  1. Finished a Fistful of Scrip. It's nice to paint some normal humans after all those weird ghosts, zombies and cyborgs. I had all their bandanas in red to tie them together. Parker is a neat model, even if his cape is a little too big. Doc Mitchell might actually be my favourite model in the box, I find his timid pose rather endearing. Brackett was the only one that was a little difficult to build; I had to put his left arm on first, then his poncho, and then wedge his right arm under the poncho, cos it wouldn't find any purchase without the poncho. The Bandidos are fun models. Swooshy coats!
  2. Montresor is done, finishing off the Guilty As Charged box I also finally got some proper bases for these two models, which I've had lying around for a while now.
  3. Lady Ligeia and the Guilty And Ryle for Leveticus
  4. PP's giant pig monsters might be good if you leave the guns off http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gallery/minions/warbeasts Most of them are on 40mm bases, but they do say what base size they come with anyway
  5. "Wait, Ashes & Dust does what exactly?" My opponent knew A&D came back from the dead but he thought it was like Bete Noire or something. Had no idea I could recombine the Core and Storm in the same turn that A&D died. Also, the complete immunity to conditions got a bit of a fuming at.
  6. For September I'm getting this lot finished Fistful of Scrip, Convict Gunslingers, Hans, Lazarus, Ryle, Hannah, and the last few models from Guilty as Charged (the rest of which I finished last week).
  7. my swag has also just arrived! box looks like its been through a mangle at some point but the models themselves are perfectly fine, which is all I'm bothered about
  8. It's Jacky D! Painting his crew in this monochrome scheme because Ive always wondered how it would look, i think it looks the best with the ghost types. Still sorting the rest of the crew (the electric chair guy is a bit of a fiddle) but I cant wait to try them out on the table.
  9. Please dont, i can only get so excited.
  10. bare in mind that 40k deals with a galaxy while Malifaux deals with two planets. its a significant step up in scale. Any mention of the Crossroads Seven in Ripples? And does anyone mind spoiling the vignettes for Jack Daw and Leveticus please?
  11. Order #10048 fulfilled! Apparently its in Newark. I've ordered Parker too, hopefully it's him and not the paparazzi
  12. Waitaminute this sounds like Metal Gear Solid 5. Young Psycho Mantis is a floating weirdo who is drawn to places and people consumed by revenge, and he's followed around by a giant flaming corpse ghost.
  13. The CR7 were great fun to paint. I had to experiment with that cloud thing a few times, but its just a white basecoat with 7 or 8 coats of green and brown wash.
  14. At this point you may as well just use Obey/Twist and Turn/Make a New Entry/Command Construct on Lazarus for that extra shot.
  15. very nice work, the blood splats are great but not over the top
  16. my first thoughts were to try it with Lazarus, because explosions. Rusty Alyce would also be pretty neat with it. Hamelin's Pipes is a SH attack, which could cause some problems depending on whats going on at the time. Then there's all the constructs like Ryle that Levi can hire...
  17. WHAT That's nuts, im going to have to try that
  18. burn me at the internet stake if you want, but ive always felt that the widow weaver is too cheap for what it can do with web markers. pretty much every model in the faction likes the enemy to have bad WP, and each marker giving a cumulative -1 is pretty powerful. I'd either have the widow weaver increased to 10ss or have it so that the penalty from the markers doesnt stack.
  19. i prefer these free upgrades rather than errata cards, it saves having to get a replacement card for the model
  20. that curse of the covetous from the dead outlaws would be pretty nasty with the crossroads seven around
  21. Thank you both! it all involves a lot of washes and highlights
