  1. Malifaux returns to Vapnartak once again for 2017 for the 5th time in a row! I'll be running the tournament again which will take place on Sunday 5th February 2017 in York. Vapnartak (aka Vappa) is an annual gaming show held each year at York and features lots of traders, demo games, a tabletop sale and a ton of other stuff. The event takes place in the Knavesmire stand at York race course which is a really nice venue for a tournament. The format will be fixed faction, 3 rounds, 50SS per round. That also gives us a good long lunch break last year to allow us to have a look round the event, it'll be about 5 minutes shorter this year to accommodate the slight longer round times. The rules pack can be found at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fbm73x9v76xnpyo/Vappa-rules-pack-2017v1.0.pdf?dl=0 Tickets are £15 each, with the payment details in the rulespack. Please ensure you send the cash as a GIFT. Lunch is not included this year, or more specifically sandwiches are not included. You will stick get a can of pop, crisps etc but no sandwich. There are several food outlets onsite or bring your own. There will be a Wyrd guilder for every player. 2. Malifaux returns to Vapnartak once again for 2015! I'll be running the tournament again next year which will take place on Sunday 1st February 2015 in York. Vapnartak (aka Vappa, Varpatnik, Vappa Dappa Ding Dong or however you prefer to pronounce it) is an annual gaming show held each year at York and features lots of traders, demo games, a tabletop sale and a ton of other stuff. The event takes place in the Knavesmire stand at York race course which is a really nice venue for a tournament. I have space reserved for up to 56 players. The format will be the same as last year: fixed faction, 3 rounds, 40SS per round. That gave us a good long lunch break last year to allow us to have a look round the event. The rules pack can be found at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g6qym01asrypw0v/Vappa%20rules%20pack%202015v3.pdf?dl=0 The rulespack will be using two of the new strategies from Gaining Grounds 2015. All tickets are now sold for the event. Event sponsors: bendyboards.co.uk Ainsty Castings Wyrd Miniatures Element Games Tiny Worlds The split! As explained in the rulespack the tournament will be split into two 28 player mini-tournaments: The Lilith League and The Dreamer Division. This is so we can have a clearer winner after 3 rounds. I have been through the malifauxrankings.com, got all players who are currently ranked, ordered them and then separated them broadly speaking based on rankings, so 1st in one, 2nd in the other, 3rd with 1st etc etc. I've done some other juggling due to drop outs and things (like splitting gaming groups where it was reasonable to do so) but basically that's how it was done so no moaning please. Without further ado: THE LILITH LEAGUE: Mark Elwood Rob Smith Maria Wieland Graham Bursnell John Wharton Mark Shepherd Ben Harris Paul Butler Connor Barker Mike Marshall Lee Battrick Jimmy Balderstone Pete Rees Peter Sidaway Nate Zettle Bruno Santos Rob Balmforth Graham Allington Staurt Cain Mike Taylor Cy Dudley Nathan Chenery Dan Johnston Philippa Tickner Andrew Baranyai Adam Boyes David Waye Brad Zalad Round 1 Grudge Matches: Mike Marshall V Maria Wieland Nate Zettle V Pete Rees Rob Smith V Connor Barker Lee Battrick V Ben Harris THE DREAMER DIVISION Joel Henry Ant Hoult Greg Piskosz James Doxey Paul Campbell Josh Leak Martin Jones Chris Hay Joe Taylor Pete Wright John Paul Stubbings Ben Halford Garry Burgess Craig Galbraith Steve Revis Shane McDowell Connor Rooney Matt Spooner Bennett Morley David Wilkinson Rob West Mark Pattison Liam Dodsworth Neil Dee Scott Parkin Andrew Snow Philip Sanderson Jan Kuipers Grudge Matches Round 1: Chris Hay Vs David Wilkinson Joel Henry Vs Matt Spooner Reserve List: SCHEMES: Scheme pools will be available for all games on the day, from the start of the day, for all games. In order that you might want to start thinking about your crew selection, I have provided them in advance here: ROUND ONE (Standard Deployment) Extraction Schemes: A Line In The Sand Protect Territory Assassinate Spring the Trap Take Prisoner ROUND TWO (Corner Deployment) Head Hunter Schemes: A Line In The Sand Breakthrough Murder Protégé Distract Plant Explosives ROUND THREE (Close Deployment) Stake A Claim Schemes: A Line In The Sand Bodyguard Protect Territory Outflank Plant Explosives
