  1. This will be the foundation for the house I'm building. Once I've decided on the layout for the back wall, I'll be able to finish the first floor. I also need to decide where I want the stairs, but there is so little room for this tiny house. (Roughly 7x5.5 inches) After marking out the bricks and rocks, I've decided that the most important hobby tool is not the razor blades or the paint brush, but the mighty ball point pen! Also, I need a smaller metal ruler. Mine is a yard stick.
  2. Three walls in different stages of doneness.
  3. That's no defense. You should have started with Gremlins.
  4. For a foam core building, how do you make, or what do you use for door hinges?
  5. Thanks, I'm glad you like them. The turf was easy. I took the picture immediately after I made it. :-P in all seriousness, I put a watered down layer of glue on the foam and applied the flock. Then I used a spray bottle with more watered down glue to seal it. That didn't work very well so I sprayed dull coat on top of that. It helped some, but there are still spots it falls off. Fortunately that type of flock is relatively cheap, so I can reapply as needed.
  6. You said Perdita, but I read Ophelia. It was an odd image of her with an oversized guitar.
  7. So I've begun my very slow start to this and have cut out 3 walls for a building. I wanted to plan everything out, but I also wanted to get started and that won out.
  8. I really like the shelves you made. What kind of stain/paint did you use?
  9. Cool. I was going to see if I could recreate a few of them with foam core.
  10. If you live near DC I have the old metal model you can have. You would just need to come down to my LGS for a game.
  11. Those are great looking tables! Did you make the buildings or can you buy them somewhere?
  12. Thanks! The barn was really easy too. Its basically a box with craft sticks glued to it and a Mt. dew box cut up for the shingles.
  13. Your Gremlin player probably doesn't know which master he'll play either. I only have experience with Ophelia, Wong, Zoraida, and Somer, but this is how I determine my master. For reconoiter, go with what Jeebus posted. If the start is reckoning, I won't take Somer, but the other three are great (Somer could work, but I only have a little experience with him). So its basically down to schemes. I'd probably favor a Wong list, but like I said, It depends... If Assassination is a choice I'll usually reach for Zoraida with the raven form upgrade. Its hard to kill something that can place 15 inches away. We have a lot of things that are good for assassination too, like all of the LaCroix, Gracie, McTavish, etc... Of course I may just choose wong. If bodyguard is a choice I love Gracie with Wong and Sammy. Put the dirty cheater upgrade on Gracie and she can heal herself a lot! But if you bring something that ignore armor, she's a sad pig. There is plenty more to look at, but I'm just getting back in to the game, so I don't want to give you bad advice.
  14. I'm getting some more foam board next week. Should I do terrain for a city board, graveyard board, or Spanish Colonial?
  15. I just noticed Nicodem lost Embrace Death. This makes me sad :-(
  16. I look forward to see what you come up with. Great start with the planning!
  17. I made this piece based of a YouTube video I found for gallows (maybe on this forum). I changed the gallows significantly and came up with this. And this is my own. Please post any comments or critique you have (I know the pic quality is bad). And if you have any questions, just ask.
  18. The next two pieces were copied straight from a magazine.
  19. On the A Wyrd Place Facebook page, someone asked about what to make out of old Popsicle sticks. I'm no terrain guru, but I'm good at copying and altering other peoples terrain ideas to make my own. Feel free to copy any of the terrain I've made, or alter it and make it your own as well. My first few terrain pieces were made for a different game, but I feel they work well, or even better, in Malifaux. This was the first piece I made. The stone centerpiece is separate from the hill so you can drop it in, or remove it and place grass inserts in its place.
  20. That's how I thought it worked. The argument against me was because of the wording on critical strike saying something like on damage.
  21. I had a rulebook, for a day then it disappeared :-( Last week I was playing a game and one of the players declared a trigger off his damage flip. I didn't think that was right, but since I didn't have a rulebook, and it was late, I didn't worry. During the short time I had a rulebook, I thought I read that triggers occurred during duels, which a damage flip is not. Of course, I've been wrong before, so I ask you... When can triggers be triggered? Are thier triggers that occur on damage flips? This specific case was one of the ram triggers on a friekorps model.
  22. I guess I should have looked closer. I just thought they had disproportionately large areola (pancake nipples for short) Hmm. Now I need to get someone to make a diorama with a gremlin modded in a chef hat throwing pancakes at them. Full disclosure, I'm on prescription narcotics and have been awake for 22.5 hours.
  23. I was wondering if empty board space would count as terrain in my scenario so you could ignore it. Maybe it will get another FAQ.
  24. That's how I was reading it too. Its a shame that to fly from one roof to the other you first have to fall to the ground.
