  1. Just finished another game with this list. A friend wanted to try Poison Marcus list, so it felt right to play a Burning crew Strategy and schemes were flipped after crew composition, this time. He played: Marcus: both new upgrades, howl (5ss) Scorpius Rogue necromancy: pack leader Rattler 2 poison gamins 3 canine remains Headhunter, standard with CJ, leave your mark, accusation, undercover entourage, show of force. I took leave your mark and entourage on Firestarter, he took show of force and undercover entourage on Marcus. Finished 10-8 for me. The crew did well, with Firestarter doing his usual stuff (schemes and surviving) and (again) underwelming performances of gunsmith (killed on turn 2) and mage (engaged by marcus and killed by combo-poison). This time Ramos really shined. On T1 he pushed toward EC, summoned 3 spiders, moved and oneshotted a undead dog red jokering the dmg. On T2 (+1 dmg) he moved and killed the scorpius . On T3 (+ on first duel) summoned 3 spiders in base contact with Necromancy and put a lot of hurt onto it, nearly killing the 3 headed monster. On T4 (+1 dmg) hurted a poison gamin, failing 2/3 of the shoots. On T5 he killed the last poison gamin (magnetism + medium dmg on electrical fire), moved and took its head. All of this he never stopped jumping on the board. Really mobile and funny. Byez
  2. It is. @frostwolf428 yeah, that's always been my regret too. Tried something in the past, but this new upgrade was the momentum i was hoping for to change my ramos' playstile.
  3. Hi there. A little bored of Ramos' traditional playstile, his new upgrade was really appreciated and I tried to male a crew who could work well with it. Thinking of a "beater" Ramos, I opted for Leviathan Power Core, Powered by Flame and Arcane effigy, making him do with little set up a virtual 5/6/7 dmg. Not bad, isn't it? Rest to the crew is born to abuse the Burning condition; every model can give or use Burning in the right circumstaces. Ramos: Leviathan Power Core, Powered by Flames, Bleeding Edge, 6ss Arcane effigy (scheme runner, gives Radiance) Firestarter: IE (scheme runner, gives Burning) Gunsmith (++ on duels against burning enemies) Oxfordian mage: "+1books upgrade" (gives burning/slow/push) Fire gamin (gives burning, +2 burning against enemies near Ramos) Rail worker (punchy model, can do damage equal to the Burning) Rail worker Electric creation (turn 1 scrap and 6" push for Ramos). Ramos use his Magmetism to reposition and likes to be in the middle of the action, buffing his construct (regen and burning). Summon the Swarm only as a side ability when needed. Arachnids are sweet when they engage some model and gives them -1 def. Tired the crew last night and was really fun. Against Frame for murder Burning is always a great idea. Ramos spent T1 going in position and summoned 2 arachnids. T2 (+1 dmg) wounded badly a Rougarou in cover and gave him Burning 4; Gunsmith activated then and put him on 1 wound. Burning made the kill and gave me 6 points (Quick Murder for me, no frame for murder for the opponent). T3 (fast) summoned 1 arachnid to engage Dreamer, magnetized out of combat and shooted three times The Claw. On T4, with Dreamer's death, oponent conceded. Quite a wall fo text, uh? Fine, I'll stop here (for now). Wanted to share my experience, hope is not too unenjoyable and sorry for grammar errors, english is not my language! Byez!
  4. If your problem is htk and htw the answer is simple: Joss' axe. Even without enemies with those two defensive rules: Joss is the Answer. Really, i basically never leave home without a Joss in my Ironsides' crews.
  5. Oxfordian mages trio and warding runes on Toni should resolve the black blood problem. Other than this.. try to change playstyle: less models clumped together near molly or a solo-Toni tarpitting everything for while she can, maybe rushing in molly's face to increase the pressure on her. Then.. do your schemes and try to undo your opponent's. And, of course, Toni's new upgrades are very sweet.
  6. Aah ok, thought of a more complex way i missed xD. Althought i see this as an effective delivery, it brings to me some doubts. 1-seems very easy to read for the opponent and predictible where she will go. 2-Lot of set up At the end, Toni could move 15" +6" place on her own.. in a normal game this should be enought i think.
  7. Wait a moment. How can you build up 6 adrenalines on start t2? I can see 4 adrenalines (2 from new upgrade and 2 from emissary).. but 6?
  8. I just tried Toni with her new upgrades vs the new punchy-dreamer and.. wow! What a blast! She activated as my 1st model in turn 2 with 3 adrenaline, charged the just summoned Lord Chompy, left him on 1 wound and killed a half-wounded Teddy. Then engaged Chompy and 2 other models, Challenging nearly the whole enemy crew. Very effective and very funny!
  9. I played Samdeep more without mages than within, honestly (for the little I've played him). I've played with some success this one: Sandeep: command, seize, arcane reserv. 6 ss Carlos vasquez: stunt, practiced Johan: well reharsed Union miner Large arachnid Ice gamin Wind gamin Malifaux raptor Malifaux raptor I like Johan, miner and arachnid tag team a lot. They buff and sinergize with each other, giving carlos schemes for PP. Of course raptor were before last errata. Havem't played him since a couple of months. Heard of someone using Myranda-berus and incorporeal-hank successfully. Never tried that.
  10. Should be cool with Ironsides too. HPM seems tons of beating with it. And You lookin' at me increases its mobility. I usually play a fire subtheme with Toni (union miner, gunsmith and/or message from the union), so setting it afire should be easy. And Post-errata-Toni doesn't need tomes anymore. Railgolem really really screams IRONSIDES to me. Unfortunately I don't like its sculpt.
  11. I just finished assembling my Dark Carnival Coriphees and was wondering if anyone has ever used them as the secondary beater in a Ramos' crew. The duet costs a lot and don't leave a lot of SS remaining and is another piece with armour as primary defence.. but it's very fast (25"ish threat) and hits pretty hard. Was thinking something like: Ramos, UP, Seize the day, Bleeding Edge Tech. 5ss Brass arachnid Joss Hank: IE 2 coriphees Mobile toolkit. Very straightforward, very fast.
  12. Don't personally like Rail Golem with Ramos; I find them to be too tome-hungry. Prefer the Emissary, even thought it's not so punchy, or Lazarus. Imho
  13. That's a pity.. their artworks are really cool. The same thing happened with the Swine-cursed: seen the artwork, said Wow! Seen the sculpts.. didn't buy them. Speaking of artwork.. Am I the only one who has seen a third draugr artwork in the book? I believe there was a bearded (or something) third one.. a
  14. That was my plan too. Could be interesting, but card heavy, having two of them buffing each other. They seem to be an excellent summon for Nicodem and a good thematic piece for Reva.
  15. Pin it and hide the pin with something (rock, other models,..). Did it for it and for hank. Very solid.
  16. To keep a lowish budget i'd say: Johan Large arachnids Arcane effigy Mecha porkchop Effigy and porkchop are at the moment my auto-include for Mei's crews. They give her so much. Johan is quite brutal and has a great heal in a M&SU crew (as Ramos' ones are). Arachnids provide a lot of scrap via Creative Savagery, useful for both masters. To add something untold by the others (it seems reading the thread fastly).. I enjoy burning sinergies with Mei. Gunsmiths give her a good shoter, firestarter provides burning for her and gunsmiths, effigy do.. her job, rail golem likes to be charged of burning the first turn.. non quite the best way to play her.. but fun. Kaeris could be a 3rd cool all around flying master
  17. I pinned them and made holes on the bases. 0 money in magnets, easiest way and still decent effect.
  18. I give Message from the Union to Toni all the times i'm not listing the mages trio, and there is always at least a Gunsmith in my Toni's crews. I do enjoy using fire sinergies, but not make them a priority. The most "burny" crew i've used was something like Toni with MFTU, ox trio, firestarter, two gunsmiths and johan. I find Message from the union very useful when FFM is around. Cannot say about toni's kaerisness because I don't own the winged girl, but i'd say their role are quite different (think jordon made a good point). My 2 cents, bye

I'd add also: In his crew the only model who will be virtually for the majority of the turns into 6" of Ramos are Large Arachnid and some steam arachnids (hank, cerberus and miner will be usually not near enought probably), so FG would not be used at its maximum. I like FG, but use it when play more "swarmy" ramos list: no big beater and lots of lesser models (played in a bubble around Ramos). The reason why not take joss could be his price and relative slowliness. The list is quite aggressive and taking joss would have meant not to have Soulstone miner. LA is a good substitute for starting the spider factory on T1. Well, i'm not mythicFOX nor really a good player, so.. that's just IMHO.
  20. I'd say trying to kill her ASAP should work better and in gremlins it's available in nearly every crew. Burt (or francois) + iron skeeter should be the right tool. Huge threat with up to four 4-minimum dmg attacks targetting her average def. Imho
  21. So, just because Sandeep is the only one left behind. Sandeep Desai: commands, arcane reservoire, enlightened soul. 6ss McTavish Carlos: stunt double, PP Johan: well rehearsed Union miner Large arachnid Malifaux raptor 7 to 10 models, 3 models with a 3" engage. (4 with bonasuva) McTavish has a good gun to counter-sniper enemies and his aura should be quite good against TT (no focus or defensive). Union miner provides schemes for johan's mobility, arachnid's [+], PP and McTavish's gun. Arachnid, Miner and johan (and summoned metal gamjn) are all M&SU for their buffs and johan's heal. All schemes should be quite easy, depending on the opponent. Cover br.. and Dig their.. easyier than others.
  22. I don't own Pigapult but played Lenny and his upgrade for a while within a Somer summon list and I find him not so unreliable with tomes baked in. Of course it will not happen every turn (as you need a tome and a couple of 7 and in critical moments you'll need masks and rams with Do it like this!), but summoning 3 models in a game (plus the gremlins sumoned by somer) is quite useful. Imho.
  23. But for Enlightened soul you have to not take seize the day, an upgrade I find nearly auto-take when i have a hight cost beater deep into the enemy lines. I'll give a try with him, tought. Surely I'll do
  24. But he's a enormous target. And dictates the game with his success or failure. Don't like it, sorry. I know he's good at killing and he's fast (and that the crew has lures to reposition him), but dies realtively easy for his cost too. Imho. Myranda.. never bought marcus' box. He's one of the three arcanist masters i don't own and i'm not interested to play (with raspy and kaeris). Can't judge her, but i see her power (and had played against her some times). Really i've only recently bought malifaux raptor box. Not liking their models, they was low in my priority. ?
  25. Honestly i would nit play Hank. I dislike him being so pricy. Not that i think he's weak or somethung, but i dislike playing super beater. I prefer two middle-class beaters. In his place I'd take a Union miner (levely sinergy with PP, good schemer, burning for FFM and good sandeep's blast attack with his in-built [+] to dmgs) and Johan with Well rehaersed. Here we have a lot of good sinergies: johan and miner buff the other one being M&SU and the false claims markers give Johan good mobility. I like Arcane Effigy with Sandeep but I'm finding less and less space for it in my lists, as I prefer something with [+] for the beaconed arcane storm (or its name..) and in the 4-class models I really need a hired gamin for bonasuva. Actually I'm gonna try this list in the next games (when learning a master I tend to use fixed lists or nearly-fixed ones): Sandeep: arcane reservoire, Commands, seize the day (but I'm not very sold on this last one). 7 ss Baritone Lola=Cassandra: PP (don't have Carlos, yet) Johan: well rehearsed Union Miner Large arachnid Ice gamin Rail worker Malifaux raptor Malifaux raptor Surely is less punchy than Hank+Myranda+Bonasuva, but lately i'm noting to not needing that much killing power (bonasuva and sandeep usally are enought). In addiction the first games in the club with sandeep (3 so far, all with joss-kudra-ox.trio) left people unsatisfied witg their crews nearly whiped out and really confused them with the too much Academic interactions. And.. i don't own Myranda.
