  1. I really love the look of the Mannequin, but I feel my favourite master has been let down greatly by this sculpt Not enough Burlesque and to much wild West for my tastes. I think I'll use the old Colette mini and use this one as a extra Performer.
  2. How do all! I hope the Zombie Gothic Showgirls have been behaving themselves, I left them here to help spruce the thread up with a fresh lick of paint. I have bitten the KS bullet again and got myself the Zombicide S3 since I had no hope in hell of resisting that one (damn zombie addiction) and on Friday I got to see the prototype for the In Her Majesty's Name Board Game which looks good, but needs some tweaking as it currently seems to contain about 300 cards and the game takes a long time to play (Fridays game took about 5 hours!). I have been painting the odd mini here and there though, the latest being more survivors and zombivors for Zombicide, while I may not paint every mini I have for that game this year, I will art least get the survivors and zombivors done, heh.
  3. School... ummm.... nope, it was far to long ago for me to remember much from it. However, I do remember correcting my teachers a lot in mathematics, heh. Tonight sees the start of my Tuesday gaming group starting off a Squadron UK campaign where I am playing a sneaky heroine called Lady Fade who also works for a Torchwood-like organisation on the sly and is secretly spying on the other characters. Yeah, I never can play someone run-of-the-mill, I have to add some little twist. We tried out the system a couple of months back and it was fun, but have yet to do a proper game so we'll see how tonight goes. What I do like is that the GM is producing game versions of the local newspaper now and then covering the major points of local news
  4. ~Sips ale in the shadows whilst watching the thread pass me by~ Yeah, and you thought I'd disappeared, I was merely lurking, muahahahaha! Sadly the Gothic Showgirls all starved to death since I couldn't be bothered to feed them. However, good news is they are now all Zombie Gothic Showgirls! As for reality (it is still there, I checked), not much painting going on (I am way behind on my goal to paint all my Zombicide minis this year), but I have been playing a lot of Gloom, Eden Escape, Star Fluxx, Elder Sign, Chez Goth, Munchkin Zombies, Zombicide along with more games I can possibly list right here.
  5. ~unleashes the gothic showgirls on the thread again~ And you all thought you were safe again muahahaha!!! Hope all is well with everyone, I am still busy painting minis (this year my goal is to paint all my Zombicide stuff) and gaming.
  6. I'll see if I can get a few pics done. There really has't been any good light to get pics done lately, a shame really as I want to take pics of a fair few minis I've painted
  7. ~Carted in on a stretcher by various Gothic Showgirls, deposited in my comfy chair and hooked up to life support~ Yeah, still sick, but not as bad as the girls make it out to be. I am slowly getting better. Things have slowed down due to illness, but I have still managed to assemble some of my Deadzone stuff and paint a Dreadball team for myself (Void Sirens coz they're girls and play unfair, heh) along with another Deathwing squad (bringing the total to 57 painted Deathwing to date!). Shaper, that mini looks well nice mate!
  8. How do all! No much painting to report on lately, just a few things here and there. I have the Flu so not feeling to productive right now, just feeling to "bleh". However I have painted a few EM-4 Gangers, a Perfidious Relic for my Dark Angels and started plotting out my Malifaux church/cathedral ruins to get underway with once I am better. Heck, at least I finally finished painting my Viks crew some 3 months after I started it, heh. LotR Battle Game? WOW! Not played that for years now. I gave up on it when GW did the same as they always do in trying to push sales down our throats with War of the Ring (which had a terrible rules system, they should have borrowed Warmaster... oh wait, they couldn't, the owner of that game was forced to leave the company...) by saying we now needed 100s of models to play. Yeah, so I already had 400 Uruk-Hai from ebay off people that bought the Battles For Middle Earth magazine and resold some minis (which I eagerly snatched up when it as Uruk Hai), but it was the principle of that they had turned a skirmish game in to a battle game. I do like the new Elf rangers for The Hobboit game though, even if the price is ridiculous. Also, £15 for a single 25mm plastic mini? they are halfing a laugh... right?!
  9. ~Swings in followed by a regular assortment of Gothic Showgirls that all strangely look like the late Showgirl #66~ Afternoon and happy weekend to all! Also, don't worry about the girls all looking like #66, Nicodem gave them a little work And now... It's booze time! ~Lies under the Ale Monolith with mouth open and starts to drink heartily~ OH! And before I| forget, I have now finished painting my Viks box, Vanessa and Colette Avatar, plus I took time out to paint and base a custom order for a Hoarcat Pride (it only took about 2 hours total to do, so not bad). Next on my list of minis to paint... ORKS! HA! Yeah, that'll be the day, they've been waiting for me to paint more than 2500 points of them for eons so they can stay waiting, I have been promising to finish painting my Deathwing for a while no, or maybe get some more zombies and survivors done (as if painting 1150 zombies and 60 survivors already this year wasn't enough, heheh).
  10. Sounds like a good idea, I'd like to attend something like that myself mate. Heck, I may just arrange something like that for my regular gaming group. This year I hosted a 40k Zombie Survival game for a few people as a little bit of fun, but next year Malifaux might be worth a go. Heck knows I have enough stuff to do it with, might set it in a ruined cathedral or something since I have just ordered the foamcard to make a modular one to go with my graveyard terrain set.
  11. I won't be ordering until Saturday since I'm waiting on money from people since it's a group order. As I said I'd like some of the ltd ed. stuff, but it's not really what I'm after at the end of the day (The Carver would be really nice though, heh).
  12. Have they sold out on the metal puppets? I was hoping to get a few of those to paint up. Mostly I am after things for 2nd edition though and a rules manual for a friend.
  13. I'm good thanks Ed, I seem to be all "busy busy busy" these days yet never seem to do anything, heh. Still, video gaming and mini painting seems to keep me amused. Hmm... trying to work out what I want from the sale now... so many shinies I want, so little money!
  14. Afternoon all! I have returned for a 2nd day on the row after a long stint of painting last night which left me with completed minis of Colette's avatar (hopefully I'll get some pics soon). However, in the meantime here is a pic as a promised (threatened?) of me on Hallowe'en this year, I did tell people to be afraid...
  15. Things are about the same as always, strangely I've spent most of the last few months playing Borderlands 2 with Regnak when I've not been painting stuff or watching stuff (normally while painting stuff, lol). Now I've worked out the macro feature on my phone I'll be taking more pics of minis when the light is there, just that it's almost always pitch black these days (dull days and trees outside blocking a lot of light) and daylight bulbs seem to tint my minis yellow when I used them to take pics, lol. Of course, the Gothic Showgirls also keep me busy by supplying me wit ha constant barrage of ales. Also cut down a lot of smoking, I didn't quit though, that'd be foolish since I like taking a break from painting for a ciggy to rest my hands, but I did cut back by about 75% of what I did smoke a day. Gods bless those that invented the electronic ciggy... It was Cthulhu, wasn't it? Heck, Cthulhu gets the credit regardless (the Girls have their own little cult now and worship the Bones Cthulhu, bless their stripy socks).
