  1. You are correct that Shenlong would still have Poison +3. Page 29 of the rules says that when you gain a condition with a value, it is added to any value you currently have. Because of this Sacred Ink would only stop the additive from happening, not remove the condition entirely.
  2. It looks like you’re trying to limit each master/keyword to two green options, but pretty much every Yan Lo list I’ve seen and played begins with both Manos and Chiaki. For Qi and Gong, Lust has a great deal of synergy with Youko that should take her out of the never category.
  3. With the recent changes, this question applies to Youko now too.
  4. That’s true, but I think Youko still gets just as much out of them, if not more. We may see them in Qi and Gong now that she’s been updated
  5. Students still make sense. They’re trying to achieve enlightenment too. A Grit ability and a self heal would go well with this.
  6. Sometimes, but not often. When I do, it’s definitely for the Pneumatic Toss. I’ll sometimes take one into pools where it looks like an enemy model needs to be in a specific place, just to make it more difficult. They can also move any slower models of mine up the board in the meantime.
  7. I like the idea of where Shenlong is going after he learned first hand what will happen to him when the dragon decides to separate from him. I think it’d be interesting to see a title for him that is less combat/damage oriented and more control/buff oriented. Something to the tune of “I’ve achieved enlightenment and so can you. Also, here’s som chi.”
  8. The hazardous terrain resolves after the current action. So in your example, a model with one wound would resolve a single action and then die if the hazardous deals damage to it. Accomplice wouldn’t resolve, as that happens at a particular timing step that the model wouldn’t make it to.
  9. Yeah, I thought about Charm Warders for this, but I take them at least as often in keyword, if not more.
  10. I actually quite like Rail Workers in keyword. I like to situationally double Pneumatic Toss the Metal Golem on turn 1 and Pneumatic Toss enemies in the Vent Steam aura or other hazardous terrain for extra damage.
  11. I at least like the readily available stunned that there’s access too now. That’s can be pretty big into certain matchups.
  12. Yes. Distracted +1 will cancel Focus +1. If one condition is higher it just lowers the condition incrementally as you describe.
  13. I cautiously optimistic. I do hope these changes work out well.
  14. I frequently take two LRM in Monk crews. LRM and FRM are frequently the first monks I’ll reach. Gives a lot of staying power.
  15. When I put “ancestor & retainer” it give a complete list of everything that has either or both keywords, besides Ashigaru edit: I just realized that Ashigaru are the only retainer that don’t have the word ancestor printed somewhere on there card, so that makes sense
  16. Yes, Molly would damage you on the second attack.
  17. Option 1. Charge let’s you push and take a action. The charge and are both distinctly separate actions in the rules, so McCabe can get Make Way of multiple times with a charge
  18. You’re right. That occurred to me after I posted that. Still haven’t gotten to play with Gokudo since I’ve gotten my hands on them. Yeah aside from Yan Lo, you don’t even necessarily have to activate any models besides the ones you’re killing.
  19. So I’m going to break the cardinal rule of the internet and admit that I was wrong. The killing two ancestors to replace them isn’t card intensive if you do it properly and all of the actions used to kill them can be done with models that you are going to kill. You can add a model if you want to stretch the process out. Done properly you can actually end with more activations. The biggest risk is your opponent managing to snipe your Gokudo before you get your Ancestor back.
  20. The way I just listed with Manos and Yin works entirely with relenting, besides the summoning. It cuts out an activation, but requires a second Gokudo for what that’s worth.
  21. I just added an edit to that right before. It can work ok with Manos and Yin, if your opponent can’t damage your Gokudo on turn one.
  22. Yes they are. That’s why I said I said I think it’s effectiveness is questionable. It’s action intensive and can be card intensive. Although Rebuild Corpus mitigates the card intensive part somewhat. I am admittedly more familiar with the TT side of Yan Lo, so maybe there’s a tactic on the rezzer side I’m missing Edit: Thinking about it, it’s not too bad With Manos and Yin. Manos leaps, siphoning himself to damage himself and get sudden strike. He can then hit Yin 3x for a min of 8 damage to Yin and 4 to himself using Siphon for all 3 attacks. Then Yin can attack Manos and with min damage, can kill him with 2 actions. Then Yan Lo can kill Yin with min damage and rebuild corpus 2x to replace both. If you have 2 Gokudo this will be a 0 model net loss. This is the only only way I can think that’s not card intensive, but if someone can kill a Gokudo between activations, you lose an Ancestor, so it can be risky. It gets more card/action intensive if you want to kill something other than these two specifically.
  23. When I filter cards by Ancestor & Retainer, Ashigaru do not show in the listed models
  24. Kill an Ancestor. Their reliquary goes onto a Gokudo and Yan Lo uses Rebuild Corpus to replace that Gokudo with said Ancestor. After that you get a new Gokudo with Ancient Bloodline
  25. I am aware of that strategy. I’m not sure how common it is, admittedly I’ve not played much since lockdown started. But it’s effectiveness seems questionable, as that will eat a lot of actions to do. Although now that I’m thinking about it, it could be an interesting way to get some Gokudo further up the board early on, so maybe it could work well situationally.
