  1. hi fellow ressers, i finally start painting my pirate molly crew, and it's amazing. but i know nothing about molly crew. i heard ar'rrr'chie was a must-take but then it was nerfed. so, after the update, is there any change in molly's tactics and strategies? crew members, and etc. is appreciated thank you so much
  2. I am totally new to Malifaux and looking for advice how to approach the game as a beginner and also how to approach it from a Mollys crew perspective. What are the main bits of advice you’d give to a beginner about the game and also about Mollys crew, their synergy and strengths and weaknesses? I have purchased the pirate themed Molly crew, Rogue Necro, Effigy, Crooligans and the Death rider – I will be proxying Archie until I can get a hold of one as he’s hard to find!.   3. Hello fellow Wyrdos! I am coming back to the game after a hiatus midway through 2E. Between a close friend talking me back in, and a better gaming group locally, I am back to avoiding the Black Joker. Back with one major caveat this time; a self-imposed limitation for buying models. Last time I played, I had a very Pokemon-esque "gotta buy 'em all" mentality, which led to several still NIB models that were never built, let alone painted or put on a table. I would like to avoid that this time, and have decided to limit myself to only models that I can fit into my standard Malifa

  6. So! Me and my play group are recently getting back into Malifaux with the upcoming M3e and have started playing with the beta rules and cards to get a feel for things. So far it's super fun!! However the biggest disappointment for me is Molly. 😢 While her card and synergy models are a bit all over the place with a cohesive theme (and will hopefully be tightened up before official release) I feel like as a long time Molly fan the biggest loss is her connection with the other Belles!   8. Just started getting in to Molly, and really enjoying her despite the first few outings being more error than trial. I see a lot of information out there on Horror Molly, and believe I get the concept even if application is currently in development. Nuance aside, I understand the general Horror game plan to be: Taxi Molly and some big horrors up field turn 1 (with any combination of sybelle/kentoroi/doxy/mortimer/necrotic).   9. Hey guys for a fun secret santa event we did I ended up getting Molly for a master. I am super excited to play her! Now another twist I want to get another master for Rezzers to have more options at events and such. Who would complement Molly to bring along? Also a master that makes use of her models too would be nice, lots of over lap to cut down painting I am going to be purchasing Saemus and Nico starter sets to kick off my rezzers and fill out Molly, past that I think ill be grabbing dead doxies, necro punks and a rogue necro.   11. So I find myself with an extra box of Goryo due to ordering them, then finding my GenCon 2015 order in a box in the closet post-move. I'm just curious if I should keep all 4, or only assemble two (which I'm nearly done with the 2 from Gencon, but ran out of scotch so took a break ). Molly and Kirai players, have you ever really needed 3+ in games, barring the rare occasion? Should I just sell the other unopened box and save myself the migraine and liver failure?
  12. With the introduction of Nellie, the Journalist characterist now exists. But what about our favorite undead reporter? I want Molly to gain the 'Journalist' characteristic, as far as I can tell it wouldn't do anything for her other than be nice and fluffy.

  14. I want to start ressers, and do it with bang My first choice is spirit Molly. I saw pull my finger and many topics on this forum. I hope I won't double any already asked questions. 1. Do people play Molly with Hannah, additional card looks nice, and she can copy many CA in Molly lists 2. How many models for summons should I have, one of each is OK?   16. With all the recent interest in Brawler Pandora I've been wondering if we could almost do something similar with Molly? Granted her Paralyze is way harder than Voices but it's doable. Has anyone out here messed with this? Get the negative flip on the target then Paralyze it? Throw some Adversary on the target and let Izamu take it out? [Assumes Spirit Molly obviously]
  17. This is actually my second thread, having started one back in 2010 which resulted in a few painted 1st Edition metals. I tried to revive it last year with a few Resurrectionists plastics but that project crashed and burnt because I wasn't prepared for the fragility of the plastics! I guess this makes attempt no. 3! This time I thought out the potential assembly issues in advance and so far no problems with the Punk Zombie I've started: The aim for these models is a realistic and desaturated look. After the Punk Zombies are done I guess next will be more Resurrectionists.
  18. I would quite to use Jaakuna and several Drowned as a basis for a [casual] Spirit Molly crew - would this be a feasible idea? I'm quite keen on the "drowned" theme that they both have. As far as I figured, Jaakume / Drowned synergise well together as a "tarpit", where I could also use Rotten Belles or Dead Doxies set up behind them to pull enemies into Jaakuna's hazardous terrain ability. The Drowned could then use Riptide or Drag Under to pull enemies towards Jaakuna as well. Any thoughts? Would this be a feasible play style at all?
  19. Hi everyone. Recent changed from Neverborn to Ressers. I'm enjoying using Mcmourning and Seamus but I want to try a summoner but I have been struggling to find a lot of advice on starting . Molly seems to be a very different type of master/summoner. Does anyone have advice for a newbee other then reading pullmyfinger
  20. TL;DR--read the bold stuff. Key crew components are Molly with horror/spirit upgrade and Take Back the Night, Philip & the Nanny, and Mortimer with Corpse Bloat. Thought some feedback could help my development. I've put Seamus up for Molly at the moment, specifically horror Molly. I know spirit Molly is likely better at this point from a general point of view, and I've said as much, but I want to experiment with horror Molly because she's fun, thematic, and I think there may be some tricks with her that spirits don't have as great of access to.   21. I was reading through Molly's Masterful dead entry on PMF and I can't help but notice there might be something a bit off. It implies that you use Masterful Dead to reduce the damage taken down to 1, and then you stone it to prevent the last damage. After reading her card and the rulebook, shouldn't it be the other way around (Doesn't damage prevention takes place BEFORE applying the damage, and then Masterful Dead takes place AFTER Molly suffers damage?)? I could be wrong or am I missing something?
  22. So I'm back to Rezers, how I missed the dead girls... Anyways, I'm planning on focusing all my energy on mastering Molly Squidpiddge, and I think I've been missing a little damage on my opponent. If Molly has the Forgotten Life upgrade on, giving all her horror and belle friends within 6 Black Blood, and she summons said horror or belle model within 6, when it takes the damage from being summoned, does it's black blood kick out a wound of damage to everything within 1, as well as the 1 damage to everything within 3 that fails it's Wp duel?   23. Hello Malifauxers, I'm back with another battle report. My whole posting schedule has been a tad disrupted, but it works out as I know have a backlog of games played to edit. Here we have an Interference game between Sonnia and Horror Molly. I have been having quite a challenge playing Molly so far. Anyone who wants to comment on things I could have done better, please do! I want to learn how to use this interesting master better! Enjoy.
  24. So I've picked up Molly as my newest master. I got her on the table last weekend and learned tons, especially how card hungry she is. After doing some theory-faux later, I thought of this. First turn, three models (probably belle/doxies) activate, walk and drop schemes. Philip either gets fast from Carrion Emmissary or gets a 1 ap action from Molly. He uses Lost Knowledge 3 times, drawing 6 cards and discarding 3. A similar sequence can happen turn 2. Is this method of card cycle too AP intensive? Molly would have take back the night on her, but I dont find its enough card draw to re
