Reckoning and demise

Dr4mis

Question

Hi I was thinking of a Jack Daw crew for reckoning but I've come up with those question:

How demise eternal counts forntheburpose of killing? Like in reckoning does it still count as been killed and after he heal so he is giving pts for reckonning? Or heals 4 when he is killed so doesn't count in reckonning?

Dry if I miss where it was written in the rulebook

@Adran So if a model have some condition, does it lose its conditions or he keep it?

It might help to have a look at the Damage Timing rules on page 54 of the rules PDF, because that puts into a sequence the various rules that Killed talks about.  (Step 6)

The short version is that being killed ends up being a process, and it's a process that can be cancelled at its beginning.  Almost all of the effects which cancel being killed are Demise abilities, although there are also abilities like the Death Marshal Recruiter's Grim Recruitment which will heal another killed model.

Being killed, temporarily or otherwise, isn't a default end rule for conditions or effects.  Those are all still going to be on the model when its gets removed from the game at the end of the process of being killed.

Under the rules for "Killed" (p. 25), it specifically says that if a model is healed when killed, it's no longer counted as killed.   That means that you won't get reckoning points for it.

Specifically if it was killed by being reduced to 0 Wds. If it was killed as a game effect, thay wouldn't work.

Solkan has given a good answer.

But in general there is very little that changes if the model is killed and then uses a demise ability to not die.

Conditions end at when their end time is, which is not " when a model heals from 0".
