  1. Cool thanks for clarifying. i was getting mixed up with fated and handing it out. So cheers! I clearly nerd to play him more. Yay!
  2. Sounds pretty effective. I've not actually used bag of props so will have to give it a go. also just to clarify as wasn't clear from your description but collodi can only use 1 condition a turn given to him from an effigy so it would be either heal from brutal or stones from hodge and not both at the same time.
  3. My plan was for Collodi to attack a marionette and take it down to htk on 1 wound, then attack a rail golem stood next to the marionette getting the my will trigger (13x in hand) to kill the marionette, me to place the head marker near Collodi, Collodi 0 action creep to push 3" into btb with the marker, 3rd ap to pick it up. but I bottled it and played safe. But the crucial bit was not knowing whether I would place the head marker or Pete my opponent.
  4. Sorry if this has already been clarified but I couldn't see it anywhere specifically for this situation. On Collodi's attack he has a trigger called "my bidding" that allows the Collodi player to immediately take an action with the model you have just hit. If you had hit an enemy model and then made it kill one of your own models during the headhunter strategy who gets to place the headmarker? From reading all the relevant rules I am assuming the Collodi player would because that specific action by the enemy model was chosen and controlled by the Collodi player in that instance. But just wanted to be sure. Same goes for Vasilisa's obey (and any other obey for that matter). It is more straight forward if you are obeying your own models but if you obey an enemy model to kill your own model to place a head marker I assume the models controller that did the original obey get's to place the head marker (ie the Collodi player), even though it is an enemy model doing the killing of one of your own models and the obeyed model has temporarily become the acting model during obey (but importantly controlled by the Collodi player)? Phew. Please put me right if not as it came up in my head in a recent tournament and I decided not to try it as I wasn't sure who would have placed the headmarker and it was a very tight 7-7 draw. Thanks.
  5. Well done Chris and Josh, Thanks for a wonderful event. Brilliant work
  6. Taking my 8 cents and putting them back in my wallet
  7. But the illusionary forest is intended to be a forest right, you can walk in it and see in and out of it. So although it is height 4 blocking, it isn't impassable so not a solid object. So I would say the markers would still be on the ground but on top of the marker (by on top of the marker I mean physically on the table), but importantly only height 0 still. At the base of the trees / tree and not on top of a tree. My 2 cents
  8. Df 7 isn't that easy to hit
  9. I'm sure it used to when posting in Europe but don't think the UK board updates the recent topics on the right on the front page. Not sure if that is intentional
  10. Can you have word with Him and discuss the snow issue, it really isn't helping. If he can shut it off till after the weekend that would be much appreciated
  11. Remember Lilith can use herself as the friendly model within 6 effectively teleporting herself 12"
  12. More human than the Wyrd artwork but just got this lady to use as Vasilisa until plastics are released, will paint her up with wooden instead of skin and see how that looks http://elementgames.co.uk/warhammer-fantasy/dark-elves/alternate-miniatures/queen-of-shadows
  13. Do you still need my board? Now you have let Pete come it might be a bit of a squeeze as he is a little rotund
  14. And you called me out for the grudge.....so you can't complain now!
  15. I can guarantee you will all have a blast and will only increase your live of the game. The community is amazing and if you don't have fun I will give you some Lego. Win win
  16. I have always thought it went like this. 1) Someone tries to hit dreamer 2) You both flip and the attacker wins 3) This is then when I thought Dreamer has to decide whether to discard a card to pass on the damage. 4) After deciding who it hits (Dreamer or Nightmare) then the damage is flipped (but still using the dreamer and attackers differential). But seems like you are saying you only have to decide after the damage flip?
  17. Great stuff. How did you find painting candy?
  18. try and keep barbaros and the young together, kill something with barbaros and make the young fast giving them extra AP. Also try and keep rams in your hand as they have an infinite trigger on there attacks if you keep hitting rams you get to do the attack over and over again for a single AP. So turns them very deadly. Both barbaros and the young with an 8" charge you will be able to get across the board to him very quickly. Finally if you throw a young in to attack move barbaros up behind and do his 0 action to challenge. That way when your opponent tries to hit the young he has to take a TN14 WP duel first or the action fails. Also remember that barbaros's attack has a build in push so after you hit somethign if it is on low wounds then push it to within 1" of a terror tot who will get to pounce to kill it (if you put Rapid Growth on Barbaros then the tot will grow into a young if it kills it). Just some ideas
