  1. Doesn't colette prefer to presto-chango her doves anyway? So this doesn't hit her core play (although I know of course it is nice to have the other options). Ohhhhhh, but it is now 8" jump instead of 16". That's pretty wild, what a nerf. That's gotta be the biggest nerf out of anyone?
  2. Also wonder if we will get an option to select masters as an additional step in crew selection (as has been updated into the rules).
  3. Wil also be a heck of a tarpit. I'm trying this out tonight My Doxies aren't painted, so going triple Belle + Sybelle (not that Sybelle is painted >.>). My Emissary also isn't painted, but you know... Baby steps. Plus I might get a Seamus Avatar soon!
  4. Case in point - I was freaking out about the Dreamer nerf (since I used to play him in GG0). Then when i stopped and thought about how it changed how I played the crew, I realised that barely anything actually changed.
  5. Funnily enough, for my Dead Rider play, this barely affects me. For me, Dead Rider is all about the reap and the triple crow trigger on his Revel. Sure, it is one less damage now, but other than that it is still great (with the option of anti-demise tech!) Oooo, I forgot she can Shrug Off the Slow! That means I would still play Molly & Kirai if... You could summon her xD I'll investigate Kirai & Molly. I think people may be overreacting. Usually these types of nerfs don't end up breaking the crew entirely. They just go from "best at everything" to "good at some things." Especially Yan Lo, the biggest hit is to the stupid combos that most people don't even use in casual play.

  7. ES McCabe feels significantly weakened by the changes? It makes him more artifact-focused, but TT is better at artifcts. Althoughhhh Adventure Awaits makes it so all wastrels have their TNs reduced, no distance or LOS? That's so damn sweet!! Hucksters have the best 'stat' for secret passage in the game. Rough Riders can ride with me more easily.
  8. In MTG, brackets are reminder text. In Malifaux, they are usually additional rules judging from the other ones that have come up. So I would say you cannot target the original target nor this model.
  9. Just note you can't stack focus beyond +2 anymore, so no super-focused rat kings.
  10. For sure. Effectively it just makes my crew a few stones more expensive (to hire the Molly models) and I don't get Necrotic Machine... Still, probably a decent combo - although without the first turn mega blitz from summoned ikiryo, not sure it is that great either.
  11. Are you thinking soulstone cache? That can still be taken. Magical training is the one that increases hand size. Rider was nerfed so you can't reactive a model that costs more than 8.
  12. Ahahahahaha, this is amazing, the fact that he can't have focus + distracted is huge. That's part of how he gets enough positives to hit things with manipulative and still have positives left for crows. EDIT: messed up my math, he still can hit manipulative targets. But still, a blessing xD Cadmus summon changes also are a significant hit.
  13. Ohhhh, Kirai can't summon Ikiryo OOK full stop. That's a heck of a change, completely kills her as a second master I assume?
  14. I'm pretty keen to see more double masters action! Not sure I'll play double masters now that all the OP combos are taken away, but I see no reason to prevent the official game format now that it looks quite balanced.
  15. Thinking about it, back when I played Dreamer... I just played an elite crew that didn't focus on lucid dreams anyway, so I think he is probably still a strong crew. The only reason you NEED stitched is to cycle back in severes, but now Dreamer does that anyway.
  16. Ahhhh true, I didn't even think about that since I don't use the Marshal! Very sad days for the Marshal, that takes one of his important niches and just destroys them. At least those models can still scheme or do the lodestone, but that's not the same...
  17. Dreamer can no longer summon Stitched, so overall they were massively nerfed
  18. Focus also got significant nerfs (caps at +2, cancelled by distracted), so little models have more survivability
  19. He went from 2 attacks that do min 3 with decent utility to 3 attacks that do min 3 with better utility. This seems like a pretty massive buff xD
  20. Cadmus received a decent nerf: No more using summoned Eyes and Ears/Husks for strategy markers. Not to mention the exorcism trigger and other anti-summoner tech now works better against them
  21. How are people feeling about Lampads and Toshiro? The Toshiro change seems decent, just makes the summoning far more niche and now he is there to buff minions. Lampads... Still seems like they don't really have a defined role? And building in the rams trigger doesn't do much when the COST of the trigger involves them having burning (so you check before the burning is applied).

  23. I think the Yan Lo changes were heavily aimed at the Rebuild Corpus strategies. I think the crew is not as badly hit as Von Schtook? Also an amateur here though. Try out Pirate Molly with converted models or TOS models! yeah, although that might have been too weak. Most complaints I hear about them are around survivability. Just remove the armor and call it a day (or maybe the hard to wound).
  24. Sorry Graf, but you're a Molly player now. Come to the one true BYS crew! Personally I hate the Necropunk nerf as an outsider. Sometimes they'll just flip it whenever they need it, and sometimes they'll flounder doing nothing. At least with Archie he is producing value even on turns he can't leap.
  25. Yeah, I think I'm going to have to talk to my TOs and see about getting this adopted as the standard, since it has been left in the game and is RAW. But I'm a bit biased since I play bete 😜
