Gujozec
Yes I do, thanks for reminding me. Another Ronin and Belle:
Demonn Agram
LOL awesome looking minis! those two crews will be a real pleasure to wipe off the table
Gujozec
The henchwomen are done: More pictures here: http://carrionandhodgepodge.blogspot.com/2013/10/m2e-crews-project-madame-sybelle-and.html
Viruk
Good idea with removing the spikes from Sybelle's whip. They seemed a bit over the top to me and the mini just looks better without them. The painting is excellent, as always. I particularly like Sybelle's skin tone and the way you painted the shadows there.
Guardian
Nice! Sybelle is grose! I like it hahah
Gujozec
Thanks Viruk and Guardian! Yeah, the barbs on Sybelle's whip looked silly to me so I shaved them off. And the skintone is my favourite part of that mini as well. She's grose indeed.
Gujozec
Done with all the Belles and Ronins. So... group shots!
herrkuba
Clear and nice painting really like the colors of the Belles
Viruk
Some more fantastic work from you. I really like your style, smooth shades with a bit of extreme highlights on the edges. Great stuff as always, keep it up!
SpiralngCadavr
Really like the monochrome look you've got going on in a lot of the palates (black, white, single color)
Gujozec
Thanks! You can find more pictures here: http://carrionandhodgepodge.blogspot.com/2013/11/m2e-crews-project-all-ronins-and-belles.html This Seamus avatar was one of my Rotten Harvest entries, and now I can put him here as well:
Viruk
I like the dark, crude feel the mini has. Shame he didn't make it to top 3!
zFiend
The belles are really nice with the matching theme. Also that aSeamus is awesome!
SpiralngCadavr
The skin looks great on him, though I'm having trouble articulating why I like it...
RagingRodian
I think I actually like your Seamus better than my Seamus. If I remember right they were both in the Things That Go Bump In The Night category? I am really liking how much "life" you gave those Belles! I also like the painting on the Ronin even though I don't like the models themselves. Looking at their picture next to the Belles makes me appreciate the proportions more on the Belles and makes me wonder why the legs are so out of proportion looking on the Ronin. What colors are those skin tones? They look really nice!
Gujozec
Yes, RagingRodian, both our Seamuses were in the same category. The sickly skin of the Belles and Sybelle is basecoated with a mix of Tallarn and Rakhart Flesh, washed with watered down Agrax Earthshade, highlighted with lighter mixes of the base colour (I think I also put some Vallejo Off White in for the final highlights). The dark reddish colour you can see in some places, like where skin meets clothing, is a quite watered down mix of Mephiston Red and Abaddon Black, applied where I needed it in the end. Avatar Seamus' skin was done in a very similar way. Skin of the Ronins and other living men and women starts as Tallarn Flesh, gets washed with very diluted Agrax Earthshade and layered with several T.Flesh+ Off White mixes. I think that's about it. And now, Seamus time: That means my Redchapel crew is now done. Pop down to the blog for more angles of Seamus, and a couple of crew group shots. SpiralngCadavr
Wow, very nice Seamus. I was satisfied w/o getting the updated crew, but that really highlighted the movement in the model, so my will is wavering. The whites in particular work very well. Viruk
Hi face seems to be the focal point and you've done a really nice job there. He seems to be leering. I really like the browns and metallics but the white pants seem a tad too clean.
Demonn Agram
Great mini, I love the photo on your blog where you have the Pokemon Seamuses the white pants seem a tad too clean. Pimp Seamus LOL
RagingRodian
So you blend in Rakarth Flesh for a sickly look? I used the color straight as a base coat for zombie skin, but I didn't care for the color or how the paint behaved. Maybe I should try it again as part of a mix for some of my Necropunks? Gujozec
Thanks everyone! RagingRodian, yeah, you could give it a try. But the key to the look are the washes, I think.
Gujozec
Giant Viktoria of Ashes: And since I gave up on Viktoria of Blood because of the scale problem, this means my Hired Swords crew is now done as well (Puppet Viktoria will stand for Vik of Blood). More pictures, as always, on the blog.
Lord Shaper
Your painting is an inspiration to us all! Awesome as always!
Linus Mcmold
Your conversion to her jacket is invisible and that makes it so perfect. When are you putting your M2E Blood Vik on schedule?
Gujozec
Thanks! Well... probably never. I use the puppet in her stead. The next thing I'll be painting is a trio of Punk Zombies. They're assembled, their heads shaved, and they're waiting on my desk. I bought the Nicodem box in the Black Friday sale, and it's time to give it some attention.
