As someone who swears by black rims, I gotta say I'm really impressed by the coloured bases. Works very well here. The overall style and execution is brilliant and all the alternate models you have used work well. My favourite touch is the dice on the Stitched Together. Great work. You would, in the end have to base it in some way. Usually with a self made or purchased base insert (preferably those made by Wyrd themselves. I really want orange bases. And, I certainly feel that the translucent bases should count as more than just a naked base. They are sold separately and are painted a different color than just flat black. Yep the minis are just pinned to the base inserts, then after they're painted I just glue the whole thing into the transparent base insert. Thanks heaps for the feedback guys! I was lucky enough to come away from CanCon with best painted. There were some really nicely painted crews there too.
