  1. We're nearly all ready to go for Sunday's Worcester Shindig event. It looks like we have eight players which will make it a small (but not insubstantial) affair. If there are any later entrants please let me know asap. The rulespack can be downloaded from https://www.dropbox.com/s/83tvbctluo68t63/Rules Pack - Worcester Shindig 2018.pdf?dl=0 though I'll have some hard copies on the day so it's not necessary to print these out. Please note I've revised the rulespack slightly again. As well as dropping the painting requirement, I've also dropped the requirement to pre-register at bag-o-tools.com. Given that size of the event and the lack of internet at the venue I'm going to manage the scoring and ranking 'Old Skool'. I've only received payment from four of the players. If you haven't paid, please do so beforehand (£15 by paypal to brass.monkey.malifaux@gmail.com) or pay in cash at the event. The list of confirmed entrants is: Rik Philips (Rikk) Steve aka Oso Oco Oz Goff Craig Colley (Reservoir Dog) Shaun Mitchell Phil Parker Karl McConnell Declan Larcombe If anybody has any special needs, or if you have any questions, please let me know beforehand. Thank you, Mat Richardson-Jack (aka “Brass Monkey”) brass.monkey.malifaux@gmail.com Henchman ~ Worcester War Games
  2. Oh man! You've just set the delivery date back another couple of months. Don't ever anger the Kickstarter gods!
  3. The main Wyrd website gives a good overview of the fluff and each faction. You probably want to check out this bit: https://www.wyrd-games.net/malifaux-resurrectionist
  4. Please note there is now no painting requirement for this event. Painted models are still encouraged and there will be an optional painting competition, but players are free to bring along whatever models they have built and based. The rulespack has been amended accordingly.
  5. It's two-and-a-half weeks until the 'Worcester Shindig' tournament (Sunday 1st July) and I'm hoping to finalise some of the planning (including prize support!). It's a friendly three-round 50-stone event, with two-and-a-half hour round lengths and pre-announced strategies/schemes. £15 to enter which includes lunch. Venue is 'Worcester War Games' (Worcester UK). There are still plenty of places available, so if you're interested please head over to the tournament's forum thread for more information and a links to the rules pack: "Click Here". Let me know if you have any questions, and hopefully see some of you there!
  6. Yes, yes and sort-of-yes. It's the projectile (gun) symbol that determines wheher you need to randomize if targeting engaged models and whether you can take the action whilst engaged yourself. Conversely, if you're using a Ca or Sh action and there's no projectile (gun) symbol then you don't need to randomize and can take the action whilst engaged yourself. I think that strictly speaking a melee action is one that uses the Ml statistic, so it doesn't really make sense to "use a Ca action in melee" but if there's no projectile symbol (gun) then you can target a nearby model with a Ca action that you are engaged with/by.
  7. Ah ok thanks. So I was right about first but you need BOTH suits for latter. Good to know - thanks.
  8. Hey folks. I have another couple of really basic questions that I should have probably asked yonks ago but was too ashamed to ask! Firstly, if a player chooses to reveal a scheme then I assume they must do so at the very outset of the game, not at any point they choose before the game ends? Is that right? Secondly, if a stat trigger lists two suits then does the model need to meet either trigger or both triggers? I would have thought it's the former but I know I could be wrong. Thank you.
  9. Quick reminder to sign up for this if you're interested. Just less than a month to go!
  10. Hi, I've seen an event shared to the TTB face book group for a Free RPG Day event. They'll be running a penny dreadful called The Show Must Go On. There's another reference to this on the Free RPG Day website (apparently the physical packs for retailers to buy have sold out), but nothing on these forums. Are these physical packs the only way to get hold of this for Free RPG Day? Presumably in the future it will be available for purchase as normal? Thanks. Mat
  11. At some point you'll want to check out the unboxing articles by gmort: http://gmortschaotica.blogspot.co.uk/p/unboxing-malifaux.html?m=1 As well as invaluable for putting the boxes together, he includes a breakdown of the points value of each box.
  12. Quick reminder to sign up for this if you're interested. Five weeks to go!
  13. This replacement home for PMF looks really ace. It must have been a lot of work to transfer everything across but it was worth the effort. Thank you for leading this - massively appreciated!
  14. Worcester War Game’s inaugural Malifaux tournament will take place on 1st July 2018. We aim to appeal to players of all capabilities and experience. Each round will last 2½ hours, and both strategies and scheme pools are available beforehand (see below). We’re planning initially for a maximum of 16 participants but will review this as necessary and endeavour to accommodate as many as possible. The Rulespack can be downloaded from https://www.dropbox.com/s/83tvbctluo68t63/Rules Pack - Worcester Shindig 2018.pdf?dl=0 To enter, send £15 by paypal to brass.monkey.malifaux@gmail.com as a personal payment (include your name, forum name and proposed faction) or pay me in cash beforehand. Before the event itself, please register at www.bag-o-tools.com. Results will be submitted to Malifaux Rankings (please advise if you wish to be anonymous). You might also want to visit (or even join) the facebook group of the “Worcester War Games Malifaux Players” at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1871473253165616. Have fun. 15. Hey folks, I've created an updated version of the Puppet Wars Cards pdf. Click here to download it. A couple of issues with the original version have been fixed and I've added the Teddy models (as discussed in a couple of other threads in this forum). I've also added a summary of what models were released in each Puppet Wars box (both versions). Hope this is useful. If you have any questions, comments or feedback then please let me know. Thank you. Brass Monkey
  16. Bienvenue à l'wyrdness (and that's a lovely part of France you come from).
  17. Hmm.. Re-reading the rulebook it seems you're correct and that stat triggers can be declared after being on the receiving end of a disengaging strike. Not sure whether that's in the spirit of the rules or not. Do you have a specific model in mind?
  18. Quick update to say that we plan to run our first session of The Obsidian Gate on Wednesday 25th April. If you're interested please let me know. Thank you.

  20. I'm still thinking of getting a newbie group together to try this - what is minimum/maximum number of fated in each session? Thank you.
  21. Really looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Looking awesome so far. What are you planning for 'terrain'? I've seen cotton reels used before which looks very effective.
  22. Hello wyrdos, Just a quick update to let people know about Wyrd Wednesdays in Worcester. These are regular sessions in the store dedicated to Malifaux and all things Wyrd. 23. I know nothing about gremlins, but can offer you this link which you might find useful (all credit to khyodee at schemes and stones): https://schemesandstones.wordpress.com/2016/09/09/building-on-a-budget-gremlins/
