  1. Ahh, I stand corrected. I did have a niggling feeling that copying Jacobs spells might be too strong. On the other hand, she still seems like a fairly solid back-up support piece...even without Jacobs spells.
  2. I've only played a handful of games with Lynch post-beta, but I honestly still like him better as Neverborn rather than TT. I feel like he gets much more mileage out of the NVB upgrades. (I don't think I need to explain just how powerful Nexus of Power is on HD, not too mention it makes Jacob that much more survivable so long as he remains in LoS. Soulstone to prevent damage/auto-squeel + Healing...awesome!) My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is that there aren't too many Wave 1 NVB models I feel mix really well with Jacobs (thematic) Crew. Besides the aforementioned Teddy, and the Doppleganger. I personally haven't tried the doppleganger yet, but Mimicking Something Like Final Debt, or Play for Blood make her feel like a solid piece to me. You could even use her for additional card cycling by mimicking Jacob's Mulligan Action. I also really liked Tuco with Lynch in 1.5, but again he's a wave 2 model, so until we see some beta statistics it's all speculation.
  3. That looks phenomenal sir. I love the dirty bottom of his jeans. Really helps to give him that rugged look. Keep it up!

    M2E Scale

I can confirm for anyone interested: The Ronin (sold separately from the Vik's box) are the same scale as the ones in the crew box. Giant Amazon women ahoy!

    M2E Scale

I'm curious about this as well. I bought the Ronin 3 pack, as my gf (who plays Viks) liked the new models over the old ones. After showing her the pic's in this thread she's kinda worried that her new Ronin are going to look gigantic compared to the older metal mini's that make up the rest of her crew. Can anyone confirm or deny that the 3 pack Ronin are the same scale as the box set ones?
  6. This is amazing! Why have I never seen something like this before??? Thanks for posting!
  7. I'm actually enjoying the new art direction Wyrd are taking with M2E. I think most of the characters artwork (I haven't seen all of it yet, just what's been spoiled on-line) makes them look more...dynamic? (not sure if this is the right word) The art from 1.5 always struck me as very static, just like the models themselves, it was hard for me to imagine how the characters would move just by looking at the art. For example: Did Lilith move like a woman on a misson, strong & with purpose? Or did she move like a sultry fire-cracker, effortlessly hefting her greatsword like a parasol? Those were the sort of questions I asked myself, and without the background Fluff it would have been impossible. I always enjoyed the art of Malifaux, but I think that had more to do with the setting than anything else. Who doesn't love demon cowboys! That said, the new artwork looks amazing in my opinion, and I'm really enjoying the new direction Wyrd have taken. The characters look so much more "Alive". /2c
  8. I'm loving the idea of English Ivan as a master. I agree that the little fluff we did see sets him up as a tricksy manipulator and gadget-man. Sounds perfect for the Arcanists if you ask me? Bring on the suave gadget man!
  9. Warmahordes is the same scale as Malifaux. (30mm, 40mm, and 50mm bases respectively) The Conquest in the image above is on a 120mm base, I think you're right in saying that wouldn't work in Malifaux.
  10. The prices would have to be fiddled with to get something that everybody would be happy to pay. The general idea was for an app that contained the cards, rules and some other features to make up for the cost of development and launching it. I think we can be safe in saying that if it were simply an additional copy of the rules/cards in pdf format, alot of people won't buy it. (Why do they need 3 copies of each card. Book. Cards. Pdf) Of course some people will, but making an app that has some additional features beyond a simple card library means Wyrd can make some money from it. Catch my drift?
  11. I honestly think that if Wyrd we're going to offer their Stat cards or rulebook online, it would NEED to be done in a fashion similar to PP and War Room. As someone mentioned above, there is very little (next to nothing) Wyrd can do to stop pirates from pirating the book/cards. It's likely already been done. However, if they released an App that contained an always up-to-date version of the stat cards & rulebook, a list builder, and a pre-game helper tool. (something that tracks scheme selection, Strategies, Deployment, etc) Plenty of people would buy it. I know I would. Say $5 - $10 for the app itself, then maybe $3 - $5 for each Arsenal Deck. (giving you access to those cards and any updates to those cards forever) Or similar to PP make the app free and each deck $10 - $15. /2c
  12. Australia here, #15832 Order placed on the 14th. Received the "Order Complete" email on 23rd. Hopefully before next weekend!
  13. I've always thought that Lilith, Pandora & Zorida we're intended to be Malifaux's version of the Mother, Maiden & Crone. So in a way they are actually the same person???
  14. Like others have said, I'm not sure how it works in 2.0 but frankly if a model can "float" through walls, buildings, etc, I see no reason why they couldn't "float" through the roof. and land on top. Who knows though, maybe everyone who's a spirit in Malifaux died from falling off of roofs, so now they're scared of them???
  15. That seems appropriate. Maybe a unique keyword for him "Unnerving" or something.
  16. These are excellent BRs. Very well written, I look forward to finding out what happens!
  17. Actually that's funny because it was the Call of Cthulhu that drew me to Lovecraft in the first place. However, out of all the stories mentioned in this thread it's easily my least favourite. (IMO kinda boring, but some awesome imagery) I second the consensus for a Mountains of Madness film. If anyone could capture the completely alien nature of the Star People things it would be Del Toro.
  18. Where can I read this? Is it printed somewhere and I just missed it??? Or is this from Gencon panels?
  19. Here's a few of my favorites: The Dunwich Horror, 1929 The Silver Key, 1929 The Whisperer in the Darkness, 1931 At the Mountains of Madness, 1936 The Shadow over Innsmouth, 1936 The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, 1941 I highly recommend finding a copy of The Necronimicon. (The Best Weird Tales of H.P.Lovecraft) Bound to be some excellent inspiration for TtB in there! Edit: @ Piranhamoose. I see what you did thar! Open Spoiler The Statement of Randolph Cater, Vagrant Vol. 13, May 1920.
  20. I don't think anyone really needs to worry As others have said, the wave 1 models seem fairly well balanced. Not too concerned here. While the fact that Wyrd staff have posted in this thread multiple times proves they're aware of our (OP's) concerns, and while no one is infallible, I'm sure they'll do their best to prevent any of the shenanigans we've posted about. It really is a wait and see thing. We'll know more when we get a look at the wave 2 models.

    Lynch 2.0

I can confirm Viktoria of Blood is no slouch at all! (They did fix the infinite Whirlwind bombs though)
  22. Can't wait for my Tara to arrive! Here's what I'm thinking; Outcastes: 50ss (Cache: 5ss) Tara 5ss - Dead of Winter (1ss) - Obliteration Symbiote (2ss) - Knowledge of Eternity (2ss) Karina 6ss - Long Forgotten Magics (1ss) Bishop 13ss - Scramble (2ss) The Nothing Beast 11ss - Voiceless Words (1ss) Death Marshal 6ss 2 x Void Wretch 8ss 1ss to cache Total: 50ss There's just something so appealing about a 4AP Bishop popping up in my opponents face!
  23. One more question, then I'll leave you to your reading. Have there been any major changes made to Tara, or are the cards we saw spoiled in Wyrd Chronicles accurate? -Thanks.
  24. Wow 0...really? Not sure how I feel about that? (and I play Jacob as my main) There were some concerns in the group I played the beta with that HD was too good for his SS cost of 3. I guess they're either balancing it vs the new revive mechanics mentioned earlier in this thread. (Bury, heal, Unbury, just like Levi) Or, they've changed some of his stats around? Is this the case? - Curious.
