  1. I'd probably have them come in slow at least. If not with a summon upgrade.
  2. What about giving Abuela Ortega the bump to henchmen? You could make her a Sammy equivalent card draw engine. Zorida used to have a "Proper Manners" defense that gave out negative twists to anyone attacking her without using focus. Maybe upgraded Abuela could get something like that. And maybe replace "Nice Shot, Dear!" With something like: "So Well Behaved": When a Family model in 6" takes the focus action, draw a card. I mean if Sandeep can get draw and other absurd value off concentrate why not Family? Family Values would get way better when in her range, so maybe the range would have to be tinkered with. "A Por Él" could also be used as focus stacking and card filtering making cheap family ie Pistoleros more attractive. I think adding a new family Henchman comes with the problem of explaining why they were missing from the fluff until now.
  3. I thought he meant putting the leap on Hannah and using Adaptive Tactics to target herself and then use Leap.
  4. I don't think that works. It says: "After this model resolves an action listed on this upgrade". I don't think copying it "unlists" the ability from the card
  5. This was pretty much my impression too. To the point where if my opponent were to declare ES, I would seriously think about just scooping.
  6. I've had Mad Dog delete my Whiskey Golem in one activation too many times to see him as anything other than stellar. It's too the point where I usually don't bother bringing armored stuff versus Outcasts.
  7. I think most beater models outperform cheaper minions at combat. But the bandidos can also do stuff that Mad Dog can't. Like be in two places at once or get added value from Drop it triggers via Trigger Finger. Also I think it's hard to compare Mad Dog to an equivalent soul stone value of anything. He is pretty stellar as far as 10ss Henchmen go. Like sees lots of play OOK and has one of the most punishing ranged attacks in the game, outperforming many ranged Masters. Bandidos are good 5ss minions. But few models gets to be stellar at that price point like Necropunks or Tanuki.
  8. Freikrops has lots of decent "Pull!" Targets. Mad Dog passes decent and moves into stellar. Bandidos are mobile 5ss models with the ability to store AP and a situational obey. What more do you want out of them? Bulletproof might be thematic, but I don't see them really needing anything else. They already have a squeal equivalent for defense tech.
  9. Yeah. I'm kinda confused that all Relic Hammers don't ignore Armor or have it as a trigger. It was a big part of their fluff in the last two eds that they seriously wrecked constructs. Now Taelor gently love taps golems.
  10. I think I'd drop her cost by a stone and change Welcome to Malifaux to: This model gets positive twists to attack and damage actions targeting models with Summon Upgrades. That and change more Summons to having attached upgrades.
  11. I agree. Both Zip and Zorida seem like good picks.
  12. I watch thinking a full summoner, more something small and annoying to get in the way. Like a bayou gremlin. Maybe it has a "counts as enemy" ability to let you kill them for card draw. I like this ability. Maybe getting rid of them takes discarding a card. So as a debuff it puts hand pressure and as a buff it takes card resources to turn off. Iirc the old ones were: +2 MV, but can only declare walks +1 damage but can only declare attack actions. Full heal+ paralyzed I can't remember what the last option was. This is a neat idea too. Like the old Killjoy mechanic were he had to charge if able, meaning careful placement or he'd eat your dudes.

  14. I've been going for too. Now that Nico's gone maybe we can get a Gremlin to play copy cat, Kin style.
  15. Collodi and Jack Daw crews already do that. And there's a bit of stagger stuff in Elite. If we're wishlisting, I'd have Grimwell or whoever the Master is have an action to attach upgrades that gave out the Asylum key word and "counts as friendly" as models to represent "institutionalizing" Enemies. It could both do something to debuff "patients"and could synergize with the Prepare for Surgery action. Maybe have the attached upgrade summon "patient" models when the model it's attached to dies. Maybe the upgrade has something like "Illegible Prescriptions, when this model would heal, it loses that many wounds instead" Thematically I think it would work with the summoning idea. You institutionalize enemy models and don't "kill" them but pacify them and turn them into model patients through a mixture of medication, restraints and lobotomies. It might require careful balancing as Emergency Surgery and Bottle of Painkillers don't have resists.
  16. I think I'd give Grimwell the bump before making a new Master. Maybe have Heartsbane make it to henchmen too. I'd love to see the old nurse style abilities that were good and bad so you could use them offensively or on your own crew as the situation required.
  17. I'm surprised that Family don't have a couple built in Critical Strikes. That used to be Guild's bread and butter in first and second.
  18. Dead Rider, Archie and Rogue Necromancy makes for a lot of beaters. With Assasination likely it might be better to have Mah hang back and Horrible Holerin' and Mass Hysteria models out of position.
  19. Yeah. I think it is a LLC problem, but I feel like nerfing LLC would be like kicking the crutch out from underneath a lot of Guild crews. I like it. Maybe more of an Asylum/Experimental ability.
  20. I'm mostly worried about Francisco being unkillable with LLC+Grit+ Shielded meaning knocking off 3 damage before getting into soulstone prevention.
  21. I think they need some defense tech too. I think I'd prefer them getting armor over easy access to easy shielded. I know I wouldn't want to deal with Family beaters with LLC + shielded.
  22. I like this idea. But I don't think of Family as Ruthless so much as Brave. Like they fight scary monsters, not gun down innocents. I think I'd like something like- Reckless Bravery when this model fails a Terrifying test, it may lose a Wound to count as passing and gain Fast. Or something.
  23. I think the Bokor makes it a little worse but really I think Sammy would be almost as bad with any good healing model. Spit Hog misses out on Deja Vu, but also doesn't need to be fed 7s to hit healing TN. I think a lot of it is having 3 1ss models in crew with lots of AP to spend slapping Sammy around. Like I don't think many people complain that Sammy is OP in Wiz-Bang.
  24. Scavengers are great. All the Weird Device triggers are great and with Tools for the Job they are able to do a pretty good of getting the one they want. Also running a pair of them my opponent managed to pick up the Red Joker from his discard twice last game. 😭
  25. Yeah part of that was my fault. I think I focused too much on Levi as the guy who eats 6 wound models in melee, but forgot his gun isn't that bad and left the Bokor out in the open without cover or concealment.
