Are Joker reflips cheatable?

In Cursed Idols, Jokers cause a reflip to determine where the idol goes. Can the player with initiative (who is performing the reflip) cheat this flip?

I don't see anything in the rules that would prevent it.

Even better, here's what rulebook has to say (pdf page 27 Waldo box):

Sometimes during a game you might ask yourself, “Can this flip be Cheated?” Yes, probably. There are two things that prohibit the ability to Cheat, though: -Modifiers and effects that specifically say otherwise. Everything else is fair game (or unfair game, am I right?).

Neither of the current versions of Cursed Idols specifically say otherwise.

Just remember that the reflip does not affect initiative, so feel free to cheat in low cards with impunity.

Quick clarification, I think: you only get to choose which player has initiative if you win the flip. You don't get to make the opponent go first AND place an idol.

Correct, I won the initiative and opted to go first
