that master - but, as a suggestion, what about the idea of a disguised Peacekeeper for example to block charge lanes for the pigs?
  11. So, why do you take Abuela with Disguise as good advice, but any other model with disguise "can't do anything against that list"? If I misunderstood that statement I'm sorry, that's just the eay I read it thorughout the thread. If we're talking about making her more durable, why not get her Lead Lined Cloak?
  12. Again, they would need LoS to charge me, and if they don`t push that aggressively that`s more than unlikely barring any player mistakes, don`t you agree? Even that list can`t stay back and push forward to threaten multiple charge lanes at once, both at the same time Plus, as it occured to me just now - don`t underestimate Nellie in the overall activation game, she`s able to slow you down, push your pigs around, pack something to alpha your list or match your activation count with relative ease.

That`s the reason you try to set the flame walls in between larger pieces of terrain, or directly in front of Sonnia all of which should make the required angles and ranges quite hard to get - but as i said before, we`ll have to settle in on the conclusion that one has to play this match up as talking seems to get us nowhere^^

  15. Our meta would most likely try and probably find a way to play against it, as we like to go to tournaments and have to be prepared for everything^^

The point of the topic is moot though as we can sit here all day long and talk about our best models, biggest hitters and sturdiest tanks but in a situation like that it`ll more often than not come down to how the specific list play out on the board - I think, as others have stated before, that it´s not that easy to get clear charge lanes with your rg1" pigs if you measure and move all models careful enough. There`s also a lot of models with armor, htw, htk and soulstone use available and pigs can struggle to kill these, placement effects, slow and other fun conditions like no charge or whatnot aside. I also think that a Guild list could alpha you first with say, a peacekeeper which might cost me my model but keeps your models tied up and might turn your stampede triggers into a liability as the pigs might charge your own models. Additionally, I´m quite positive that most Guild beaters can manage to at least damage you severely which might not be such a great deal with eat you fill but again robs him of options and slows the list down. So, I don`t think there`s "the" list to break that Gremlins list but rather a playstyle which is always hard to convey via forum posts - just don`t loose your heart when playing against it and for a start try to measure ranges and angles very thoroughly

  20. So, what are -your- upgrades, your most loved action on her? :) And why do you think she's less resilient at the start of the turn? She's always suspectible to high min damage but otherwise her abiljty to cheat everything down is great :) Are you talking about her not having any evidence at the beginning of the turn to win the duel and push the model away?
  21. Ok, after finally reading the ruleset I`m wondering - why was the "pairing" system so drastically changed? Random pairing with a single swap for the whole event takes a lot away from the different experience a team tournament usually provides. Still looking forward to the event, but I hope we could vote for a small change here?

I mean, don`t underestimate 0 ap interacts, forced with horror duels and with don`t mind me near Lucius (so one Thrall could drop a marker to let the other one attack if he`s close by^^), but yeah, one does tend to use him mainly for promises, which isn`t very effective in a standard Lucius crew.
  23. Basically free pushes (as was mentioned before, unresistable), card draw by discarding any kind of marker (corpse, scrap, scheme) and anti scheming capabilities on a model with 7 wounds that can't be charged
