eturns
Whilst trying to acheive a rather optimistic painting challenge I have set myself this week I have mostly been listening to a lot of pink floyd and muse. It got me thinking, what do you listen to whilst painting?
LoboStele
Sometimes a podcast. Sometimes the TV. We have Netflix, so I can always find something that I only need to pay half attention to while I'm painting. For instance, on Sunday, I painted while watching the Super Bowl. Chucklemonkey
Was Sigur ros at the weekend. Early genesis sometimes gets a play. Whilst not music, I also find csi as a good backdrop for some reason.

Er1k
Second vote for CSI here (Las Vegas and NY, can't stand Miami) NCIS is good too along with Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Must be all that death that puts me in the mood for painting Malifaux. Podcasts are good too but there's not much Malifaux based stuff around at the moment
Mr. Bigglesworth
Netflix, whatever everyone else is watching. I use a fold out dinner tray to paint on so I can be with the family while I paint. Since I have to lug everything out which is a 10 minute process I don't paint often enough. I have a desk completely devoted for painting but have yet to use it, plus still haven't found the right chair.
LoboStele
Netflix, whatever everyone else is watching. I use a fold out dinner tray to paint on so I can be with the family while I paint. Since I have to lug everything out which is a 10 minute process I don't paint often enough. I have a desk completely devoted for painting but have yet to use it, plus still haven't found the right chair. Ahh, this is my other issue. Since I paint using the bar, it's too high for a traditional chair. The bar isn't designed like most though, and our set up in the room doesn't really leave room for bar stools, so we actually don't have any (really more of a walk up, grab something, take it elsewhere sort of bar). But I do have one folding stool that seems to be a perfect height for sitting on and painting there. However, that one stool gets used for other things around the house as well, and sometimes it gets taken other places as well. So, sometimes I get stuck without the stool, and then it's REALLY uncomfortable to paint at the bar. So that's also when I typically end up painting at the coffee table while sitting on the couch, lol. My dream set up would include a card table or other sort of desk area, with a really comfy chair, and then some sort of lamp situation behind me, with light coming from both above and just over my shoulder. Hmm...perhaps a lamp mounted ON the back of the chair.
Fetid Strumpet
I listen to alot of books on tape, or I'll put in one of the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes DVDs I have. Lately I've also put in episodes of Castle.

DangerousBeans
At the moment I've been watching a lot of Big Bang Theory, usually I'll watch something I can half-pay attention to. Occasionally a podcast or War of the Worlds. Or sometimes I just enjoy the quiet.
Kaane Feinwong
SG1, Complete series on Netflix. After this, I'll probably move to westerns for a week or two.
Clousseau
I listen to a lot of comedy via digital radio, and recently audiobooks. Saturday afternoon sessions demand 5Live (sports radio for the football/soccer). Music gets a look in as well, with any prog rock likely to be to the fore. Rathnard
Well I'm currently going through my cousin's movie collection (I'm staying at their place while I sort out my job in Bris-lantis). Last night it was Conan the Barbarian...not alot of talking in that movie. Podcasts are a good option too - especially Malifaux ones.
