  1. The hat upgrade is not limiter, only sinistre rep and bag O tools.
  2. If you mix in the sinistre reputation upgrade, the Bishop Will have a crazy easy time dispatching off enemies.

    Freikorps?

I have almost allways used the specialist, But as it Was mentioned earlier, he is not suited for every game. Have had a game against lilith Were he Got tide up in turn two by a terror tot, and didnt get to do much the rest of the game, since he Got isolated. He needs support, but when he has it, he is great.
  4. If you want something a little different, but still durabel and with a reliable dg output, lang side some support, you Can take Bishop from outcast. As he Can force people to resist with wp, he Can make seamus heal quite a bit, and dish out some respektables dg, slow and so on.
  5. To start off with, sorry if i double up on something already said Usually when i play Seamus, my focus points are this: Positioning: Allways make sure you have positional advantage, and has been said you really need to use your bells for this purpose. Focusing: When i fire Seamus' gun i make sure always to have the focus condition. ALWAYS! Against normal targets a focused action will make sure you will almost always get a straigt flip, and the be able to cheat. Masters will usually use ss to counter this (1AP for 1 SS is worth it for me), and undead models can be hard to take down because of hard to wound. Sybelle: Her instant kill trigger is absolutely the best thing here. You can ss the suit.....enough said. Almost auto trigger is so so so good. She has already killed off both masters and henchmen in this way for me. I tend to babysit her a bit untill turn 4 or 5, then move in for the kill when the opponent has used most of his/her ss. Want to annoy most opponents? Bring two hanged and Seamus Sinister Reputation! This will allmost certainly drain your opponents hand, and open up for way earlier instant kills with Sybelle. CCK: When positioning, always make sure you palce him in front of another model, so he wont be pushed back, and that way can get a second shot with the gun. Also remember his melee instant kill trigger. At ml5, it is pretty decent against low df. high dg models. Have killed an Ice Golem with the little guy and the trigger. This was my two cents. I have focused a little more on the killing potential, since alot of people have given alot of good pointers on scheme running. My personal favorit scheme with seamus is "Make them suffer", pretty much tailored for Seamus. You can 1 shot most minions with a focused shot. best regards Sebastian
  6. No it does not. It only refers to all types of models (living, undead, construct and so on). Seb
  7. When it comes to Sybelle, the way i use her, is not to let her "tank" anything. She is by far the easiest model to trigger instant death with, by using a ss to add the crow to her melee, and then cheat in a high card to hit. I have more than once massacred my opponent, by waiting with her untill last activation, when my opponent has no more cards in hand, and then instant killing his master this way. Its allso very fun to spread Unnerving Aura upgrade on as many models as possible, so most models will allways take damage if enganged
  8. That does not work for me.
  9. For the swamp theme, wave 2 McTavish and his gator minions (all swampfiend), McTavish looks liek a solid model on his own, and he interacts with other swampfiend minons

    Freikorps?

If you intend to play them, then you have to include their beta models if you want a good experience. Their wave 1 models make for a horrible Freikorps crew. I mostly play with: Von Schill Librarian Strongarm Lazarus Totem Then i switch back and forth between specialist and trappers, or sometime include Taelor/Johan/Bishop depending on the task at hand.
  11. Very nice batrep indeed. As some of the others allready have said, you allmost never go wrong with "the shirt comes off" and "Survivalist". Taelor was ofc. a good situational addition to the crew. Personally i tend to run with a bit more "thematic" Freikorps crew, Usually containing something along the lines of: Von Schill Steam Trunk Strongarm Suit Librarian Then i fill up with the rest, which differs a lot depending on the situation, allthough i have found my clear favorites by now: Lazarus: With the steam trunk, Von Schill upgrade (the one with two 0 actions) and a Librarian, i have had him tank up a chick like Lilith for two whole rounds, before my opponent got tiered of it and switched target. Trapper: Better than the freikorpsmann in allmost every aspect, unless you need melee front fighters. Specialist: Allmost allways makes the crew...love this guy. And his ability to remove slow/paralyze is awesome! Appart from that, on rare occations i use Convict Gunslinger for a bit more firepower or Bishop for some utility/ml dg Just my two cents Hope its usefull. Seb
  12. on the 9'th of June there will be a demo night in Haderslev Denmark, both to new players, and veterans that want a first glance at the new rules Come have a good time, and lets test the hell out of the 2E rules best regards Sebastian
  13. Top left one would fit pretty well in there i think
  14. My experience tells me, that if you want to get the most out of Molly, you need to run her as a henchman, and not as a master. She is a very good support piece for someone like Seamus. She can keep up the summoning when the avatar gets out. She can make the crew faster. She can hand out -- flips to the enemy and so on. I find it better to take her Necrotic Machine totem, since she can summon it back anyway, if it dies. I dont find her to be very good as a master, since she is fairly limited in her model selection. Hope it helped a bit Best regards Seb
  15. Might do that at some point But will definately try it out once i get my avatar in the mail
  16. Have both the Viks and Von Schill, and usually if i play them together, i tend to use some of the following, depending on the strat: convict gunslinger, tealor, strong arm, librarian, desperate mercs, Killjoy (actually got quite fond of this big guy), jack daw, Hamelin the ratchatcher, johan. It all comes down to your opponent and strat. If you suspect that you will go against alot of constructs: Jack daw and Hamelin is out, Johan and taelor is in. Going against normal squishy guild people: Killjoy is in, strong arm is in, librarian is in. and so forth. but have had pretty good experience with all these models Best regards Seb
  17. It takes a 0 action and a 1 action to net yourself 3ss. then he still has 2 AP to throw out Leprous dance and what not, so there is still plenty to do, other than getting ss. And it was allso thought as a way to fund the cost of Leprous Dance, which will cost you 1ss to cast, no matter what.
  18. This was my point Keeping them within 6" of Hamelin or Nix, and then use the drain soul. So 3 low cards to 3ss and -1wp for all non master models in play at the time.
  19. mmkay...so have been wondering a bit: aHamelin drops 3 low cards to summon 3 rats, then to sacrifice the lot with "drain souls", to effectively make 3 low cards in to 3ss, at the cost of crew wide -3wp. Is this allowed if you keep the rats within the range of "Nihilism"? Does the -3 wp apply to models summoned in to the crew afterwards? Best Regards Seb
  20. Here follows the introduction to my 2 day tournament Enjoy. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pxnbpbzri5v6e4y/Nifcon%20Malifaux.pdf Seb
  21. Just to be ressing old posts, has this project gotten any further? Seb
  22. Welcome welcome welcome Well....For Ramos, i think its a fairly safe bet to start with the box, and then add an electrical creation, mobile toolkit and a Large steampunk Arachnid or two along with Avatar Ramos AFter that you can even expand with mechanical rider or a soulstone miner, if you want some more different models. For Seamus...you guessed it....the start box, and then you have alot of options for expanding: The safe bet: Crooked men, Bette Noir, Avatar Seamus, Grave spirit Other alternatives: The Hanged, Molly Squidp...something something and her totem, Deadrider, Dead Doxys, Von Schill (outcasts), a couple of canine remains, mayeb even some punk zombies (even though they do better with Nicodem). I think that Seamus is the one to choose if you want alot of different models to choose from, and ramos if you want to play the summoning game (kind of weird since Seamus is the resser, but suck at summoning stuff) Hope it helped Seb
  23. First off: Good choice Playing a fair deal of Von Schill myself. Started out with the box, and have expanded with Taelor, Gunslinger and Strongarm suit since then. I am very glad i got these models, since they bring different aspects to the crew. Taelor: Bring her to take down thos big, heavily armored golems/constructs. Used her to wreck a rail golem with out big problems. Remember to keep those crows for when agaisnt constructs Convict Gunslinger: Mid range shooting.....A LOT of shooting. average damage (2/3/4), but potential to fire of massive ammounts of shots. His trigger happy trigger comes up more often that you would think Gives you a good use for those masks that you might otherwise not get anything special out of. Strongarm suit....you know him allready. He can be a beast! An he can take quite a beating, especially if you bring a librarian to the table, to stand behind him and heal. Other than that, i can only agree to what ahve allready been said. Have grown more and more fond of the librarian as time has gone by. She is really powerful and versatile, if you use her right. Hope it was of some use. Seb
  24. when i look at your calculations here i get the following: 1+6+12+10=29 (8 pool) 2+7+15+8=32 [5 pool] So that actually costs the same Seamus crew 3ss in cache with the changes. Personally, i dont think the problem beeing that some models (grave spirit/belles) are doing "too well", but rather some models not beeing able to perform on par, in their given role. And when it comes to Sybelle, then i have not really had any problem with her beeing overpowered, have played with and against her, and cant really say i have seen any problem from either side. Can agree that the internal balance between, lets say, Copycat Killer vs. Grave spirit, isnt very good. But dont think its a price fix that is needed. Seb
  25. Im sitting in somewhat of the same situation atm. IM trying to plan out my next expansion for Seamus, and have been thinking some lists up Hope it might help you in your seach. I have gone a different way than you, so feel freee to use it or throw it in the trash. All lists are based around VOn Schill as Henchman in the crew: Liste 1 Seamus -avatar Rotten belle Rotten belle Rotten belle Crooked man Crooked man Von Schill Cache = 5. Good map control, and decent shooting from Seamus and Von Schill, along with a good amount of models. Liste 2 Seamus -avatar Copy Cat killer Sybelle Rotten belle Rotten belle Rotten belle Von Schill Cache = 5. Have been adviced to maybe exchange Sybelle for a gunslinger, but not sure about that. Based about what i can personally put on the table right now Liste 3 Seamus -avatar Grave spirit Rotten belle Rotten belle Crooked man Crooked man Von Schill Cache = 8. Variant of List 1. loose a Belle, but gain grave spirit and an additional +3ss cache. Liste 4 Seamus -avatar Grave spirit Rotten belle Crooked man The Hanged Von Schill Cache = 8. Very durable list, but few models. Hanged with Armor 2 is very hard to take down. My personal favorit is probably list 3, since you get both control, durability and a high ss cache. Hope it was helpfull of sorts Seb
