Stonedog-7 Posted September 7, 2011 Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 OK, i've seen Von Schill pop up occasionally in non-outcasts lists as a henchman and it always surprises me as i personally am always forgetting about him So here i am, now flat out asking for peoples experiences on using him as a henchman in non-Outcast crews - is he worth the fairly hefty SS cost and special forces limits that then apply to the crew? - are there particular crews/masters that he would shine with? - which masters should avoid him from being too selfish with their stones or just want more synergy than he would give? - How good/useful are the rest of the Friekorps in other factions or is it normally going to be just Von Schill himself getting hired in? Posted September 7, 2011 Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 Iv not run von schill at all, however I can say that the freikorps librarian work very well with lady j and I'd imagine would make a great partner for any beatsticks who tend to get shot up on the way in.. Adran Posted September 7, 2011 Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 If you want a fast model, he's good. If you want good ranged damage he's good, if you want survivability he's good. He works well with everyone. He can get by without much soulstone use if you're already a hungry master but if you have any spare, he knows how to use it well. Necromorph Posted September 7, 2011 Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 Von Schill works great with a ton of masters. I personally like him a lot with Lady J. Not for his damamge, not for his utility (though both are nice) but as a resilient distraction to help LJ get into combat more easily. I never play Kirai without a librarian, they're a fantastic combo. Turn one if you have the cards turn her into a spirit with the lost love and enjoy. Ratty Posted September 7, 2011 Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 The problem is you have to choose either the Librarian or Jack Daw with Kirai... and Jack Daw wins the day for me most games. Von-Schill is very good, I've run him with Zoraida, he isn't immune to influence, so he gives you a solid model to obey. CannonFodder Posted September 12, 2011 Report Share Posted September 12, 2011 I spirit version of VonSchills in a kirai list is scary, Given takes 1/2 damage first , then the armor kicks in. Turn one he turns into a spirit, gets healed at least once. Use a SS again to max if if you feel like it, and then he is you point guy for the game.
