    ToshiroSM

Really smooth. Might actually be my favourite Toshiro I've seen. The colours are really well chosen and the execution is really good.
  2. The dress is well done and the all in all cartoony style works. The axe could've used some more pizzazz, though, I think. Lovely wood grain!

    Mr Graves

Amazingly controlled work. Very smooth and atmospheric. The face looks absolutely amazing - really well done!

    Hanna

Super clean job! The book looks amazing and the weathering works very nicely.

    Rail Crew Web

A really nice display board! The train tracks looks amazing and the all in all atmosphere is great.

    Light in the dark

Very smart style and the OSL is certainly striking. The composition is interesting - the tilt makes it work!

    Rude Awakening

A clever composition. I really like how the vulture works here and Mortimer's expression is somehow just perfect.

    Ama No Zako

A simple scene but very nicely executed! The cold atmosphere has been achieved very nicely and it's very balanced. The pic is a bit small to truly appreciate the paintjob but what I can see looks very competent! Well done!
  9. I suppose that makes a certain amount of sense.
  10. Eh, I do agree that Photoshopping is silly but it really, really, really isn't a "1" paintjob. Luke gave it a seven and also mentioned the Photoshopping and I think that is a far better approach. But as a general approach to CMON: Don't pay it any heed! The scoring is superbly random and people often score the mini as opposed to the paintjob and such. Don't take the site seriously, because there lies madness.
  11. It's true! I was a bit surprised by it as well but it turned out that Gremlins really are okay. No way around it.
  12. Personally I'm thinking of magnetizing three Spiders for maximum flexibility. Once I get around to my Ramos crew, that is, which will likely take quite a while.
  13. A great report, once again! Thank you once more for posting these! Really interesting tables - cool themes. Damn that first game was BROO-TAL. Whew! Second one was interesting as it seemed like you were on backfoot yet comfortably in the lead the whole game. In the third game you show your true colours in the Scheme selection (Ten Thunders). But yeah, it seems to be a pattern in your tournament reports that the third game is the toughest (or is it just my imagination?). Very intense. I was totally rooting for you, though, so a bit sad at the result. Oh, and three Davids, that's certainly something.
  14. A great read - thank you for posting! I laughed out loud at the part where you wrote down something that could either be Hannah or VonSchill! I mean, the words aren't exactly close Also finding the Red Joker inside the case was funny. But congrats on great games. And I thoroughly enjoy your unorthodox crew compositions that you make sing beautifully. Great show!
  15. I've been cheering for Ant for quite a while since he made Ressers work in the first edition as well when they were considered one of the weaker factions so I definitely don't with to downplay his skill but I do think that in an environment as tough as that the Master choice does play a big part. In a more run-of-the-mill tournament a player can simply be head-and-shoulder above the rest skill-wise and win with whoever but winning the UK Masters certainly lends an air of legitimacy to the claims that Seamus is far from weak. Now, personally I have considered Seamus quite a strong Master all throughout this edition (and zFiend certainly plays a mean Seamus!) but I have read lately quite a few posts which consider Seamus as one of the weaker Resser Masters.
  16. All Arcanist Masters love Silent Ones. Marcus and Ramos might not use them in every list but for others they should be a serious consideration for an auto-include.
  17. I have played hundreds of tournament games and I don't think I would have ever ticked that box. I mean, there have been people who I wouldn't seek out to play with in a casual environment but no one has been truly unpleasant. I did once win a best sportsmanship award in a hundred-player tournament and it is one of my most cherished tournament wins, though. That's not a bad system!
  18. I've got to admit I was a bit weirded out, but now it makes sense. Hey, zFiend, I believe these feelings I have on Matthew Macchonaughey are actually yours. Can I give them back?
  19. All not-dead minis games are in beta forever and ever since there are always supplements in the pipe line. Malifaux differs in that it has used the open beta concept but I'm not sure how anyone could see that as a negative.
  20. Pandora is a really nasty match-up against Kirai. Spirits are especially susceptible to Pandy's style of pinging you multiple times for one damage.
  21. If you want to kill, e.g., Colette. She is otherwise almost impossible to kill but with Skeeters buzzing around her doing that, she is suddenly far more manageable.
  22. Mah support her crew better than Somer? Maybe if you discount the Skeeters (and even then it's debatable IMO) but I consider Somer one of the best support Masters in the game. With the abundance of Triggers on Gremlins Do it Like Dis is huge, Somer's card draw is nothing short of amazing and Encouragement is just altogether sweet. I'm actually hard-pressed to name a better support Master. Lucius or McCabe maybe. Shen Long? Hoffman, Colette, and Collodi could be considered such but they are so different from Somer that a straight up comparison is difficult.
  23. Oh aye, not Outcasts, either. But I'm not sure that Kang is such an autoinclude against Guild. I could see taking Hoff against Arcanists, Gremlins, TT, and Guild.
  24. Spectre admitted to peeking into bags. A bag is not a display board. I'm sure that Ausplosions would allow someone to loudly proclaim "I will be fielding the Hoff-ball all day, feel free to tech against me!" What he took exception with was peeking into other players' bags and falsely admiring their paintwork in order to just gleam information. What the hell?
