  8. Thanks for sharing with us! My lazy way for getting away with 'smooth layers' and highlights is to paint very (very) thin layered paints onto white spray undercoat. By thin I mean atleast 1 to 1 paint and water. sometimes thick GW paint pots that may have been unused for a while may require even more water. Pick a spray primer brand that gives a roughish surface... I use Halford's Whtie Primer in the UK (literally, automobile primer... I use a similar product when im in Thailand) I also find that thinned down paints are easier to control as you apply a whole layer. The paint will then collect in the recesses, and less will remain on the raised surfaces. That creates automatic shading. If you check out my painting log on this forum (signature below) you will see the the clothing of my models (especially the more recent ones)... alot of it is purely due to this 'wash thin paint over white undercoat' technique. See how it works for you! PM me with any questions if you want as well. And as always, there are so many techniques, discuss with lots of people and try different things! Nickie
  9. Thank you viruk for your commentary. They are very constructive! Also I will be waiting to see your version of this!! Thank you wings and lussuria my trick is to use seriously thinned down paints on white spray undercoat. Every layer feels like a heavywash to me! ---------- Post added at 01:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:15 AM ---------- thank you all for following my blog. You are all very inspiring! Hope you enjoy the rest of the marshalls.
  10. New Plastic Guild Death Marshall The lighting doesnt seem to catch my shading on the cloak so in reality it looks abit less orange and more leathery. Comparison with Art box Comments and Criticisms Welcome! Thank you!

  22. Hi! Oh Amazing Pickles! Thanks for contacting me! I'm a henchman moving from Cornwall to work in Stafford for the next 12 months. I've tried to get in touch with all the henchmen in the area but their not too bothered haha. I'm on the forum with Stafford Games, spoke to a few people there and they have about 10 people who own malifaux crews, played a couple of games and unsure about the rules, they need someone to teach them how to play it. I'm in Bangkok at the moment but will arrive at the end of this month so i'd love to catch up with you and your guys on a Thursday evening. Where exactly do you guys meet? Nickie
