  1. Abilities like the Corpse Curator's would not work, as it is only models that get to treat them as a marker and not the players/scheme. You would need an ability like the Gravedigger's Field Of Cropses, which doesn't specify only models treat them as something else.
  2. To clarify, nothing is being sent to DMH. No comment on if things currently in DMH will return to the ...living man's hand?
  3. Every time we ask Waldo delays the release by a random amount of time between -1 and 5 days
  4. Azahul has the right of it. "Auras are not cumulative" is vague to the point of uselessness when you take it out of the wider context the sentence exists in. In context it is perfectly clear that it is still referring to how auras affect models.
  5. I'm not sure what kind of "meaningful response" you are looking for when you just put forward your own assertions of things with no real backing beyond personal viewpoint as an absolute fact, but I guess detailing the history of the ability in the game, and why auras even exist in the first place isn't enough.
  6. Auras can affect multiple models, life leach being a prime example. In this case, the models being affected by the aura are the enemy model damaged by the pit trap, and the friendly model taking the attack. So no matter how many vatagi huntsman try to use Set Up The Kill, they only need to discard 1 card. If they do, no enemy model gets to attack them. If they don't, a different enemy model for every Set Up The Kill used will be able to attack them.
  7. If they don't know what the aura symbol is sure. "Most players" Also not a bug. Just not as effective as some would like. Not at all the same situation. An FAQ was used as a targeted nerf to an ability but given language that had far reaching consequences as it changed how grammar worked. Auras were never changed from not needing LoS to needing LoS, and in fact many abilities exist that do not care about LoS at all but still have a range restriction. Things are auras because they're meant to be able to be countered by blocking LoS. Also, gravity well has existed as the exact same ability across over half a decade and 2 editions. If LoS wasn't meant to stop it I think it's pretty safe to say it would've been changed already.
  8. Zoraida is hands down the better of the two. Default Lucius just gets overshadowed by Zoraida, especially after the changeling change so his action funneling became a lot less efficient. The main draw for Lucius is his title version which drastically changes up his playstyle and the gimmicks that default Lucius can lean into, mostly involving the staggered condition.
  9. So if in the image above that level was actually just a blocking htX wall, would you still say it's not possible to make it so that the middle model is blocking LoS?
  10. You're misunderstanding what cross means in this case. Cross in this case means going from outside the curve, to inside the curve, to back outside the curve. The full mathematical definition of a tangent is that for function y=f(x), the tangent of the function at x=c will pass through point (c, f(c)) and have the slope of f'(c). If I use a straight edge, or even 2 straight edges, to line up 3 models you're not going to be able to determine that the models aren't perfectly lined up without getting microscope levels of zoom. It is certainly realistically achievable in a normal game. What isn't realistically achievable is proving that they aren't actually perfectly lined up. And even if you want to say that there's a chance that the models aren't actually lined up perfectly, the distances required to get it to that state are so negligible that you're splitting hairs over micrometers. The fact of the matter is that we know with how Malifaux sight lines work a 30mm model is able to stand in between two other 30mm models and we have tools available to us to get as close an approximation as humanly possible to that point. We know it's mathematically possible just like we know mathematically that a 2 models in base contact with each other are within 2" when one of them is pushed 2" away.
  11. Malifaux is using tangent lines is the point. What you're describing isn't a tangent line, it's a line parallel to the tangent because for it to be a tangent it must start within the curve of the base. I also don't agree that the placements aren't realistically achievable. You can get into human error and what we can actually measure, but then that would have to apply to literally everything about the game. How do we know that board is actually 3'x3'? How do we know models are actually on 30, 40 and 50mm bases?
  12. Sightlines fit entirely within the profile of a models base. They do not extend out past it to either side. If something is exactly 30mm wide and is lined up perfectly with another thing that is exactly 30mm wide, there will be no point where it passes the object without overlapping the object.
  13. A tangential sight line would start from a point on the base. If you line up any number of 30mm models exactly, then that line would go through the base of every model in the line. If a sight line is going through a base, which by definition it would have to, it is blocked by the first base after it starts. I'm not sure what you're imagining a tangential sight line to be where it starts from a point on one model, goes around intervening models, and then ends on that same point in on the final models base.
  14. The lasting game effect is that it can't interact and is ignored for friendly schemes and strats, not that it was summoned.
  15. All lasting game effects carry over, and the lodestone gets transferred as well, because that's what the replace rules say to do. Since the new Ashes and Dust is a summoned model and it was summoned that turn, it is ignored for the strategy so it can't claim the leyline.
  16. Ama No Zako can obey friendly leaders.
  17. The issue isn't something getting messed up, it's losing player engagement. Most people playing tabletop games don't want their rules updated very frequently if at all. They also don't want to have to constantly be getting new cards every time one of their models is changed. Malifaux is a physical game, and every change needs physical media to reflect it. Changes being too frequent leads to a whole host of issues.
  18. Because as they've said, erratas are limited in scope. Everything that needs buffed and everything that needs nerfed isn't going to all be done at once. This isn't a video game where a change is just a quick line of code that can be easily revised.
  19. Opponent has his crew confirmed Opponent unconfirmed his crew
  20. There are no triggers on melee actions to give a parasite token. Mimic is non-master. The only interaction with giving out parasite tokens to a Cadmus crew if you aren't playing Cadmus is to allowed Berserker Husks to use their Clamber trigger when using creep along to that model.
  21. It's not the dropping that triggers hazardous, it's resolving an action while in base contact with hazardous that does it.
  22. Nekima 2 causes her stuff to bleed a lot more and gets a lot more incidental damage from more vectors than just herself.
  23. It is, it stops most of the parasite token shenanigans.
  24. Viktoria and One of Many aren't what let you hire their other models, they just let you hire them at cost 0.
