  1. I like and use all of them. I really couldn't choose a favorite Master, but Id have to vote for Lucius, I tend to make room for him and a few of his boyz in most guild crews.
  2. I wish he was a solid piece of metal. Its actually 11 separate pieces. 12 if you count the flame on the base of the one in the picture. It took alot of time glueing and even more time painting, but Id say it was worth it. How about you guys?
  3. That leaves the high Ram to cast, on a model that doesn't have use soulstones, to regulate the ability's use. Unless you get really lucky, you could only feasibly cast it once or twice, and with it being an all act, you would have alot of trouble casting it multiple times. In addition, nearly every other model in the Guild would benefit from having that high a Ram allotted to them during an action. Its just my opinion, but in comparison to Rats, Desperate Mercs, or Canine Remains, the lack of stats and feasible combat ability doesn't allow them to compare to other 2ss models. I understand entirely what you were going for, and you captured the essence of the random few law abiding people that may end up in the wrong place at the worst time, very, very, well. I just feel that to balance them out and keep with the theme, the ability to "evolve" the model to be better suited for combat, and a drain to resources to accomplish this, increases their overall utility. They go from being a complete and total liability from turn 2 on, to being a low tier minion that you could shoe-horn into whatever crew your using. I disagree on allowing the Mob to be summoned in this way though. Even if you were to make it 2 models to summon, you gain a model that can split into 3 other models. That would create a loop possibility that could put some MTG combos to shame. I based the mechanics of the mob more on Leveticus' models than I did the spider swarm. And like the creation of the Honest Citizen, I attempted to capture the essence of what a disgruntled bunch of villagers would be capable of. We're talking about the same people who get scared/angry and burn young teenage girls at the stake for witchcraft or collectively muster up their courage to storm into the nearby forest and kill the monster that has been preying on their livestock and/or children. In game terms, I was only trying to give the Honest Citizen, as a model, the ability to use numbers to its advantage and contribute to combat in that way, rather than trying to create a Death Marshall every turn. Basically, if you hire 1, 2, 3, or more, you would be able to turn them from a utility model into a combat model at the price of its former utility. Furthering the main goal of giving the Guild a low cost model that can contribute to most situations, while expanding individual model mechanics within the faction.
  4. The Dead Rider is the best for completing Souless Life in Avatar form or just giving Leveticus a place to respawn from. He can easily shrug off the 2 wd.
  5. Even with a way to reapply harmless it wouldn't be overpowered, and most if not all, models with Harmless have a way to do this. Second, A Hero Emerges, is an all act that only 6 cards in the game can cast, you shouldn't have to sac 2 citizens to bring in an equal cost model. Since there are requirements in-game(and strict ones at that) making it equal cost is a summoning-cuddle. Making it 1 citizen wouldn't over power the model, Masters just shouldn't have a built in conscription method. Look at the few other 2ss models, they are significantly more powerful than what you have written out already, I believe your erring a tad too much on the side of caution. ---------- Post added at 09:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:07 PM ---------- How about adding: Action- (1) Get your torches!!!:Sacrifice this model and 2 other Honest Citizens in base contact with it. Replace these with an Angry Mob, then continue the activation as normal for a replaced model. This action cannot be taken by models summoned this turn with "Well Done Men." Angry Mob-Summoned- Base Size 50mm Wk/Cg-4/6 Ht:2 Wp:6 Ca:4 Df:4 Wd:8 Improvised Armaments Rg:Melee 2 Cb:5 Dg:1/3/4 Abilities: Let's move: This model recieves +1/+1 Wk/Cg at the start of its activation for each Honest Citizen in base contact with it. Numerous: When this model would receive a token of any kind, it instead gains that number of tokens +1. When killed or sacrificed, this model generates 1 corpse counter in addition to any other counters or models it would normally produce. If this model is the target of any effect that would produce a counter the model targetting it receives one additional counter of the type gained. Abilities that gain Soulstones are not affected in this fashion. Are we Men?: At the start of its activation this model receives either Ruthless or Lifer, or its controller may discard one control card to give it both. Your not welcome here: Damage flips made by this model versus Undead, Graverobbers, Nightmares, Nephilim, and Beasts receive a positive flip. Actions: (0): Or are we mice?: Sacrifice any number of Honest Citizens within 3," this model performs a healing flip for each model sacrificed in this manner. (+1): Relentless (1): Well done men: Sacrifice this model, summon 3 Honest citizens into base contact with it before it is removed from play. All wounds on this model are divided as you choose among the summoned models.

The Gatling gun as a weapon states that if it causes severe damage you perform an additional flip, this is a gatling gun flip and still has the characteristics of the gatling gun. Make sense? I just woke up.
  7. Doppelganger's Shapeless is the only instance noted that you can take the same (0) act more than once that I know of.
  8. My girl is gonna be so happy to hear that. ---------- Post added at 02:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:48 PM ---------- But what about Hamelin where it says he can't be targeted? Or even the Dreamer with his ability?
  9. Does Whirling Death get around Pandora's will power duel, Pitiful, Harmless, and/or Hamelin's Bully? It states that she makes a melee strike against every model within 2 inches, but are those models then targeted in turn, resolving all checks? Or is it something that just happens to bypass all of that?
  10. Cool. Thats how Ive always played it, but Ive been wondering that for awhile.
  11. The difference between preventing the damage and preventing incoming wounds is that the DG number gets reduced by any available armor before you make the prevention flip, then you suffer any remaining wounds after both are applied.
  12. When you cast monstrous creation can any model in your crew discard BP or does it have to be McMourning specifically the discards them?
  13. Wow, Ive never seen a naked chick get so much hate outside of a titty-bar. Personally, I love it, and will be purchasing at least 4, to paint, and use as a replacement for every female model my opponents will allow me to.
  14. My friends would let me run them as well. The main reason I like to know these things is because Im looked to as the most experienced player for the area I live in. Which is a position I never asked for, but try to at least do justice. And the people I play with won't accept "you just can't."
  15. FINALLY!!!! Thats all I was asking. Point conceded. You are the first person that has actually told me why it doesn't work. Never a loss if you learn something from it. ---------- Post added at 04:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:37 AM ---------- And why run Leveticus and Nicodem, when I can just run Kirai and The Dreamer.
  16. Actually, never ran them together in my life. I was planning on it. It just seemed very thematic to me, two grizzled old men with great knowledge and understanding in two different aspects of death and dying. It just seemed appropriate. The reason I defend it is, the way Ive argued the factors at hand it would seem that the rules support it. ---------- Post added at 04:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:51 AM ---------- Theres a blurb like that after every boxed set. Also I just went on the crew creator, and Im not going to sit and talk badly about it, but lets just say its not the greatest reference to back up what your saying. Nevermind, just realized that the weird selection of models for Hamelin is legit, didn't realize he could hire Governor's Proxy as a totem in a Brawl, alongside the Dreamer with Grave Spirit connected. Sounds retarded doesn't it? ---------- Post added at 04:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:03 AM ---------- But I still would like to know why it wouldn't work.
  17. Im not disrespecting the program. I just dont trust computers. They screw up frequently, and for no good reason.
  18. I can respect that opinion, eventhough I don't trust computer programs like that. Id prefer to have a rules marshall tell me it can't be done and why the rules don't allow it, but at least you've given me something with a researchable backing. I can appreciate that. Eventhough your account was created in the last hour, Im the only person whose visited your profile page, you've mispelled Colorado, and most Americans don't usually specify USA. I give you credit for at least attempting to restart our dialogue.
  19. It says: Crews containing this model. And don't put your attitude on me. Look at the way you opened this dialogue, what should I expect?
  20. No, buddy, try reading the cards and not the posts Ive already addressed. And an easy way to shut me up that would actually work would be to tell me where you get your information.
  21. Again, being hired isn't the effect. Pariah is the ability that generates an effect, it affects all Constructs, Soulless, and Undead models, determing what can be hired into a Crew containing Leveticus. Or another interpretation is that it checks each model hired into the Crew for one or more of those charateristics and then allows it into the Crew based on whether or not one of them is present. Hiring is the end result, not an effect. Let's look at something completely different. Unexplained Connection: Crews containing C. Hoffman may hire this model at no additional Soulstone cost. (Malifaux, Rising Powers, pg 174, Coppelius-Minion) Its an ability that states that this model(Coppelius), for no tangible reason, can be hired into a Crew containg this other model(Hoffman). Ability generates effect, names affected model, and states end result. But maybe Im missing something, what is the common understanding of effect in this game?
  22. Foremost Q, I respect your opinion, you've always spoke about the rules with intelligence and accuracy. I never said hiring Nicodem was an effect, I said the ability to hire him was a result of Embrace Death allowing Pariah to affect him. Honestly, I can explain further if you like, but Im in strong disagreement that it is highly unlikely. Ive also just read the Defining Effects page in the small rulebook on page 19. Im still not seeing why it can't be applied as I have already laid it out.
  23. aSonnia can also suck up all burning tokens in a certain area and heal that many wounds.
  24. "Cannot overrides can" in Magic the Gathering, not always the case in Malifaux. Read "For Money" on the Viktoria stat card, watch it destroy what you "know" to be true. Im going to write what I see to be happening in the interaction of abilities, the exact wording of the abilities, and where you can find them, all I ask is that anyone who wants to oppose my perspective, please do the same. After strategies are flipped and you move into the Hire Crew "Phase" of the game, for a Brawl, you choose Leveticus as your Primary Master causing Pariah to become a new parameter in hiring your crew and your Secondary Master.(Pariah- Leveticus stat card V2- Crews containing this model can only hire Constructs, Undead, and Soulless models, but may hire them from any Faction without additional cost. This model cannot hire Totems. At the start of the first Activation Phase, summon a Hollow Waif to base contact with this model.) Pariah now has an effect on the crew you can hire. Abilities can have an effect at this phase, we already discussed a variety of the ones that do. You can now only hire Undead, Soulless, and Construct models, the only specification on what you can't hire are totems attached to Leveticus. You now "Hire" your Secondary Master, according to your new parameters. So lets go with Hoffman, he's a construct so Pariah affects him, allowing him to be hired or allowing him to be in the pool of models that can be hired, take your pick. He can be paired with Leveticus. Same for Ramos (who opens up Coryphee as an option, OOOOH remember that ability they have? He's an arcanist master and he fulfills that.) Or Hamelin because he's Soulless. Leveticus could even hire Molly or Collodi as Henchman, preferably over taking them as a second master, because they are Undead and Construct respectively, which means Pariah affects them. What about Perdita? No, she's Living because she has no characteristic that says otherwise, which means she is neither Undead, Construct, or Soulless. Therefore Pariah doesn't have an affect on her and she either can't be "hired" or is not in the available pool of hireable models because of it, take your pick. But the Viktorias can, despite that they're living, they have For Money. Which states - This Model may join a Crew with any other Master in a Brawl, but reduce its Crew's available soulstones by 5.(Viktoria Stat card) And then there's Nicodem he's living, which means Pariah won't affect him. Enter Embrace Death- This Model can choose to gain the Undead characteristic when affected by talents or spells that affect Undead(Nicodem Stat Card). Which gives Nicodem the Undead characteristic allowing Pariah to affect him, either allowing him to be hired or adding him to the pool of hirable models, take your pick. At no point does it specify that the talent or spell has to target Nicodem specifically. At no point does it say after the first activation phase. It says that if it can affect Undead he can gain the characteristic and be affected as well... You could give him Undead if Lady Justice uses (all)Restore Balance (why would you want to?) and have him affected by taking 3 wounds. Ive kept it as I read right off the card, and like I said before, please do the same if you want to reply, and tell me where I can find what your saying. I like to have a reference for when my friends argue with me. Imagine what you'll "know" tommorrow...
  25. Its funny only when I do it. If your gonna criticize me for what I have to say at least add something in the process. And now, its time to not be nice...
