Hatchethead
Stunning as always, sir Ratty. As usual your painting and color choices are amazing, and DAGabriel is right: Your bases are made of win.

Ratty
So after having them for a year I've finally managed to get some models finished. I've got the Big Bellowing Bastard done, Miss Molly, her pet Necrotic Machine and 2 more Crooked Men. YAY... Will get some photos up in the next couple of days. Currently working on Bete Noire and my last Punk Zombie and am about to prime my Ubume (which looks a really creepy model). I normally like to have be prepping the next models while painting the current ones. So which should I prep to paint after Ubume?
dgraz
I'd like to see a nice Drowned, but I think I'd rather see the Doxy so I voted for that.

Ratty
I think we might have got the Camera set up much better this time. I haven't had time to process all the pictures, but this one of Molly came out quite well
Ratty
OK so some more of the stuff I've been working on.. Molly's Machine. Soundwave
Just great looking, allover. The necrotic fluids in the syringes are a beast!
Ratty
And my the Crooligans which I went with a spirit-ish colour scheme to go with my Bete... WHO ARGHHH! I forgot to take a photo of before my girlfriend took down the camera rig.. Guess it will have to add it to the next batch. ---------- Post added at 01:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:18 PM ---------- Oh and don't worry, the Dead Doxies you voted for are next on the painting block Edited August 18, 2012 by Ratty
StormLordXIII
Hi Ratty, I particularly like the jade colored cloth on your Crooligans... the blue-green shade is very well suited to the vibe of the miniatures. Very cool! How did you paint it?
Darios
i like... looking seriously dead to me!
Ratty
It's a mixture of Black, Dark Angels Green, Shadow Grey and Iraqi Sand (probably Kommando Khaki in Games Workshop colors). It's quite hard to explain the mix as I mix by eye and it's not even consistent across the whole dress.
StormLordXIII
Thanks for the prompt reply, Ratty I was curious since I have the Molly box but have not yet had the opportunity to paint my Crooligans. I'm really glad you posted these pictures. It's always nice to see a fully painted crew ready for a brawl!

Well no Wyrd Rogue Necromancy yet as I have a proxy I made before it came out, meaning the official one is at the bottom of my painting mountain. Viruk
Great work all around, I really dig your style, you seem to find a perfect balance between bright highlights and overall smoothness. Really great looking minis, looking forward to seeing more !
Omenbringer
Another lovely batch Ratty, really like the look of Molly. Was the shine on Avatar Seamus intended (just curious since everything else seems to be a much flatter finish)?
Ratty
Yeah, I normally gloss varnish for protection and matt back afterwards, for Seamus I painted the matt onto everything but his skin as I wanted it to look like he was glistening with sweat. Omenbringer
Figured the gloss effect was for the look of glistening sweat. Great job again Ratty, I really enjoy your dark paint schemes.
