i actually see the Portrait as a way to like the alps Oo -
Cool basing tut! i like the idea with the saw! cool Executioner also.. the "hair" is brilliantly done..

i actually niked the idea from a good rezzer thread (i think it was rameses) and as i just love pumpkins and love the strange funny/horror touch the rezzermodels have i thought it would work well. (besides i have a faible for horrorpunk an halloween ^^) edit: found the thread... wasn't rameses (but a good thread nevertheless!) it was Koyote

@ morpsele: well, it is not that dificult acutally... just take your time... and do them one by one... i paint about max. 3 Malifaux miniatures a month and i try to learn new stuff with every miniature... from there on it is easy... just repeating and learning and practice... i painted quite average for most of my gaming life... but since about 5 Years i try to improve it constantly... @ ttsgosadow: Thanks, jup they are. i made a Tutorial on some of my bases once, but in German *g* if you wish i could try to translate it someday..., and i thought about tuning the grass down or switch coulour alltogether but i think the contrast suits my painting style so i kept it ^^ @ Demonn Agram: well, me too... i just hide it with the good cam of my girlfriend... the pics are 1 of about 20 taken... so much "dead shots" there...

@ Agram: As you wish o Master of Colour! I shall cleanse them in an insant! @ all: i noticed that the Groupshot for Outcasts and Rezzers seemed to be quite outdated... and as i had good sunshine today and the Minis with me i just did some new ones...

Just off the train... My journey into Malifaux
Darios replied to Angels_blade's topic in Miniature Showcase
i dig 'em.... the Black looks realy good... reminds me a bit of Shadwrun the whole thing *g* -

MÖP! Baba Yaga is an Russian Myth, not a nordic one... big difference there...
-
Female Gunsmith is Trinity from Matrix Movies... the Riders are a reference to the biblical Apocalyptic Horsemen Misaki has some ring of Mulan to her... oh i forgot: the Ronin are 3 of the Viper Assasination Squad from Kill Bill the Punk Zomies wear iconic 80-90s subculture dressing (Gothbondage ala the Crow, Exploited Punk Style, Male Longskirt...) Seamus Avatar is the incredible Hulk.
-
the Mantic ones work good... i use them too, but you might want to consider the westwind victorian Zombies from empire dead... great stuff... as for Punkt Zombies.. probably taking some Venezian Rapierfighters? proably find some from Carnevale or Freeboters Fate?
-
i can second this... had a look at the mini in real and it's not THAT visible at all... i might even say the pic doesn't do the real thing justice..
-
signed up extra for this... please approve!

well i ended up not using the last 2 pins... and i didn't glue the joints... but i don't think i'll move the parts around much... stresses the paint ^^ and with basing his legs will be stuck so not much moving there ^^
-
@ benhur: well met my friend...! *g* nice to see you here...

Maybe get a box of the Oyran and as sugessted: GS and wire plus guts from zombiesprues... should do the job.
-
a tip for the purple highlighting issue: use a light metallic coulour and do the highlights before washing it... then try to use the brush to have more of the wash in the recesses .... should work

my best time painting minis was when i painted with 2 freinds of mine... i managed to o paint 3k points of 40k Daemons (including 40 Bloodletters) in about 3 months that way, by just painting twice a week in the evening with two buddys. we all did benefit from that as everyone ended up having painted an army (and soome extrastuff) and we could learn from each other.

might i use the Pics for Posting it elsewhere?
