  1. Very nice video - really love the format. Looked like a fun game. Couple of minor comments - when the Austringer focusses (9:40) he gains as well as 18" range, meaning he needs LoS, I believe. Soft cover doesn't work quite the same as in Warmachine - you can't just 'toe in' to gain it. The Sorrow (19:40) wouldn't have benefitted from it as no line from Francisco's base crossed the soft cover to the Sorrow's.
  2. Inspired by the excellent article on introducing new players to Malifaux by Michael Kelmelis in Chronicles 13, I decided to do a few Youtube videos covering the basics. Here's the first batch - http://www.farfaraway.org/blog/2014/08/07/malifaux-m2e-video-tutorials/ Owen
  3. While I applaud making updates and improvements, creating adhoc, publicly downloadable versions of the module will lead to confusion as to which is the official version. It should probably just be sent as a PM to thrawnic.
  4. Hi, I made some videos a while ago - http://www.farfaraway.org/blog/2012/12/22/malifaux-vassal-module-loading-the-module-and-creating-a-map-video/ http://www.farfaraway.org/blog/2012/12/22/malifaux-vassal-module-controlling-models-video/ http://www.farfaraway.org/blog/2012/12/23/malifaux-vassal-module-using-cards-video/ http://www.farfaraway.org/blog/2012/12/27/malifaux-vassal-module-playing-online-video/ http://www.farfaraway.org/blog/2012/12/31/malifaux-vassal-module-killing-models-and-using-counters-video/ I hope they're of use. Owen
  5. Step 3 should be "File -> Open Module...". You open the module - importing is something altogether different (though confusingly on the same menu). That said, I'm not sure that answers the question. If you have version 1.31 of the module Izamu, the Armor may be found under Objects - Resurrectionists - Minions.

    question

Just join a room (double-click). You should auto-sync with the person who set it up. If asked join as an observer
  7. I have an iPad and it has Skype. I assume you can run your remote desktop software and it in parallel.
  8. What Tograth said... I find voice communication of some form is essential to achieve a timely and flowing experience for both players.
  9. Here's my latest map (.zip archive) Enjoy, Owen
  10. Shift+Left-Click allows you to select any piece of terrain. It can be dragged anywhere you wish. Hope that helps.
  11. Thanks for that. We got both of those things wrong alright!
  12. Here's a quick video (using screenshots) of a game I played recently - http://www.farfaraway.org/blog/2013/02/06/malifaux-vassal-battle-report-sonnia-vs-rasputina/ It was an intro/demo game for a new player (though experienced gamer) so was just a starter set game with a simple shared strategy.
  13. Select 'Load saved game' when the wizard launches and select the (downloaded) .vsav file. Alternatively use the 'File --> Load Game' menu option. A map is just a saved game before the game happened (and with neither Player 1 or Player 2 selected)!
  14. 'Open' the module, don't 'Import' it.
