Bumpasses
Anyone get any mileage out of the performer paralyzing for Ama's swallow? -GB
asrian
Should work fine. I get mileage out of Pandora paralyzing for Ama to eat things.

The Zinc Lich
I know that I am looking forward to running it with Outcast Ama, perhaps with good old Jack Daw and some Hanged...
Bumpasses
According to the rule book, paralyze expires at the end of that model that acquired its activation is over. So how would you ever get swallow you whole to work unless you used promising whisper which requires you to have a second model that causes terror. -GB
The Godlyness
But if a model already activated bump then it stays paralyzed till it's next activation. You could easily set it up to sirens call then devour with ama
Kadeton
Yeah, you need some way to apply Paralyzed outside of the target's activation if you want it to stick for the purpose of Swallow Whole. Promising Whisper and another Terrifying model is one way to do that, but the game includes many others as well.
ArcticPangolin
If they've not yet activated the Paralysed model this turn, they can always choose to activate it as one of their activations to end Paralysed, but this can be a tough decision to maek if other models that they are wanting to activate are in a tight spot too.
Linus Mcmold
Or you can also paralyze them after they have already activated... Or lure multiple minis into Ama No Zako or whatever with a good terrifying characteristic. Ressers, Ten Thunders and Neverborn have some high cast lure models... also a performer is a nice alternative. I use Ama with Molly because she has an alternative way to paralyze people which doesn't require Horror duels. Also do I remember correctly: does a model with slow who gains slow again becomes paralyzed, or am I just crazy? I love Ama no Zako because her devour like action allows you to sacrifice minis who aren't living, unlike Wendigo, Flesh Construct, Gaki etc. devour. stinkoman
does a model with slow who gains slow again becomes paralyzed, or am I just crazy? I believe that was in 1.5, slow stacked an you were paralyzed. not anymore.
furysblade
McCabes Netgun has a trigger which paralyses if they already have slow. (which the net gun also causes on a failed duel)
Zwergenkrieger
That´s why Pandora is a good pal for Ama No Zako. Not only can Pandora reliably paralyze models, her crew is also able to influence the opponents activation order, meaning you can more easily set up that opponent activates a model => you paralyze that model => Ama No Zako eats that model chain. Kogan Style
I love both of these models, but I never use them for this purpose. Performer is too slow and Ama wants to run round, hit things, drop scheme markers, make hazardous auras and occasionally obey targets. Performers are back line troops that ruin opposing schemes and lure targets out of position.
Rurouni Benshin
As an Outcast, pairing him up with Bishop could work. That is to say if someone survives Bishop's attacks first. *lol*
