pceretti
Greetings one and all! Two weeks ago, I found Malifaux in a local game store and fell in love with the figures. I bought eight starter sets and have rushed to get a couple painted to play the game. Here is the first one: So what do you think? Thanks for looking! DeafNala
Dang FINE looking minis! The bases are GREAT! VERY WELL DONE, Y'all! :fing02:
Peterdita
Awesome! great job with all of these. The extra effort on the bases and foliage really pays off! I'm almost done with this crew as well, so thanks for the kick in the arse.
pceretti
Thanks for the compliments! I usually do basic bases on my figures. I decided to try to mimic the studio bases as an exercise to improve my skills.
ork56
shame you rushed the pj, otherwise these could have looked really good just joking!! - very characterful. What did you use for the reeds/bullrushes and the tree stump?
Nathan Caroland
That's enthusiasm we like to see. Well done!
pceretti
very characterful. What did you use for the reeds/bullrushes and the tree stump? The reeds are green stuff. I pulled a strip out as thin as it would go and let it dry. After it was dry, I used a sharp exacto blade to cut the green stuff into the reeds. The stump is part of a branch from my back yard with green stuff sculpted around it for the bark and the roots.
Major_Gilbear
Well, it may be a speed-paint job, but they look really very good to me! Thanks for sharing

Baron M
Very nice! I like the green skin/red lips combo.. think Kev Adams employed it on the old school GW orks and goblins.
Gloom
I'd play these fellas - they look good. You have good line control - the paint looks a tad heavy, but that could totally be the pics and I'm not a very good painter, so take what I say w/a generous dose of table salt I especially like that you kinda broke out of the studio scheme and added black clothing. I really like the addition of the black hat on Som'er he looks good - good mouth on him too! 8 Starters??!!!! OMG! ...well I'm jealous! The minis are exactly what attracted me to the game as well - I've fallen in love w/almost all of them, which is bound to get me some wife aggro! I have the Legion of Sorrows box, and the Cult of December box. Once I get those painted, I'm heading for Seamus' crew and Som'er Teeth's box set! DangerousBeans
They look great! I've also found Malifaux inspires you to go the extra mile on models, I usually just do the old "drybrush sand in chosen colour, add patchy static grass, repeat" but all my factions for Malifaux have different themed bases.
