  1. Yep the minis are just pinned to the base inserts, then after they're painted I just glue the whole thing into the transparent base insert. Thanks heaps for the feedback guys! I was lucky enough to come away from CanCon with best painted. There were some really nicely painted crews there too. Have made a start on the Lucas McCarbe crew now so will post up some pics soon
  2. Thanks man! All of the purple used in the crew is just Vallejo game colour hexed lichen. It is just wet blended with white. The blueish looking colour on the stitched and Dora is called coal black by privateer press P3. Hope that helps!
  3. Hi guys, I think I've finally finished my crew for this weekend! There are a few more minis I wanted to include in the pool to choose from just to give myself a few more options, but I'm happy with what's been painted. Let us know what you think! Pandora and her Sorrows: Stitched Together (gamble your life?? ): Crew as a whole: Cheers guys, GM
  4. Thanks for the feedback guys! I've been working on a few more minis over the past few days. Here is what I'm using as a Depleted. I wasn't able to get my hands on the new mini during Gencon so have had to use a proxy! 10 points to anyone who can guess where this mini is from
  5. Loving the dice idea on the stitched together. Might just use that idea for myself! (If you don't mind... Hehe) Also nice work on the sculpt. Looks very much like to oogy boogey man off nightmare before Christmas.
  6. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I was a bit sceptical about using the purple coloured bases having not seen them being used before. Was fairly happy with how they tied the whole crew together in the end. Given each of the minis I used were quite individual in their own right it was going to be a challenge to make them look like a cohesive crew. In the end the purples, greys and bleached bones did loosely tie them all together. @bigkid. Interesting your description of my style as "comic book". I definitely tend to agree! I try to use bright bold colours just to make everything stand out that bit more on the tabletop! Thanks heaps for the feedback! Will hopefully post up a pic of my stitched togethers and depleted in a few days. I'm also working on pandora as one of the games in this tournament will be a brawl.
  7. Wow very good and quite an effective use of colours. I'm particularly a fan of the OSL on the Death Marshals. If only I could push minis out this fast! Well done
  8. Wow that OSL from the torch is gorgeous! And the shadow painted up against the wall! The longer I look at this the more I pick up! Fantastic!
  9. Hi Guys, First time poster long time lurker. Here is the beginnings of my Jakob Lynch crew I'm using for a tournament in Australia next weekend. Hopefully can add a few more things to it this week before the time comes. Note I've used Collette's Avatar minis as Beckoners given the real ones have only just been released. I think their look suits Jakob's theme quite well, particularly with the playing cards for the one on the left. I also played around a bit with the airbrush on the Hungry Hippo. Pretty pleased with the results! Only got a depleted (I'm using a zombie from the board game Zombiecide given I've not been able to get my hands on this mini yet) and 2 stitched together left to paint and my crew should be close to done. Any comments/criticism/questions are welcome! GM
  10. Fantastic we made the right call. Cheers for the confirmation!
  11. Hi Guys, We had this issue a few times in a Tournament over the weekend. I did search and I don't think this question has been asked yet... I can't seem to find anything specific in the rulebook either other than that which I've quoted below. Say if you had the Treasure Hunt strategy (or a similar one) and you have killed all your opponents crew by turn 4 and you're yet to interact with the treasure counter to pick it up. Would the game end immediately because your enemy has been completely killed or would you have an extra 2+X turns without the enemy on the board to interact with the treasure counter and take it to your deployment zone? Based on pg 73 of the rules manual you'd say the encounter goes for 6+x turns and at the end of the encounter (i.e. at the end of 6 turns) you'd add up VPs. This is essentially the call the TO made however we had some players arguing the game ended once your crew had completely died... Cheers, GM
