  1. Love the bases. Green stuff?
  2. The nurse with the boob cutouts is stock Wyrd goodness. No modifications on my part. The bases are all green stuff. I have been trying to improve my skills with each Malifaux box set I paint. The fishnets are just darker shade of flesh color and dark gray lines. It took a lot of time to paint them. Thanks for all of the comments!
  3. Yes. My son gave me up a couple for the greater good. Also, there's some tank wheels and bits from the 40K bin.
  4. Here's my Ramos group. Thanks for looking!
  5. This group was kind of a challenge for me. I liked how the end result, but I don't feel it is the best job I could have done. For completeness sake, here they are. Thanks for looking.
  6. I made my cattails by sticking a little piece of green stuff onto the end of a hair from a house paint brush. Leaves were made by rolling out green stuff until it was long and thin. After it dried, i cut it into strips using a sharp exacto knife.
  7. Here's my fourth starter set. They were a blast to paint and create the bases for.
  8. Well done! I debated using teal on my Lilith set. Bravo on the teal hair for the Tots. Really helps to tie in everything into a cohesive force.
  9. Yep, the stone part is the cork. It's a large cell cork that I bought at a craft store (Micheal's). There were three 8 1/2" by 11" sheets in the pack. I think it was $15. I'll NEVER use it all. I just broke off the pieces for the bases where ever the cork would break.
  10. I use the Citadel washes, specifically Badab Brown. I still use a triad of colors for everything, it just happened that I wanted to cut down some of the highlights I had on the coats. I've been taking pictures of my miniatures before hitting them with clear coat. The clear coat kills the "wash look" and helps even everything out. Thanks for compliments!
  11. Thanks for the compliments. I'm going to go back and hit the flames with some more yellow. The bases were made with a chunk of cork. I laid out a sausage of green stuff around the cork and then pulled individual fire pieces up out of the sausage. Once I had everything pulled up, I then went back to shape the fire better. Twisting some pieces around, sharpening others. I think it worked out good.
  12. The reeds are green stuff. I pulled a strip out as thin as it would go and let it dry. After it was dry, I used a sharp exacto blade to cut the green stuff into the reeds. The stump is part of a branch from my back yard with green stuff sculpted around it for the bark and the roots.
  13. This is the second starter set I painted. Please feel free to comment and provide any feedback. Thanks for looking! P
  14. This was a big experiment in the application of green stuff. I like the fire but I think if I were to do it over again, I need the scale up the flames. What do you guys think? Thanks for looking! P
  15. Thanks for the compliments! I usually do basic bases on my figures. I decided to try to mimic the studio bases as an exercise to improve my skills.
