  1. I'm a big fan of the following New Lucius Mattheson Crew (Neverborn) Size: 50 - Pool: 8 Leader: Lucius Mattheson Totem(s): The Scribe Hires: Mature Nephilim Inhuman Reflexes Mature Nephilim 2 Inhuman Reflexes Guild Lawyer Ancient Pact Guild Lawyer 2 Ancient Pact All 8 points are flex with Bowman, Doppelganger, or a pair of Changelings all getting mileage depending on the pool and opposing crew. Luci stays back, is usually under Scribe aura, and Serene Countenance means its really unlikely you want stones for prevention, you draw so much I never felt bad about bot having stones for cards, and needing suits for his actions is mostly matchup dependent on Purification imo.
  2. Manipulative and 6wds is not sturdy at all and if he's pinged himself for fast just once there are tons of things that just kill him with Focus and a Severe. I said I could only see the denial because he'd be hiding most game due to the above. Calling his attack Min 4 is way off, if anything you get Min 3 once per activation, that applies burning. It takes 3 burning past the first to increase that end of turn damage so you definitely don't get to count each instance of burning as extra damage. One of my regular opponents likes him in Kaeris, but there he get to hide him behind Pyres and he becomes an amazing control peice, pushing dudes post charge through pyres, denying attacks and the like.
  3. I think you'd want to pair Dreamer(who wants to wait for turn 3 for engagement to get more weaks out of his deck/summon a couple times) with someone that is very good at applying pressure early and for that I'd lean Z or Titania. Z is the stronger of the 2 and Swampfiend is an exceptional keyword that is absolutely huge(4 Henchmen, 2 Enforcers, 6 Minions) and she can turn all of her AP into 2 with triggers(Coordinated Attack on Hex, Burn Out and Ensorcel on Obey). You can build Z for any pool due to the flexibility of her keyword paired with NVB and Obey. While Fae isn't setting the world on fire Titania is an absolute monster. 14wds, can't be Severed, Life Leech, trigger to heal 2 on a cast that ignores concealment and is usually 6[+], damage track is 2/4/5 and if you dont need to heal can do +1 while moving an opposing model a long distance(2"+50mm+base) and often into Hazardous. She's not good into Symbols but can play the other 3 just fine IMO and prefers an all stars style list, at least the way I play her which is *aggressive*. I'd also say Z and Titania are NVBs 2 and 3, respectively, so you can't go wrong with either. Of the 2 Titania is the easier to play because she is harder to remove if overextended and has far less decisions to make than the stat 7 Obey with arc nodes.
  4. Never tried him, but he strikes me as doing alot of nothing most the game then maybe stopping a scheme. If there are multiple scheme marker schemes in the pool and your opponents master is the kind that favors those, an 8 point model that stops 2 scheme points is great. But they get to see him in your list before choosing schemes so they may just opt for others instead and a Mv5 Stat5 2/3/4, even with Fast, guy isn't setting the world on fire(forgive my pun). The 5" on Just Like You and 2" on Good Basket make it tough to get alot of mileage there since Candy is usually going to outpace them once she On Your Heels onto something. Not having to spend Dora's AP on Despair's Influence is awesome, but Woe generates no card draw so having to discard for it is rough. Euripides likes having a Changling around though because it gets the suit for the action so it can save him an AP if he wants to start his turn on a Reflection teleport to a pillar that wasn't there before.
  5. I wouldn't take WW with Dora simply due to her Terrifying have far less value when your opponent is expecting it an Manipulative and is probably going to bringing Ruthless. I can see value in dropping 50mm Severe markers for Titania to put her on [+] or for the Emissary to put his target on [-] or give him somewhere for Planted Roots.
  6. I need to play more games with Thoon but I'm afraid he is more of a meme than anything. It could be that be just needs to be taken OOK when an opponent doesn't tech in marker removal. Once per turn removes the possibility of out of activation shenanigans, but with Lucius you can get 2 Mimics and Changelings can copy Artic Pull to yoink Pillar'd models out of your opponent's reach. Maybe a meme worth exploring but I'm not super hopeful 🤣
  7. My last game was double IR Matures with Luci. Impassioned Defense and the card draw do alot for their survivability.
  8. Yea I've used BBS with Z because I also take Vasilisa with her alot to turn Voodoo Dolls into Stitched; growing into a Mature one 1 while also pulsing Focus twice before you really unpack feels good. Also with Z, a Black Blood splash is a good way to turn on Hard Knock Life for Bokors.
  9. Guild has Phi, Bayou has Franc, what is a model that sees play for you OOK? For me its Candy. Take her with Z and a Ride with Me and Ensorcel Obey later and she is in their face, manipulative and aura still up. Take her with Titania and you make a zone of take 2 damage, gain Stunned, and discard upon activation, with the Emissary (who is usually with Titania) Misery's push gets alot of mileage. How bout yall?
  10. Frightening Reminder is considered good and it has a TN while also being directly away. Lashing Tendrils will always succeed when targeting a friendly model that relents, can push in any direction, and has the added ability to target enemy models with a very strong trigger. It also targets Mv which gets around all sorts of stuff. Lashing Tendrils really is the Titania.
  11. Using Tendrils on your own models is the real sauce. Terrifying 12 is pretty decent and with HtW and 12wds it won't just fall over. I take Candy with Titania alot so it giving her a 4" push and also being a good target for Goody Basket is great. And don't forget Titania has My Loyal Servant on her claws and 12wds can really make use of that. He isn't for every table but he is definitely worth taking.
  12. I've never seen NVB referred to as bottom tier. Outside of summoning Obey is one of the strongest actions in the game and Z has it, stat 7, suited, with BFJ Stealth arc nodes and 2 extremely powerful triggers. Z is one of the top 3 non-summoning masters in the game (and she can even make the scrap from a Voodoo Doll that Vasilisa needs to summon a Stitched, then provides the card with a bonus that draws 6). @OP, don't give up. My main opponent is ARC main and my record vs him is positive. NVB can compete.
  13. 2nd'ing get the pool and come here for help. People giving list advice and insights as to why they're suggesting those picks should improve your knowledge of the matchup.
  14. Changelings are super niche, even with Lucius, and I wouldn't take them with Dreamer. I've tried Tuco a couple times but still haven't found where I want him, Dreamer probably isn't it though. Teddy is awesome, Serena following him around makes him very difficult to remove. Unless you really want Breath Fire from Carver, Teddy is just so much better IMO. I think Doppelganger has potential with Dreamer as a Stat 7 Lure, she can Mimic her own action, giving you a very reliable way to get a summon out from 12" (everything else in Keyword is Rng 8). Further you're always bringing Chompy and who doesn't like Stat 7 3/4/6 or Stat 7 Twist Reality. Another synergy is that Doppel and Serena both have Disguised so you can set up AP inefficient roadblocks. There is alot to like there.
  15. So I'm a total novice with OBS but I'd guess for your window swapping issue that you had Game Capture as your source instead of Display Capture. Try that? As far as the screen fidget you just have to find the zoom setting in Vassal that best fits your monitor. It probably won't be great and I think that not being able to "pop out" the map for manual resizing is agitating, but Vassal is free and the people coding it don't owe me any favors lol.
  16. Wicked dolls are very good for 3 stones. I'm of the opinion you usually want 2 that way they can leap frog down a table edge to scheme. If you've got Vasilisa as well its a nice package as she can turn their scrap into more Dolls or Stitched with a high enough mask. And when compared to a pass token for activation control you can look at using the Dolls activation as a pass token because they are usually quite far from the action.
  17. I was looking for a good proxy for Kabuki warriors earlier today, thanks
  18. Copy of Euripidolls (Neverborn) Size: 50 - Pool: 10 Leader: Euripides Totem(s): Primordial Magic Hires: Thoon Doppleganger Cyclops Cyclops 2 Wicked Doll Wicked Doll 2 Wicked Doll 3 Just 2 games so far but holy cow, Rune-Etched Ice is capable of doing so much damage. You can get up to 6 TN14 better-than-shockwave placements that don't require line of sight and you only have to flip 6's. Future sight is beyond underrated when paired with The Old Ways. Intuition isn't crazy, just helps plan the activation. Doppleganger with Thoon is pretty great, mostly just area denial because the threat of Thoon Icing someone is huge between knowing your top 3 cards and having the top of the discard pile to cheat from. Doppleganger having it too is just icing and what crew doesn't like having a Lure? I'm not really blown away by the Cyclops. They have an interesting kit to be sure, their bonus action and Min 3 with blast trigger is nice. Need to see more games with them, but I suspect Euripides and Thoon are going to hog the spotlight.
  19. Thanks. My plan was to paint them yesterday, but it took 3 scavenged 12v adapters to find one that could overcome the resistance on the steel wire I was using for the hit wire cutter and that was after I slagged the first wire by going straight to the outlet on the first attempt lol.
  20. Used a freshly assembled Euripides crew for my first game of M3E last week after a 3.5 year break. During the game my opponent, also just back to Malifaux after years, attempted to draw LOS over an empty 30mm base, which was an Ice Pillar. When I pointed out that it was Ht 4 he said, "You really need to model those." I had already ordered the Litkos 😎
  21. After playing it last night I intend to have 10ss with Euripides going forward. Playing against an empty handed opponent is absolutely absurd, it is hard to quantify until you do it.
  22. Played against Lady J last night. Both our first game in 3rd, but we've been playing table top games for over a decade and played plenty M2E. Rune etched ice is absolutely insane even when I knew I'd only be able to use it twice due to having the Black Joker in my top 3, thanks Intuition. Caused 10 Mv duels, 14 total damage done. Lady J took the bait and came at Euripides, I had the 13, 11, and 10 of Tomes in hand. Future Sight+The Old Ways left him empty handed and Euripides only took 6 damage. Thoon promptly put Lady J in ice. My hand was the absolute nuts, no denying that, but I think future sight combined with the old ways is EXTREMELY powerful. Taking 1 point to prevent a damage flip and strip a card from their hand is bonkers, and after the first trigger, you know what suit to target and you KNOW what to cheat to guarantee additional triggers. I had a good idea on my first one because I had caused him to turn so many cards over already from the Ice and guessed right. That was the top of Turn 2, Lady J was his second activation, he had cheated once with the Judge, once to get the leap attack trigger, and once on his first attack which was too high for me to beat. After that I cheated my 13 of tomes, old ways it on the next, and used my 11 on his last AP becuase I knew he couldnt beat it with his remaining card in hand. The rest of his turn was straight flips and me with almost a full hand (Arcane reservoir and Surge from Primordial).
  23. I appreciate the response. Arcanist have 3 demolitionists and a couple December models, Gremlins have 1 Demolitionist, Lucky Emissary, and Pere, for Guild I'm just seeing Riotbreaker and Papa Loco with Blow it to Hell, as well as Basse, but his requires LoS to a model, a trigger, and that model to be within 3 inches of a pillar. I used the app and filtered for destructible so it's possible I'm missing something. The pillars are definitely worse against shooting crews, because LoS is harder to block than charge lanes. Is there something else I'm not seeing?
  24. Can you expand on this a bit? I haven't played a game since M2E and just finished putting together Euripides box, Cyclops, and Bultungin. Just looking at the cards Euripides and Thoon have a lot of cool tricks. Rune-Etched Ice is a shockwave that leaves behind impassable terrain that Euripides can teleport to, or push for more AoE damage, that can also disrupt the targets positioning. Thoon can bury models and move them around with his chain and Arctic Pull, Doppleganger with him seems nuts. The ice pillars themselves appear really powerful if put in in the right places, but I'm likely ignorant of out of faction tech for removing markers. Thanks in advance.
