I think it's very disingenuous to say (straight) sexuality doesn't feature in the lore when we have the Honeypot, quite a few storylines featuring / centering on sex workers, Kirai and Francis had a post-sex in bed scene, etc... there's plenty of examples. And yes, cultural attitudes surrouding LGBT+ people where different / how people labelled themselves was different, but that's true for straight people too. A bit of LGBT+ inclusion only makes people feel included / represented, same with how there actually being a decent amount of female masters has always been something I've brought up as a positive of Malifaux when talking about it to other people. Representation doesn't affect people negatively if you're not part of the group, but does help minorities be included, and I'd argue makes the lore and setting feel deeper and more expansive.

The wiki has been saying they're going to move for a while now; any news on that?

So Pistolero De Latigo's Ability Look Out! reads: "If this model has not Activated during this Turn, other friendly models within a3 of one or more models with this Ability gain + to Df flips." Now I might be reading it wrong, but as written as long as one of your Pisteleros hasn't activated, the Aura will still be Active for ALL of them, regardless of whether those activated or not. That doesn't really seem to be how it was intended though?

But how is she like power level wise though; is it as doom and gloom overpowered as people thought when she had just come out?

I'd be cool if they released a pdf or such with all the me1 stories. Or just a big story anthology. And yeah, I'm not fond of the idea of story content going to Through the Breach / The Other Side cause I don't play those.

That still makes me wonder why he needed the Gorgon Ring for his (Plague's) Device; and why the Red Cage specifically honed for the Gorgon's Statue in the Bayou.

The main lore thing I find hard to grasp is exactly what and how the event was, how the gorgon features into it, etc... Me2 feels better about it to be honest, I found Crossroads and onwards easier to understand at least.

I've read all the books and there's still bunches of stuffs I don't get. I'm not sure whether things are intentionally kept vague or I'm just not good at grasping them; but the fluff is still very engaging.

Actually the old me1 boxes had that, had lore descriptions about the models and (what I personally found more important) painted up versions of them rather than renders.

So I've been rereading the Me1 books, and I have a few questions: 1. The mechanical zombie things Ophelia and Perdita are still fighting in Me2 Book 4; do those stem from the Red Cage? Are they related? How? I assume those are the things the Ortega's fought when going in to liberate Sonnia too in Me2 Book 1. 2. Just what is the Red Cage? And how did Plague trying to ascend with the device in Me1 Book 2 cause it to be broken? 3. In the original me1 book when Rasputina is rescued by the Arcanist posse; Marcus mentions that the guild wanted posters say that Rasputina drowned her own child, do we ever find out more about this? 4. Do we find out what kind of pact she made with December?

I'm honestly still not sure why they took away her peacebringer, even just having that one with say an anti-undead bullet trigger or such would be nice. Though I guess you could argue she carries around more as a symbol than as a weapon, considering I don't know even knowing her great skill how good she'd be at shooting blind.

They can sit behind terrain though, same as Ten Thunders Archers have to do.

Hmm, some of the models look a bit generic I feel, like Crow Runners and the other Abyssinia unit looks fairly indistinguishable, though that might be a bit better when I see them painted? It's mostly the Burning Man ones that catch my eye, also a bit disappointing the King's Empire Titan is just a very generic looking walker, same with the Gibbering Hordes one. I'm not super interested in the game anyway cause of the scale, but at least it presents an opportunity for scavenging.

I always thought that you could still stand on impassible terrain, just not move through it? Depends on how you take enter I guess. It just, iunno, it feels a bit messy.

So I have a question that's confusing me a bit cause i feel it's not hte most intuitive but according to the rules it works like this: A model standing on say a ht 1 Rock (hard cover) will get cover from models shooting at it as long as in top down view you can draw a line of sight line that crosses the rock?

I mean, nothing's stopping you from doing so if your opponent / the TO is okay with it.

Like, I sympathize and am generally a proponent of free rules (why I like Guild Ball a lot) and I'd prefer if Malifaux worked like that as well, but you paid for me1 models, not me2 ones, you can play me1 malifaux just fine. Is there no-one in your community that has the freikorps cards? You could even proxy / borrow models and play another crew if you just wanted to see if you liked the new rules. Surely you can understand that years after the transition to me2 it's not really feasible for Wyrd anymore to keep the arsenal packs around considering how little they sell.
