New Crews?

Would it totally upset the fabric of the game to have two factions sharing a suit? I realize each suit is tied to a particular faction, or moreso a particular aspect of a specific faction. Each represents a source of magic with a Sphere of Influence: "Control, Deception, Defense, Speed" for Masks (for instance). So long as a new faction identifies with a certain suit thematically, and is different enough compared to the pre-existing faction, I could see there being at least two factions per suit.

yeah I don't think that would upset anything and would be pretty cool actually. Or factions that are halfway between two of the existing factions relying on both suits and using both themes equally.

I think they could add new factions that have double suits as their gimmick. It is already done a little bit with individual models but I could see a faction that was based off two suits and then sort of taking combined aspects of the two. Basically I see the suits the same way I see the M:tG colors.

Do we really need a new faction this early on in the game though?

Also, to ProdigalPunk, the Outcasts have the double-suit thing already. Vikky is :rams and :masks, and Levi is :crows and :tomes.

I think it's way, way too early to add another faction, and I'd argue that an extra faction isn't really needed anyway.

At best, extra 'factions' are probably best done through the Outcasts. Right now the Outcast Masters have almost no overlap in their available models, practically making them distinct sides in their own right. Their playstyles also tend to fill in gaps left by the other factions/masters (So'mer = unreliable horde, Viks = specialists w. minimal synergy and Leviticus = Arcanist/Resser Suicide Master).

Basically, I don't really see much as to why new 'factions' couldn't just be incorporated into the existing Outcasts Faction instead.

I agree. One of my favorite things in MAli is that the Oucasts/Mercs/Dogs of War are actually fully supporteda and are a REAL army selection

I definitely agree with this. While I'm not at all opposed to additional factions in the future, it's a bit premature at this point in Malifaux's fledgling existence.

On other things i would like see is some sort of Anglic based Crew(the rightous Warriors of justice)

Possiblly added to either the guild, or neverborn (or even the at a long shote the outcasts)

Honestly, some of the speculation here is fun, some is a bit cliche, but the only thing I know for sure is that I have no idea what wyrd will come up with. I mean, if I had the names and stats of every single figure in the new book, I think I'd only have a reasonable chance of figuring out what they'd look like. Every single model released so far has surprised me in a good way- who thought that the Doppelganger was going to look like that? Did anyone call a zombie pug? all the detail that they put into these models pays off in the sheer number of gamers who buy them just because they're so cool looking. All I know about the new book is that whatever's in it, I'm going to be pleasantly surprised.
