Although I do not have the book, from the pictures linked in the first post, it really does look like a pretty poor layout. But, lets be real for a second, everyone is aware that the schedule was tight, the rules have been playtested to the last possible second, so the fact that the book has been printed in time for Gencon is a miracle by itself! If you ask me, I would much rather have a bad layout than bad rules. This way, the whole community participated in making the rules best that can be, given the situation.

I must admit that I did not read any of the HP Lovecrafts novels, although I did hear about him and like the art that he has inspired. What would you recommend being a "must read"?

Its a tough one! Metal +'s: - disproportional sculpts are sometimes good (mostly faces, actually can be painted to a degree of detail lvl) - strippable - hefty - sturdy - better for a less experienced painter Plastics +'s: - easier to assemble (no pinning needed) - less paint chipping - smoothnes leads to smoother paint jobs - propotional (lifelike) sculpts - quiality is raising

I don't really agree with the premise of power creep necessity in miniature war gaming. IF you develop a robust and expandable system, introduction of new crews should be about implementing new flavors and themes (even new model designs) not more power. I am the first who will buy a new crew/army/whatever based on the theme not power level. This is a MINIATURE GAME, which presumes miniature assembly and painting, and I can't make myself paint something I don't enjoy the look of. I pity the people who buy "new stuff" just because of their temporary power status in a game.

Meh... Lady J's hair is disappointing. Whats with the judges right hand? Although, LJ is my primary master, I wont be picking these up in the near future. +1 for quality though
