  1. They look cool in their own right. But i don't think they really fit the theme of Malifaux (well what has been presented in the past). The more i see new renders, the more i'm wondering if i even understand the art direction of Malifaux.
  2. I believe that was in 1.5, slow stacked an you were paralyzed. not anymore.
  3. Need more shooty beasts. *looks at dawn serpent*
  4. So I've been playing with Marcus a lot lately (probably my problem from the beginning). i disagree with your points about it not happening often, but i do agree with everyone's points on the way the charge action is handled (so question answered, thanks!). on a side note: my regular opponent uses him all the time. i never really see tots. its usually large Nephilim, Lilith or some teddies positioned in a way that blocking the aura is tough. Saving cards, that's kind of funny. i don't get many hands when i have more than 3-4 cards over 8 (which is what i would need with my crew). and wasting my hand to get shots at one dude doesn't bode well for the rest of the turn . that being said, I've been coping with it and not giving up (Marcus can howl to help out). its not impossible, but it does make the game more a fate toss from the get go. i think its a pretty OP ability on a pretty defensive guy with a (0) and nimble, but that's for another thread (i'd like to see the play-test discussion). It would be pretty hard to balance since a shooty crew could just ignore it. I've just been leaving it to fate, though not finding games against him particularly fun, especially reckoning and squatters rights.
  5. he also can effectively take (all) your actions away. wp 14 can be a bear for some crews. and with decent placement you cant do anything about it. all for (0). a little broken in reckoning. So, ok, mancha is gross
  6. Ok. So then you are making 3 WP duels with Barbaros when within his aura and not charging him. that makes him so gross. its too easy to hide him behind guys so that you cant get to him. (almost unfun )
  7. I need a couple others opinions on the Charge action. so the scenario. barbaros/mancha have a challenge aura up. you are outside the aura and declare another target for your charge action. this target is within the aura. you dont flip for the aura cause your outside of it when the action is declaring its target. you are within it when you make your additional attacks. in the book it says it gens two new attacks against the target (that the charge was declared). are these attacks considered to declare the charged target as a target and trigger duels for something like barbaro's/mancha's challenge auras? the auras specifically state when declaring another target other than barbaros/mancha as the target. i've always read that the charge action is one action all together that combines a move and two attacks. not as an action that generates two more actions. if that were the case, you could interrupt those actions to do a (0) or something in between. you cant. though you can declare triggers and any additional attacks generated from the triggers in between each attack. it makes it a little unclear then. unless i missed something that says the charge action creates two new actions (which i dont think it says that). it is possible that any attack is called out to be another action regardless and targeting must be done. also, i believe this is the case with one of the Brewmaster's abilities in the FAQ. i think his is a little different because you have to be attacking him and he would have been declared the target of the charge action.
  8. been unable to find a barbaros on eBay. though i dont care for proxies much, i dont want to buy the lilith box just for him. any ideas? or would you think there is a market for her box contents (minus barbaros)?
  9. Throw into that mix the regular Hannah. Though not as tall, she is quite bulky.
  10. FAQs/Erattas/Misprints are easy to deal with as a Henchman. Its the nature of the game. out of scale miniatures on the other hand are not. i don't think i've come across that many in other ranges, and i play/played a lot of mini games from different companies. It is hard to defend when trying to promote the game to new players that are into the new look of the minis.
  11. Im no victorian road architect, but i find it strange that the cobblestones are diagonal rather than perpendicular to the road direction. (guess im used to the cobblestone roads i grew up with) other than that they look great.
  12. love the work you put into this. i was debating whether or not to do the weapon swap on dashel and sergeant. the new dashel has an axe in hand and a baton in belt. after seeing this, i think it will be ok to swap.
  13. I love the idea of these mats. coming from being a Zuzzy user, though they are great mats as well, i would love the ease and durability of these.. i will have to pick one up. one question, i noticed you do roads as well, would you be doing any other style roads? i am looking along the lines of cobblestone roads like the streets of malifaux, or dirt roads (simple western town dirt roads). i would love to have some easy roads that lay flat to add extra detail to a board. thanks, stinko
  14. whats your technique on the bases? it looks like just cork but roughed up and blended some how.
