  1. Collodi isn't supposed to look sinister. He was originally created to entertain Neverborne children. He only became "evil" because the humans freaked out at the idea of a talking puppet.
  2. Most of the home market 3D printers won't do it. If you want to do it at home, make sure you look for an SLA or DLP printer. Also, for Shapeways, use their ultra-detailed plastic. I've used them many times to make masters for costuming so can recommend them. I've also got a filament based printer (Da Vinci specifically but it uses the same technology as RepRap, Makerbot, etc.) and I can't print a model off of it (I tried to see if I could).
  3. What is the rules on doing competitions at the booth? For example could Wyrd host a painting comp at their booth with the idea being that they have two cases, one showing unpainted new minis and the other proudly proclaiming "These are minis painted by our players!!!" I know for me, I am much more interested in what a mini looks like painted by a random player and therefore a level I could see myself painting than a professional whom I could never match. If nothing else, maybe print out some of the pages from the Wyrd Chronicles.
  4. I don't know Wyrd's production methods but I've dealt with production in other environments. In regards to how Zoriada's card could be oopsied, the fact of the matter is the file the printer uses for Zoriada's box is most likely different than for the Neverborne Wave 1. When you do mass printing like that you just printed the pieces you need over and over so that they are pre-sorted after you cut them out into just what you need for each box.
  5. Got a spare Malifaux mini? Model it head deep into the spare mini, and done.
  6. I can tell you that one of the guys at my FLGS got a Lone Marshall this week that he has been waiting on for a while (this was week three of a League and he ordered it for the League) so I'm hoping that is evidence that Wyrd has started shipping again.
  7. Yeah, m FLGS has a big mansion (probably 18x24). We set it up once in the center of the board and flipped the strategy where you had to have models within a certain distance from a marker in the center of the board. Turned into an interesting room to room fight.
  8. @Bruglyother, I have the exact same requirement.
  9. This might sound like a silly question, but does the story have to be set in the Canon universe or can it be set in an alternative Malifaux universe. In other words, can the story fill in a gap in the history of Malifaux that Wyrd hasn't expanded on yet?
  10. Dear Wyrd, Please release this in the transparent smoke plastic you released the Black Friday Tara in. Thank you in advance, Me
  11. A good place to start is: http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com . One of the good things about Malifaux is that you can pretty start with any master. Unfortunately, other than some real high level stuff, the crews inside the factions are pretty varied. Is there a specific reason you chose those two?
  12. Found this at my local Hobby Lobby. It's a bit darker brown in person but looks like it would be great as a basing material: http://www.jttmicroscale.com/viewcategory.asp?DirID=164
  13. Am I right in believing that So'mer using Bigger Hat than you will give Old Major a reactivate?
  14. For the lanterns, Wyrd sells(sold) a pack of street lamps. You could get those and cut off the poles.
  15. I was just looking at the Ulix entry and it has Old Major listed as Old Mayor.
  16. For all of you who have 1st edition crews and want to try out 2nd or just learn Malifaux in general, we’ll be starting a Slow Grow League June 4th at the Foundry. League fee is $5 that will go toward prize support. Proxies and unpainted models allowed, though painting during the league will garner more points. The league will run five weeks, we will have gaming on Wednesday nights, but league play can happen on other days during the week. Full details are at the Foundry. For all of you who have 1st edition crews and want to try out 2nd or just learn Malifaux in general, we’ll be starting a Slow Grow League June 4th at the Foundry. 17. Was just reading Ice Tornado and wanted to make sure I was reading it right. If I target a model with Frozen Heart and then do Severe damage, they will take 0 damage, be pushed 3 inches, and then I still get a 3 point double blast? Sounds like a really great melee threat. Sure engage me, I'll hit my guy, cheat down, push out of engagement, you take 3 points and then I can activate the guy that just engaged and nuke you from range.
  18. I did find it interesting that they brought back the Alp bomb so I am very curious to see how this plays out.
  19. The original Seamus got me into Malifaux. I've always been a huge fan of the Mad Hatter and Jack the Ripper has always fascinated me. More recently it was the plastic Ice Golem. I ran Raspy as my primary crew in 1st edition but when I saw the new Ice Golem I just had to pick up the plastic starter set.
  20. Outcasts: Ring Leader (Master) - Support Master Weapons: Whip - Rng ML2, Trigger-Target is Paralyzed. Remove this condition if the Ring Leader uses the Whip attack again prior to the target's next activation. Pistol - Typical Peacekeeper. Upgrades: The Show Must Go On - Discard this upgrade for a healing flip. The Greatest Show in Malifaux - The Ring Leader may higher models with the Nightmare characteristic as if they were in faction. Lion (totem) - like Cerebus The Amazing Antoinette (enforcer) - High Defense, unimpeded, low wounds Creepy Penguins x3 (minion) - Terror (living) 11 The basic idea is a circus theme. The master is designed to be a support master maybe with Obey (come one come all, come do my bidding y'all). The totem is actually the melee of the group. The enforcer is designed around being the scheme person, very fast and agile but goes down quickly in a fight. The minions are your basic minions with a bit of a Pennywise feel.
  21. So you want a crew based on the staff of Wyrd Games?
  22. Have you looked at vinyl flooring tiles? They come in 1x1 sizes and a lot of different colors and textures. You can buy them individually at DIY stores like Lowes or Home Depot.
  23. You might also see them listed as armatures.
  24. Yeah he wasn't running any young. Thanks for the verification.
