  1. The best way to get these types of questions answered is through our customer support so that we can discuss the specifics. You can find our Contact form here: https://www.wyrd-games.net/contact Another helpful resource is our Upcoming Releases page found here. The Viktorias Core Box is slotted for an October release, which, depending on where you ordered it from, can mean late October to mid November. Hope that helps.
  2. Hey Wyrdos, The Malifaux Third Edition rules translations are just about wrapped up. We're happy with how they turned out, but being that we are only English speakers here in the office, there's only so much double-checking that we can do. This is where our lovely worldwide community comes in. Before we officially launch the rules on our website (for free, of course), we would like some of our community members who happen to speak English AND another language to give the rules one last look. Essentially, if you speak one of these languages listed below, can compare/contrast the translated rules with the English rules, and can let us know the best phrasing to make these changes, we could really use your help. Here are the languages: Spanish French German Polish Russian Italian Because this is a super secret project, you'll need to sign an NDA. If you speak at least one of those languages AND English, and can provide detailed feedback on any inconsistencies you may find, please reach out to us. You can do so by following this link. If you fit the parameters we're looking for, we'll give you an invite within a few days. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for presenting your opinion without being overly negative. That's sometimes a tightrope that is hard to walk on. And I can see what you're saying. Our more competitive and hardcore players might want to see the latest and greatest on a weekly basis. Who doesn't like art and character reveals? But, sadly, that's not realistic, for multiple factors. For one, we don't just make Malifaux. Waldo's Weekly is going to cover all of our games. Not every TOS player enjoys Malifaux, and not every Malifaux player enjoys Through the Breach. That's fine with us. But we're still going to utilize Waldo's Weekly to talk about all of our game lines. And across all of those games, we have players of all types, ranging from more casual players who want to play a story encounter once a week or month to the most competitive player who needs to be at every tournament. Our aim is to accommodate all of those players - but it would be impossible for us to do that on a weekly basis. For future Malifaux releases, I would suggest bookmarking our Upcoming Releases page. That's the best place to see what's coming up in the short future. https://www.wyrd-games.net/upcoming-releases For far future Malifaux stuff, it would not make sense for us to show off new characters now. For one, it's a distraction for what's coming soon, and when they actually do come out, it might be a while from when we reveal them. That's just not a great strategy. If you're looking for art of characters that haven't come out yet, you can find those great pieces by scooping up a Faction book (or seven) or by downloading the Crew Builder app for free. Looking back on the last two months of Waldo's Weeklies (which is the same time frame as we used to have for a single Chronicles issue), we've shown off a lot of upcoming content, especially for The Other Side's Starter Box and upcoming Allegiances. We definitely plan on talking about those more in the future. We enjoy these special Encounters. They are a brief reprieve from the competitive space and allow our minds to relax and just enjoy a crazy game. We will definitely be releasing more of this type of content in the future, because we're not the only ones who enjoy taking a break while still enjoying the games. As for the other stuff you mention that you'd like to see, I'm in agreement there. But we'll be giving out news for that sort of stuff when it's ready. Our aim for Waldo's Weekly is to reach out to the community - sometimes that means a reveal and other times that means a new way to play, but it's never intended to be the channel we use to discuss those sorts of issues. Not every Waldo's Weekly is catered to our entire community. That's an impossible task that we're not even going to try to accomplish. Sometimes we want to have a little fun. If we didn't strike your fancy one week, keep an eye out for the next one. Or the one after that.
  4. @coolguyclay I definitely understand why you're suggesting that, but it would take a fairly decent amount of time to prepare that type of organization. For the most part, they are released chronologically, so hopefully that helps. Either way, we have released Tales of Malifaux's latest episode. Find out what happens when Titania and Nekima team up against Lilith, Zoraida, and the Dreamer in part two of Waking Nightmares! Tales of Malifaux 115: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/tales-of-malifaux-115/
  5. Check your messages. I just sent you your entry from the Rose Tattoo Storied Soundtrack contest.
  6. As much as I'm sure he wishes he was, Waldo is not a Faction.
  7. Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo made a new friend at the local Harvest Festival. Together, they went through a corn maze, picked some pumpkins, got their faces painted, haunted an abandoned barn, burned down that barn, went on a hayride, haunted that hayride, burned down that hayride, and then tasted some freshly made cider. They got along together swimmingly. If you’d like to meet Waldo’s new friend, the best way to do so is on the table. It’s a great time to mix it up and try out variant game mode. That’s right. We’re getting into the haunting holiday spirit with a special Malifaux Third Edition Encounter! In Night of the Harvest Men, one player will play as the Harvest Man himself and the other will try to survive his growing flock of corpses and scarecrows while simultaneously preventing the spectre’s harvest from being unleashed. Can you survive the Harvest Men? There’s only one way to find out. To set up the game, you’ll only need a spooky ghost or scarecrow model, a few 30mm Markers, and an opponent, then you’re good to go! Check out the Encounter’s rules and the Harvest Man’s stat card by either clicking the image above or clicking this link for a downloadable PDF. And as a reminder, don’t forget to submit your entries to the Rotten Harvest Painting Contest! Haven’t started yet? Luckily, you’ve still got time, but not much! Maybe the Harvest Man Encounter will inspire you for the competition. See you next week!

    Crew links.

Huh. Strangely enough, that link does not work for me (iOS user - brings me to the website just like you're experiencing) but does work for Matt (Android). He now has "Jar Two Boxes" Kaeris Crew as a Shared Crew on his app. @dzlier Hope this troubleshooting helps isolate the issue instead of further confusing it!
  9. Kyle

    Crew links.

In case this helps, I am not experiencing this issue. Here is a Crew I made, then successfully shared with Matt: https://m3e.page.link/iCjS I am on an iPhone and he is on an Android. Both of us are using the most recent version of the app. This Crew was also built with the latest version of the app, just in case that helps isolate the issue.
  10. We're back with another episode of Tales of Malifaux. Find out what happens when Nekima approaches the Fae Queen in part one of Waking Nightmare! Episode 114: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/tales-of-malifaux-114/
  11. Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo decided to get ahead of the game and started putting together his Halloween costume early. Before he finally landed on a decision, he went through a few iterations first: an evil penguin, an evil goat, an evil potato, Danny Devito, an evil Danny Devito... but after ripping apart every leftover scrap of cloth in our warehouse, he put on a white and red shirt, some jeans, and a beanie. We haven’t been able to find him since. So while Waldo gets into the festive spirit, let’s reveal some spirits of our own with a new unit in the upcoming Starter Box for The Other Side: Enslaved Spirits! Whether in a full ghostly Company or as a part of an Envoy, the Enslaved Spirits are a pivotal piece to any Court of Two force, particularly one that is being led by Kirai (more on her role in The Other Side in the future!). At a relatively low cost (just 5 Scrip), the Enslaved Spirits are doing what the Court of Two already wants to do and improves upon those mechanics (and in some instances, twists them just a bit). Not only are they a great way to keep your Champions alive at an increased distance with the Chained Ability, they’ll also be dishing out some decent damage in both melee and ranged combat. Once you get them into Glory, their Lethal Curses are going to become as brutal as the Action’s name suggests, as the Court of Two will have plenty of Reinforcement Tokens to help increase their attacks. Speaking of Glory, let’s look at how the Court of Two will be getting there by checking out their Allegiance card. When a Court of Two unit activates, all it needs are two Reinforcement Tokens to grow in power. When considering their other Allegiance Abilities (as well as some other tricks up their sleeves), these otherworldly spirits are going to continue to haunt the table turn after turn, with some units growing more powerful as others begin to fade away. Once again, we’ve got more to talk about this week. You’ve all been clamoring for more information about our Special Orders for Malifaux Third Edition, and we’re finally ready to pull back the curtain and reveal exactly how it’s going to work. For those who are unfamiliar, our Special Order program is a way for us to help out our veteran players (or new players who happen to own some older M2E models!) by allowing them to scoop up individual new models that have been bundled with our existing ones. For example, if you already own Banjonistas but want to get your hands on a sweet Georgy & Olaf model, you can get your hands them by themselves by ordering them through your local game store. There are some caveats and exceptions to this, so for the full breakdown of how the Special Order program works, head here. The Special Order program itself will begin next week (as far as actually ordering these specific models), so let your local game store know about the program today! Before we’re done with this Waldo’s Weekly, though, we have some reminders! Rotten Harvest is back! We’re running our favorite painting competition again, and you can be a part of it right now. Head HERE to find out more. Does seeing the Enslaved Spirits and other content for The Other Side excite you for the future? If you want to be a part of helping us shape the content of TOS, become a playtester! We just opened up playtesting again, and would love to hear your feedback. To find out how, visit our post HERE. That’s it from us. See you next week!
  12. I can empathize with your frustration, but as we stated numerous times, we sold out of the initial print run of our core rulebook. We are already working on a second print run, but that takes time. We cannot make a distributor order our products - we can only provide a suggestion. Our core rulebook (minus Malifaux's lore timeline) is completely free on our website, and we encourage anyone who is still waiting on theirs physical copy to use the digital version in the meantime.
  13. We will have an announcement that will cover all of the details on the Special Order program this Wednesday. Sorry for the wait!
  14. Earthside Echoes is our brand new lore podcast for The Other Side! This podcast will cover both the setting and the stories from the current and future books. If you haven't yet familiarized yourself with our fantastic large scale wargame, or simply want to find out more about what is happening on Earth while the chaos continues on Malifaux, make sure to give it a listen! Earthside Echoes will be released on a monthly basis on the first Monday of every month, so keep an eye out for future entries. You can find a list of episodes below. Episode 01: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-01/ Episode 02: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-02/ Episode 03: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-03/ Episode 04: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-04/ Episode 05: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-05/ Episode 06: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-06/ Episode 07: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-07/ Episode 08: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-08/ Episode 09: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-09/ Episode 10: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-10/ Episode 11: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-11/ Episode 12: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-12/ Episode 13: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-13/ Episode 14: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-14/ Episode 15: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-15/ Episode 16: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-16/ Episode 17: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-17/
  15. Update! The M3E Crew Builder app is now available on Apple's App Store. Make sure to give it 5 Stars. 😉 Enjoy!
  16. As stated in the testing forum when it was brought up there, this is intentional due to size constraints. If we included cards in the app of similar quality to the ones that we offer on our website, the app itself would be over 4GB for anyone who wants to look at all of the cards (which, based on initial data from the first 24 hours, is the majority of users). Sometimes compromises have to be made. In this instance, we saw requests to lower the size of the app because of hardware limitations (and software limitations, such as speed). Personally, if the question is whether to create something high end that can only be enjoyed on limited hardware vs. something more standard but can be enjoyed on just about every piece of hardware, I'm going to choose the latter every single time. Card quality was reduced and download features and options were included so that everyone could enjoy the app. When considering that more cards will be added to the app in the future, therefore increasing the app's size over time, making the cards readable but not that of our printed quality was the decision that was made to accommodate the majority of our playerbase. Luckily, we provide the cards on our website and via the app for free, so there are options for those who want access to the cards at various qualities without having to purchase them.
  17. You (the creator of the network game) generate the Match code. They (your opponent) would then click Join, then choose Network, and would then enter in the Match code you generated. Touching the code isn't changing the code, exactly. It's kind of showing you what's going on behind the curtain. If saying the icons is too awkward/clunky, you could just say the letters instead to your opponent.
  18. Thanks for the clarification. Paging Dr. @dzlier to see this light theme quirk.
  19. It might be a little confusing at first, but there actually is a way to do this. So, if you press Owned on Amina Naidu, for example, and want to build an M&SU Crew, then just select Toni as your Leader, and press the Owned (the check mark icon) filter to see only Owned models. Our database is on Google, so unfortunately, there's not much that can be done about this. We don't have any plans currently to add the older art to the app, and this is mainly due to sizing limitations. With all of the cards downloaded right now, the app is already fairly large. Luckily, we include the M2E cards elsewhere, such as the Faction Packs and on our website.
  20. I'll let everyone know as soon as I do. It won't be its own Waldo's Weekly, though. It'll be just an update to this thread, so keep an eye out.
  21. Alt models will be adjusted in a future update. We have no plans on adding older 2e cards to the app at this time. The reason behind it is a space issue. Luckily, all of the cards are still available on our Dropbox (at a whopping 4GB for all of them). It is its own thing that is for the app and the app alone. It comes in handy for a few things, such as if you had multiple devices and wanted to save your Crews across them.
  22. On what screen? If you're building a Crew and you added someone on accident or decided that you don't want to include them, make sure that you're able to edit the Crew first (select Edit Crew if it's already fully built), then swipe to the right on the model's name.
  23. Hey Wyrdos, This week, we took Waldo shopping. To make him feel comfortable in this digital age, we decided to take him somewhere closer to his own comfort level: a desolate ruin where the people fight for scraps and attention called a “mall.” After the umpteenth request, like “can I help you” and “do you need a hand with that” and “don’t eat that” and “please stop burning the merchandise,” Waldo just about got his fill. That was until we stumbled into the food court. We’ve never seen Waldo more excited. So while we try to drag him away from the pretzel stand, let’s go over the next big thing for Malifaux Third Edition! You might remember our announcement a while back about the Malifaux Third Edition app and its beta. Well, thanks to our incredible testing community who found bugs and suggested features, we (well, mainly our dev and fellow community member, DZ) managed to put something together that we’re quite proud of. Today, we’re announcing that the Malifaux Crew Builder app is now available on mobile devices! Here are some of the exciting features that you can expect with the Malifaux Crew Builder: Read all of the latest Wyrd news, such as this very announcement! Listen to Breachside Broadcast as you’re playing. View all of Malifaux Third Edition’s game cards (which includes Stat Cards and Upgrades). Reference information on Deployments, Strategies and Schemes, Conditions, General Actions, and the Core Rules. Build Crews for games of all types and sizes. Share those Crews with your friends via QR Codes or direct links. Start and join games, both locally and via a network. Track game information such as Victory Points, Health, and Conditions. Create an account and use that account to sign in on multiple devices, giving you access to the Crews you built. And much more! Did I mention that the app is 100% free? Every card, feature, and update is available at absolutely no cost to you. Don’t have a mobile device? Don’t worry! In the near future, we will also be providing a web version that can be accessed on any PC, which will include the same major functionality as the mobile version (hardware capabilities permitting). Don’t have a PC or a mobile device? How are you even reading this? You can download the app on the Google Play Store right now, and will be available on Apple devices very soon (it's going through approval as you read this). EDIT: the app is now also available on Apple's App Store, too!
  24. The latest episode of Tales of Malifaux is now available! Find out what happens to Ramos in Part 2 of The Price of Freedom. Episode 113: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/tales-of-malifaux-113/
  25. Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo saw an ad in the breakroom for an Open “Mike” Night hosted by one of our warehouse associates and decided to head over to the local comedy club. After hearing one too many “can you believe the food they serve on airplanes?” jokes, Waldo started to realize that this was not, in fact, an all-you-can-eat buffet. Now we have to hire someone new. RIP Mike. So while Waldo is picking meat from his teeth, let’s take a look at another unit in The Other Side, the Guild Mages! In the upcoming Starter Box for The Other Side, the Guild and the Court of Two will face one another on the battlefield, much like they did in the Scars That Teach story. Will the battle unfold in the same way as the story did with the Court of Two and their ghost army walking away victorious, or will the Guild Mages find a way to cast aside the spirits before they can cause too much chaos? In the Starter Box, in addition to the Gatling Gunners (previewed in a previous Waldo’s Weekly), players will also have access to a unit of 3 Guild Mages. At a cost of 6 Scrip, these authoritarian sorcerers are going to wreak havoc on the opponent in ways that they might not expect. Yes, the Guild Mages are going to be dealing out magical attacks in the form of Elemental Blasts (and when in Glory, the Trigger on that Action is particularly explosive), but that’s not the only trick up their sleeves (despite the fact that they’re not actually wearing sleeves). It isn’t their Soulstone Defenses or card draw shenanigans that make them worthwhile on the table (though they certainly don’t hurt); it’s the Rule of Law, which is one of the few Objective Marker manipulating Actions in the game. Repositioning an Objective Marker from the Centerline in a Scavenge Operation can be a huge point swing with a single Morale Action. This week, we’re also going to take a quick look at the Guild’s Allegiance card, which provides some unique benefits in comparison to its Envoy cousin. Should a player decide to run the Guild in a one Commander game, they’ll be rewarded with a few potent effects that can’t be found elsewhere in The Other Side. Woe to the Conquered allows the Guild to take out models they themselves cannot bring to the table with relative ease: Titans. After already making an enemy unit flip or discard an Asset, a friendly Guild Fireteam may take a melee or missile Action, which can be particularly devastating if you are also bringing a certain fire-slinging Guild Commander to the table (more on her in the future!). The Steady March of Tyranny allows for this projectile-focused Allegiance to move a bit when they declare the Focused Effort Order (or get an Inspired Token from somewhere else). This allows for Guild units to line up a shot or get out of range from one with relative ease, even without spending the Inspired Token. Whether you bring the Guild as an isolated Company or supplement another Allegiance, those that don the red ram’s head are as explosive in The Other Side as they are in Malifaux.
