  1. I agree on both points. Multiple models having or to get the job done is good tactically. If you have to go higher to negate a, make sure that any models in following activations are not under resourced. If you have the last activation of the turn, know where the Black Joker is, a higher focus is not a bad idea.
  2. Sue is a good choice for card draw. Although he Hurt(s) himself, he can also protect himself well with his (0)'s. T Trappers at Focus range can really control the board, as well.
  3. It does say you can only discard one card per use. that being said, multiple focus+1 doesn't really help you, unless you have the Black Joker in hand.
  4. Yeah... I wasn't really thinking straight. Lust would be at 9 SS. Hmmm...
  5. How about: Wrath (I pay better) Lust Librarian Gunslinger i'm at work, so don't have costs.
  6. I can see how difficult his previous Oldest Magics wouldn't work without Levi draw. I feel (still a little salty here) that Jack is missing something defensive on his card. Oldest Magic looks decent, until a punk zombie comes in and hibachis him. Or Yan Lo becomes Armor 2 and Incorporeal (so much for the Ghost of Malifaux) for no better reason than he thinks he's DBZ... Nope, still really salty...
  7. Would you consider a Trapper? I've never played Hardcore Henchman, so I'm curious on larger game "staple" minion.
  8. I really believe that when they moved from 1.5 to 2e and "promoted " Jack to a master, they split him in 2 and then still Cuddled him. Or I can just be salty at all the power creep that Gremlins and the Thunders seem to have...
  9. Take some Cheated Fates Radio advice, ask your opponent if they would like to switch crews with you for a second game. See if the different perspective helps.
  10. Amdor brings up a lot of good points. However, I have to interject and reinforce a previous statement of mine. If you are facing Flesh Constructs, and against McMourning that is an almost guaranteed fact, never play with an empty hand. Ceaseless Advance triggers when an opponent ends an activation with no hand, giving the Flesh Construct Reactivate. Try your best to keep a card or 2 I'm your hand. It's hard, as there will be Rotten Belles around to force the discard, but it is something to keep in mind.
  11. That will work on just about any crew... Win games, lose friends... Oh well, my real friends know I'm a competitive SoB!?
  12. I was just considering Lust and Papa. Lust makes models Kiss, Papa comes in like an angry father seeing his daughter kiss a boy for the first time. He charges in and blows up! Lust seems completely embarrassed about it, but if you look really closely, she's wearing a "Winning!" smirk...
  13. My brain just cramped at the thought!?
  14. Good Luck... l'm semi-kidding. Ressers are fought and practice is really the best way to get a handle on your options. That being said, they also have a few weakness that you will need good timing to exploit. Summoning is powerful, but typically card intensive. Most model will com out slow and half wounds. So to make up for this weakness, they are models to help heal and speed them up. Find those models and take them out. The sooner the better, so snipers will be a great addition. For spirits in general, blasts or conditions will help a great deal. Spread the love to make their condition removal work overtime, which will help you to control the pace and tempo of the game. For Ikiryo (fear the spelling!), be ready to sacrifice a model, but don't kill it! Once it's out make sure to isolate it by keeper your crew mobile. For poison, Johan (or Johanna). Keep an eye out for Flesh Constructs. Keep a card in hand, to avoid Ceaseless Advance.. Also, if played with McMorning (Probably misspelled this one too) they will probably be coming at you with extremely high poison counter. Use Johan to clear it off before taking them down (Which will also help with another model whose name it eludes me at the moment!), If you don't think you can take down the model and one activation.
  15. Attack Wp to get around Squeel. Focus fire on him to burn through his resources. Hans can force upgrades off. Use terrain to your advantage.
  16. Bishop can also be a good model to take. He can target Df or Wl, and since Squeel is a Df trigger, go for will. Once he is up in the mix, his own Df trigger will also help to whittle down the gremlin crew size.
  17. Just remember that Dirty Cheater only works during the models activation, not outside of It. Pin him down with sniper fire.
  18. The Hodgepodge Emissary has a reactivate upgrade. The downside is you sacrifice the reactivated model at the end of its reactivation.
  19. Trappers for lynchpin models. Lazurus for groupings and bunches. If your good (or lucky) Rusty Alyce for some counter summons. Hannah, Librarians and Abominations for disruption.
  20. Jordan is correct, the curses are attached on a successful hit.
  21. Don't forget The Brotherhood of the Rat!
  22. You can also get Performers in there.
  23. That's because he's so old... he made the first slice...(rimshot) is this mike on? sheesh tough crowd?
  24. You can use Envy's (0) to give Jack Focus for a card, pretty decent for a first attack of a charge, when you really need to get a Curse shuffle started. Lust, Gluttony and Envy together in a scheme heavy game is Pretty fun. Rouge1 is correct on both points. Putting your opponent in the position to make a bad or worse choice will help you in the long game. The more times you force the choice, the more times your opponent is in the position to lose the game. A mid level crow for Sloth's defensive trigger will stop pretty much anything in its tracks. The 7 are best when you overlap each aura, while you are narrating each effect, as this will wear down your opponent. Having to hear "Oh, you didn't do X, you lose Y!", will make him or her want to beat their head against the table. Or flip it...
