the lone bard
I remember a couple of weeks back i seen (i think) eric talk about a movie that inspired malifaux. And when i googled it i remember thinking "This looks awesome... and horrible" And now that i actually have bandwith again i'd like to find out what it is again. Also any movies that inspired the setting of malifaux or seem like they easily could have.

Boom
Now I've got that South Park episode with Cartman and Artemis Clyde Frog going round my mind As for the film, wasn't "La Cité des enfants perdus" (The City of Lost Children) you were thinking about was it? The Aethervox mentioned a film called "Alice" a few episodes back as well.
EricJ
I think the only movie I've talked about publicly which provided inspiration was City of Lost Children, although there are many more to various degrees

Xango
There is another movie of the same director (Pitof) called Vidocq, is very Malifaux and a MUST to every guild and arcanist players. Another weak recommendation is brotherhood of wolves.

twenty4seven
"Dark Portals: The Chronicles of Vidocq" Is available for instant streaming on netflix. Do you know if this is an alternate title for the first film or a sequel? It looks interesting.
PhineusPhule
"I Sell the Dead" is a good atmospheric horror/comedy for any Ressurectionist players out there. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0902290/
Thechosenone
For one, PhineusPhule, i like that avatar your rocking for your account, where's that from? Also, as far as movie inspiration Dark city has a very interesting and macabre feel to it. I suggest it highly

For any fans of the Guild I'd recommend the spaghetti western, Django. The main character has a major similarity to the death marshals. Deadpool
Sukiyaki Western Django is a great movie. In the words of Quentin Tarantino, "In the End I'm an anime otaku at heart." Edited July 11, 2011 by Deadpool
